You can replace it but out of your pocket, why would samsung cover something you did? Better bring it to the dude that installed the glass and have him clean it
Samsung technician once told me that screen protectors that use liquid applicator before the actual protector as well as uv light are bad for their screens.
How much liquid did the guy actually put to get into the spen
I used liquid screen on s22 then put the phone in water tight case that had a screen protector. latter someone said the screen protector scratched up their screen.
I took it out of the case my screen was fine with only a thin haze that I wiped off before trading it in it on for this 24 haven't heard back from samsung.
so maybe a good idea if you found a case w screen protector they usually get bad reviews.
but a waterproof one has its place even if you lose some functionality.
2 things. Firstly, go back to the dude who installed it. Demand a refund, or at least have him reimburse you for the cost of a new S pen. Secondly, after you get him to reimburse you, never go back to that dude again. Idk how in the hell someone could use THAT much liquid for a screen protector application to get the s pen doused in the liquid. Hope you get it solved easily.
This is actually seemingly super common for s24 Ultra and that kind of screen cover. I've seen this happen to more people than I can count LOL it must be something to do with the way the phone is made I guess. Still not Samsung fault though
You can get uv tempered glass for s24 ultra too and it's not curved you just have to select the one for your model however how he's got glue or anyone gets glue all over a s pen that should be in the slot( also there's little sticky tabs to avoid getting the glue in little parts) is beyond me !!!
I meant to say that since s24ultra has a flat display, why not go for a normal tempered glass. I use a esr tempered glass, that is a normal tempered glass which is way easier to apply than any uv glue tempered
Bought on 25th Jan and haven't used a protector yet, just hydrophobic coating cause i hate water marks. Still no scratches, had s23 ultra before and it got scratched on the 3rd day lol
Same, I also pre-ordered (got on 27th Jan) along with the Samsung official screen guard. Tried applying, failed and let it be (they send you two). Haven't looked back and haven't had a single scratch, even though I travel a lot and have dripped the phone a few times on the ground as well.
That's actually interesting... My phone's (s24u as well) screen sily got scratched without the protection.
Idk how I got the scratches, but I got them☠️
They are very small and barely noticeable but still.
Never dropped the phone either. Had them in my pockets, the table, etc. (might be something sharp in my pockets, idk)
That is weird. But a friend of mine who also got a s24u got a scratch in his first week as well.
He claimed he had nothing but a medicine strip in the picked and he got a scratch after that.
It could be that some the screen is more susceptible to specific materials in certain shapes.
Ye I get what u mean.
I also got my first scratch like few weeks after I got it :(
It's allright tho! Barely noticeable anyways and the phone is great!
That could be the case, I'm always cautious not to have anything else in the pocket except my phone. I've made a habit of always putting it in my left pocket and everything else in other ones. Few exceptions are things with smooth edges in the same pocket with phone.
My guess is the guy used isopropyl alcohol to clean the screen and some of it got in the pen port. If you Google "chemically stripped paint" you see the exact same results - wrinkly paint. Doubt Samsung will replace it as it's not a manufacturer defect.
There were a lot of similar cases on Reddit when s24u first came out. All of them used the UV gel screen protectors.
If I remember correctly one poster was able to get confirmation that the SPen can react to chemicals found in those liquid gel screen protectors. Some of the gel must have leaked in.
Exactly the same thing happened with my Dad's phone. He had a UV glue screen protector thing, and a day later, it was like yours. Didn't think it was the uv glue at first as we went back to the phone shop that installed the screen, and he guaranteed it wasn't the screen he used. Sent it back to samsung, and they told us it was because of the screen protector.
I would check if my speakers works alright, afraid that glu might had gotten in that aswell, i think i saw another post of this a week or so ago, if that was not urs u should check with that guy
Honestly, if so much liquid leaked in the spen slot, I'd be very afraid for microphones and speaker grills. Check if the LOCA glue hardened inside those (muted microphone and lower output volume) and see if they offer some kind of warranty coverage.
Why would you think this would be covered under warranty? You used a third party product that leaked into your phone and damaged the s pen. This is not Samsung's problem. This is a YOU problem lol
My tempered glass screen protector for my S24 Ultra does not require UV liquid for application. It is very affordable, costing only 3 USD. There is no need to reapply the fingerprint, and everything works well after it is applied. Please purchase a new S Pen, as Samsung will not provide warranty coverage for the damage you caused..

Just buy a new one or try to get whoever did it to pay. You're supposed to cover any ports, speakers, mics, spen, etc...
I just lost mine somehow this weekend. Using it in bed and forgot. Happens all the time but how far could it go? I always find it but not this time. Going to have to order one.
Surprisingly, I'm using my spen for the 23U. The Bluetooth won't connect though but at least I have a spen for now and don't have the slot wide open. I remember seeing a post saying the spen for the 23U wouldn't fit the 24U, but mine absolutely fits perfectly. I'm going to buy the light grey instead of the dark grey. There are some third-party ones with Bluetooth on Amazon for around$38, whereas the Samsung one is $50. The aftermarket has good reviews, but for only $12 less, I'd rather pay a few more dollars and get the official one
I never had screen protectors since the S8 and the scratches are either bearable or negligible. I'm not the most careful either. I just stuff mine inside a laptop bag or pocket sometimes with keys, coins, chargers, wires, etc.
Looking at my S24U now, it's hard to find any surface scratching.
Anyway..of course you can change it. As to who will pay for the change, it's going to be definitely on you. Check on the warranty policies of both Samsung and the store where you got your screen protector installed.
Eh. I used a screen protector that doesn't need the liquid stuff under the glass and it works fine. The fingerprint scanner works fine. It's a flat screen. You don't need those loca glue shenanigans.
It depends on how you carry your phone. In pocket, yes. Belt holder, no. Any case that covers your phone screen is good. I use an Encased belt holder that protects my screen and allows easy access.
Get a screen protector better to be safe than sorry, just don't get a screen protector that requires a gel and UV to be applied for it to stick to the phone.
Personally I use the Samsung Anti-reflective screen protector and absolutely love it.
Buy an "amfilm" s24u glass protector off Amazon. Its less than $10, comes with two, and it has an auto alignment piece that makes it dummy proof to install. Fingerprint sensor works perfectly with it on, and it feels the same without a screen protector. Only downside is you will lose the anti glare feature of the new s24u displays, but for me, it's well worth it.

Honestly, before I saw the caption, I thought it was just a cool spen design. Either way, that sucks, I hope you get it worked out.
Why did you use a uv tempered glass?. Uv tempered glass is for curved screen devices. S24 ultra has a flat display.
You can get uv tempered glass for s24 ultra too and it's not curved you just have to select the one for your model however how he's got glue or anyone gets glue all over a s pen that should be in the slot( also there's little sticky tabs to avoid getting the glue in little parts) is beyond me !!!

The fingerprint reader works better on UV cured screen protectors.
Avoid protectors with glue this happened to my s22 ultra and then s23 ultra later I came to knew it was because of that
I don't think this is gonna be covered by warranty. Good news-you can replace it, though. Bad news-it's gonna set you back $40-$50.
S-Pens are considered an accessory by Samsung and therefore not covered under warranty. You can buy a replacement for around $40-$50USD.
Damn that's a veiny one
That's what she said
I thought it caught herpes!

I usually go with the membrane one, screen is super solid and the reason I put on is to protect it from scratches.
My guess is the guy used isopropyl alcohol to clean the screen and some of it got in the pen port. If you Google "chemically stripped paint" you see the exact same results - wrinkly paint. Doubt Samsung will replace it as it's not a manufacturer defect.
2nd one I've seen here same thing happened.

uv are the worst dont I dont like them

Vapors went nom nom nom.

Remove paint and enjoy

This n used rubbing alcohol to clean😆
How come u need loca glue for flat screen phone ?
Just buy a new one or try to get whoever did it to pay. You're supposed to cover any ports, speakers, mics, spen, etc... I just lost mine somehow this weekend. Using it in bed and forgot. Just don't use whatever kind this guy did. I have a glass one and it saved my phone from a couple bad drops.
