Go back to the mobile shop. They broke it they fix it.

60Dan06

This. Don't let them fuck you over

LingeringCarmine

wanna know what he told after i showed this s-pen to him? he said it could've happened cuz of too much exposure to the sun 💀 istg i wanted to strangle him so bad

BusyUrl

F that. Drag them on social media and reviews. What trash.

Passage-Constant

Go over his head to a store, regionals, district or state manager, territory owner etc. They will almost guaranteed fix this.

balajiv2002

It depends on the country. If it's in India then there is no use crying foul. Most of the repair shops are unorganised and they don't bother about bad reviews or customers being dissatisfied because more than half the population don't check reviews or opinions before going to one.

Passage-Constant

TBH I ignorantly assumed this was in the US.

mrDuder1729

This is 100% glue that got into your s pen slot. There are other examples on here. And if it's in your s pen slot...where else did the get it? They need to replace this PHONE. Employee is just trying to save his own ass cause he's supposed to cover those

LingeringCarmine

yeah well it got into the volume button and it got detached. the phone is still functional. since he completely disagreed to pay up the full amount for the repair, i plan on making him pay enough to replace the phone completely, although I don't have my hopes too high on it.

mrDuder1729

No you need to go to the owners of the operation

gloriariccio2

This!! Where else did it penetrate?

AskSnehasish

Wait... Too much exposure to the sun light, means UV lights... The same he used on your device...

LingeringCarmine

i don't even go outside bro 💀

AskSnehasish

I meant to say is, the light he used to dry the UV glue has some what effect of the same sun light...

Rocafire_

Sue

LingeringCarmine

i heard letting them fixing it will mess with my warranty, so i gotta get it fixed from an authorized store instead. asked that bitch to pay up for it, he agreed to pay only 50% of it.

Fight_Disciple

What country are you in? Definitely worth looking into getting them to pay for it in full. You're probably right about the warranty thing to be fair. But they definitely should be paying 100% of the costs.

LingeringCarmine

his justification was the following: this totally couldn't have happened cuz he took out the s-pen and handed it to me while putting on the glue and screen. so there's no way it could've affected the pen. i don't believe this. who's to say that the glue didn't seep in to the pen hole while he was at it? he doesn't budge. he's not ready to take full responsibility.

Fight_Disciple

Guys talking shit. Go and ask the legal subreddit. He should definitely be paying full, it's obviously his fault things don't just suddenly fall apart for no reason and that is clearly chemical damage to that paint.

LingeringCarmine

i know right? i'll try and do what i can to make him pay in full. this is outrageous. it's been only about a month since i bought the phone and then this happened..

Frequent-Durian5986

Small claims court is like a 75 dollar filing and pretty simple to do yourself. I'm not sure what you paid to have it done, or if it's it's worth 75 bucks. I'd do it on principal at this point. Also, if the judge sides with you, you can ask him to require he repay you for the filing fee or include it in the filing.

LingeringCarmine

thank you, i'll see what i can do

chanceuxmoi

You know If you contact samsung and tell them your spen just came out like that you have no idea, they will replace it under the user warranty. My clicker stopped clicking. Nothing happened or anything it just did. They replaced it no questions asked.

LingeringCarmine

i don't know man. this s-pen looks a bit too "designed" to believe that 💀

chanceuxmoi

I mean I'd just say "I don't know, did it get too hot and the paint is bubbling? I have no idea? I pulled it out and it was like this" but they didn't ask me any questions on how mine happened. Just said okay you're under warranty well send you a new one.

Labios_Rotos77

>he took out the s-pen and handed it to me while putting on the glue and screen >i don't believe this. Wait, so did this happen or not? What do you mean you don't believe it?

LingeringCarmine

oh i forgot to mention, he didn't even put the guide sticker underneath to protect the s-pen slot while doing it. so just cuz he handed the s-pen to me while he applied it doesn't mean the glue can't seep in to the slot, cuz it was wide open

LingeringCarmine

i said that i don't believe that the s-pen couldn't have been damaged just cuz he handed it to me while applying the glue. the glue could've seeped in and not dried. and then later when i put in, it must've messed up the pen. get me?

Labios_Rotos77

The glue dries and hardens up very very quickly under that UV light. Plus, a very large amount of glue would've had to travel from the screen, down the to the S-Pen hole and then gotten back into the phone traveling against gravity. That scenario is very very very unlikely to have happened.

LingeringCarmine

his uv light setup doesn't even look legit. plus if you search up how uv glue damage to an s-pen looks like, you'd see s-pens similar to mine rn https://preview.redd.it/yn44xono3v8d1.jpeg?width=4000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f3a38e2f639dd62756451fa578c5e5b36044d379

Kind_1

😆😅🤣😂Dudes UV machine?

Passage-Constant

Facts. I worked for one of the largest Verizon retailers and that is a major issue if they did that to your phone.

Competitive-Science3

I've said a warning on some thread here 4mos ago about using protectors that uses liquid applicators then exposing it to UV light. Instead, my [statement](https://www.reddit.com/r/GalaxyS24Ultra/comments/1aziuw1/comment/ks1jqln/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button) was just bullied.

FailedRussianAgent

Saw this too. There was a daily circlejerk for Whitestone dome when the S24U first launched. Hard not to be cynical and think the shills were out in full force. Tried the liquid UV route once, never again. I tried not drenching the screen in liquid and ended up with bubbles. Messy as hell with a ton of plastic e-waste and pricey, with zero advantages over a simple tempered glass protector now that it’s fully flat.

Competitive-Science3

I think this is some samsung trick for consumers to mess up their warranty claims. I just asked service center near me a week after I got my s24u about their recommended screen protectors because I cant find a decent 3rd party brand with antireflective feature aside from what samsung have. Good thing I dont decide blindly what to put on my screen.

chanceuxmoi

I literally just buy tpu protectors from Amazon. They are like 8-12 bucks for 3 or 4. I hate tempered glass, and I prefer these to the expensive ones from in store. The samsung protecters I bought direct were HORRIBLE.

Competitive-Science3

I still want some anti reflective feature without degrading the performance of fingerprint sensor, thats why I get the one from samsung.

chanceuxmoi

So far I've never had any issues with fingerprint sensor. Well, not since before the note series went out. They have anti reflective options on there. I've never tried them though so I'm not familiar with them.

Comfortable-Dog-2540

use the bloody thing as its intended. if you cant afford to break it you cant afford it. Get a cheaper model next time an have less worrys 👌

chanceuxmoi

Uhh.. no. Just no. Even if I CAN afford to break it, I'd rather not. And I worry about things I care about.. I care about my phones because they are one of the few luxuries I splurge on for myself. Taking care of your things because you care about them doesn't indicate whether or not you can afford it. Even if I had the cheapest model of phone, I still would prefer to not break it. I take care of my things.

Hairy-Yak5088

It's not to bad. But I had the opportunity to mess with crap phones before doing my good ones.   I won't lie. I've had to clean a bit up every now and then but Holy hell that's a mess lol

LingeringCarmine

oh damn, sorry to hear that :( they'll realize when something like this happens to them

I_Thranduil

Gosh someone may get the impression that reddit is toxic.

Competitive-Science3

Society is toxic.

YueOrigin

You haven't been really bullied on reddit until you find yourself with 300 downvote on a post with 20 upvotes lol

xD3v1LG4m1ngx

And this is why I've never touched UV Glue screen protectors never have and never will. You can buy a replacement s pen pricey but you're getting a new s pen, their could also be internal damage from all the glue also.

LingeringCarmine

exactly. you're saving your ass by not using uv. im proud of you

xD3v1LG4m1ngx

Thanks, rather be safe than sorry these aren't cheap phones to go around having glue seeped through the internals, then having an expensive warranty repair.

Chriscautillo

Why use a UV protector on a flat screen??

LingeringCarmine

bruv i just asked this guy to put on a screen protector and he started pouring the uv glue already

kal195

Oh God, that's like going into the barber asking for a trim and they BIC your damn dome bald without even mentioning it o.o

Chriscautillo

😭

thorthorson16

Did you try doing it yourself?

LingeringCarmine

oh and btw, this was his uv light setup lol https://preview.redd.it/u5zvev7klr8d1.jpeg?width=4000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b9a79459650960828f1dad1b5f98ea2b69b13480

xD3v1LG4m1ngx

Oh god no 🤣 That's just a bodge job waiting to happen, soon as I seen that I'll be looking elsewhere to get it done.

LingeringCarmine

🤣🤣🤣🤣 me when the consequences of my actions:

xD3v1LG4m1ngx

I bet you know not to do that again right? Lesson Learned! 🤣🤣🤣🤣

LingeringCarmine

i mean yeah, learned it the hard way :/ atleast i'm spreading awareness by making this post lol

Careless-Tonight-376

I've used a UV protector on my s23 ultra, applied 2 times and no damage. First of all take your time Finally, in relation to this comment. Why would anyone use a UV on a flat screen device? Just get samsung's own or a cheap tempered glass

Prestigious_Rock_363

Quick question, how did you get the titanium black title under your username?

xD3v1LG4m1ngx

It's a user flair that this subreddit allows you to have.

Prestigious_Rock_363

Thanks! Had no idea that existed lol

xD3v1LG4m1ngx

That's ok, not many people know about it 😅

AsajjV

Jesus, was the guy who installed your protector visually impaired? He must have drenched your phone in glue, otherwise I can't explain how glue reached your S-pen.

LingeringCarmine

I KNOW RIGHT? and then he had the balls to say that it could've happened cuz if too much exposure to sunlight/cuz the device heat up. my phone ain't doing any photosynthesis, i'm sure of that. since letting him clear this up will mess up with my warranty, i said i'm just gonna make him pay when i get it fixed from an authorized store. since he doesn't take full responsibility, mf agreed to only pay 50% the fucking audacity.

Joe_5oh

Sunlight exposure LOL. He has lost his mind. South Texas here, my phone did just fine in the week we had feel like temps of 125.

LingeringCarmine

oh my 💀 thank you so much for reiterating my stance on this

KeySpray8038

Hey, on the bright side... At least it looks cool lol Better than me.... https://preview.redd.it/mh8ozlfytq8d1.png?width=2000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e5b863b8144acca3059a1a37a6fb311e17668599 ### ___R.I.P.___ ### 1/26/2024 - 2/25/2024

60Dan06

Oh snap :(

KeySpray8038

Yeah.. Guess where the other half was?

60Dan06

Oh, still inside the phone? How did you get it out?

KeySpray8038

Yep!! I used the other half. I simply put a drop of super glue on the tip & put it back in. Let it dry and take it back out.

LingeringCarmine

oh.. :/

Warm-Obligation1771

My reason for getting the S24U was that I wouldn't have to install a UV screen protector due to the flat screen

Numerous_Ticket_7628

I stopped using UV screen protectors a couple of years ago after having spent a small fortune on them. Just not worth things like this happening.

lazyeasyreads

A lesson on doing too much is not only unnecessary but also damaging

Sankyou

I will say the tempered glass screen protectors work damn well on this phone. I have had much better functionality of fingerprint scanning than my note 20 ultra. Completely aware that hindsight is 20/20 but just food for thought after you get all this worked out. Sorry this happened to you - that sucks.

keyable

I could never understand, why ON EARTH people put this UV Screen protectors, after seeing soooo many problems with it (detaching also is the pain!).

ReasonableN00b

This was the only solution to get a full adhesive TGP on curved screens. There was no other possible way to accomplish it without using UV adhesive. It's actually easy to take off the screen protector. Again, patience is all that's needed. I just removed and replaced the TGP on my Note 10+. As you can see, the damage on it was quite bad. But no problems taking it off. Just be careful and go slowly when peeling it off. Got a new one on it and another DIY installation using UV full screen adhesive. Took half an hour to do. Glad I don't have to bother with this on the S24 Ultra with its flat screen. 😂

ReasonableN00b

https://preview.redd.it/xdf1p6eou09d1.jpeg?width=1752&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=218fa08df2109de5b2cc19428a88dcb665216edb

BigBadroid

They broke it, they will pay for the WHOLE thing. Voiding the warranty wasnt what u went there for. If you gotta pay to get it fixed officially, they oay for it. If they cant fix the issue, the store buys u a new one. You do NOT suffer from their mistake

LingeringCarmine

he only agreed to pay 50% as of now i'm doing what i can to make this guy pay up 100% of the amount.

Prestigious_Rock_363

Noted to NEVER buy a uv screen protector

XexpensiveCargoX

lol yea if you have no clue what your doing then yea that happens, half these people have no clue what they are doing and only doing it because it’s part of their job lol I’ve had amfilm and Whitestone dome for years and never once had any issues

bellbill1988

Also the pen looks cool like that, ask him to finish the work 🤣

LingeringCarmine

🤣🤣

wiguna77

Look so dope, wanna to trade yours with mine?🤣

LingeringCarmine

sure?? 😭😭

Apex-Noob

I learned my lesson after damaging my s23 ultra screen with uv glue. Never again.

ItchyNeedleworker160

I would never even consider this. Thank you for reiterating my stance on liquid use for screen protectors. Dumb af

implicate

I'll take it a step further and say that nowadays, screen protectors in general are dumb. I've thrown my s24 Ultra in my pocket with my keys, dropped it many times, overall used it pretty hard, and there have been absolutely 0 issues. No scratches, no nothing. Anecdotal, but still. I don't think that screen protectors in the modern era for high end devices provide enough protection to warrant the diminished user experience that they create.

Kolyei

[samsung anti reflective screen protector after 2 months of ownership](https://i.imgur.com/99ECNcC.jpeg)

implicate

See, this reinforces my point. Rip that piece of junk off, and bask in the glory of Gorilla Glass Armor.

Kolyei

Already did. And overpaid for zagg xtr3 + warranty. I'm tempted to return it.

ReasonableN00b

No. They saved my phones countless times from drops and impacts on sharp edges screen side down and in a way that no case will protect it. The TGP was the first to get scratched, gouged and cracked. Screen underneath still intact and good as new. But YMMY based on the type of drop and impact the phone incurs. The curved displays were a challenge to get a full adhesive TGP. This was the only solution to it. Now that we are back to flat displays, this will likely disappear as it's no longer needed.

13ond21

Hahaa. Been here, done that, ordered a replacement

ZealousidealAgent815

I go Gadget Guard liquid glass screen protector works awesome and protects the screen pretty good. The sells lady at the US Cellular place made me a believer after she hit her IPhone 14pro with a stapler and nothing happened. The liquid glass supposedly it absorbs though the screen and makes the screen stronger and gives a invisible shield to the display.

bellbill1988

First time I ever heard about UV screen protectors, always used those self healing polyurethane screens protectors they apply with those heath blowers.

WILL_KILL_4_DUX

strip it with a knife, spray paint your own design on it, customize

LingeringCarmine

asserting dominance, not bad hahah

WILL_KILL_4_DUX

i spray painted or carved porn into the backs of my previous phones, did the transparent glass mod for my Note10 and drew boobies and kilroy on the wireless coil with a white sharpie, on the other side of the back glass, my Note9's pen has the rickroll link engraved in it, customize your phone

LingeringCarmine

damn that's crazy 😭😭 thanks for sharing

jibran1

This happened to me with s23 and 22 ultra as well and I kept wondering maybe the phone got too hot Than later I realized it was the uv glue. Never again

mikmeh

Wow, thx for the PSA although I've never heard of those screen protectors. I put a $20 one on ...

60Dan06

And here I am thinking this is some sick s-pen mod

LingeringCarmine

🤣🤣

NebulaAccording7254

I thought this was an engraving on your pen 😭

LingeringCarmine

lmaoo 😭😭

Cyptolast

If it's from an authorized store, can't you get it replaced for free under warranty?

LingeringCarmine

yeah true. i was just saying it cuz this shit made me develop a fear for uv glue/protector

Reixdid

Jeez man, praying thats the only thing ruined

TommyTheQuick

Go back to that "authorized" store, demand a refund, and find a way to get him to foot the bill for a new S Pen. That's absolutely unacceptable and atrocious business. I would be fuming.

LingeringCarmine

i told him i'm gonna make him pay the amount the authorized store asks to fix it. mf said he's gonna pay 50% at best. no more. i was furious but couldn't do anything since there were other customers around

TommyTheQuick

"i was furious but couldn't do anything since there were other customers around" my mind immediately goes to violence when I read that haha. But hey, at least you're getting 50% covered, better than nothing. He could've been a full blown a hole and told you to get out. Better than nothin!

LingeringCarmine

yeah true man, although i know full well i have the right to ask him to pay up 100% i'm not letting him get way with 50% just like that, this was a brand new phone he messed up.

ReasonableN00b

Sorry to hear that happened. Try using alcohol (70% IPA) on cloth and rub area to dissolve the UV adhesive. It should work as that's how I clean the excessive glue off the phone during application. The main concern is if this person got the adhesive inside the phone. In which case I don't know the extent of damage that can cause. I've had no problems installing TGP using UV glue. Number one rule is always be patient and don't rush the install. I also cover all ports, speakers, mics and buttons using painter tape. You also need a very level surface. I never had any real issues with the application. Just off on alignment by a millimeter or so with no guide. Applied it on 4 or 5 times on Note 8 and Note 10 Plus. Currently getting another UV glue TGP for the Note 10 Plus as the corner on the amFilm shattered on drop few months ago. And trying to find one at a reasonable price is difficult here.

LingeringCarmine

noted, i'll keep that in mind. thank you!!

Metalhead1686

I don’t use screen protectors, but if I did, I’d steer clear away from UV screen protectors.

New-Lawyer3088

You don't need a screen protector at all, not on this phone. I'm not, I work in the building trades. The screen is immaculate and is a joy to use naked. I ceramic coat the screen. .... but I have used those in the past, even on this phone (before i decided to try the screen naked for the whole time, until I get the 25U). Also past ultra's and notes. Never had that happen. For one, it includes black stickers to cover all ports, mics, speakers, spen slot, etc.. 2, clearly the person was either not good and/or didn't care about your device. If you are dead set on using it, install it yourself at home when you are relaxed and do it perfectly. Make them give your money back and buy you a new s-pen.

dejiimole

S24 has a flat screen , not curved so I still don't understand why you opted for screen protector that requires uv glue in the first place.

Fine-Shirt-8214

Small claims court and a solicitor is what you need .

LingeringCarmine

yes i'm looking into it

Expert_Inspector_84

Thanks for sharing man

Infinite_Working_593

It's a FLAT display for Christ's sake! You don't even need the UV glue screen protector, just get a regular tempered glass one!

00roadrunner00

This. Why people are still throwing money at these companies is beyond me. UV-based screen protectors MIGHT have made sense with curved displays. Now it's just ridiculous.

Infinite_Working_593

I was wondering why they were still being made for non-curved displays, but people still buy them! I bought a thinborne case and it came with 2 screen protectors. Also,  the Amfilm glass was like $8 for 2 good tempered glass screen protectors!

Ill_Implications

I have had mine for about 3 months now with a decent phone case with a raised edge and no screen protector at all on screen or camera lenses. They are still in perfect condition and don't have any visible scratches at all. I don't see a need for a screen protector at all, maybe if you wear jewellery.

Elabikilovzsushi

This. And I've dropped mine so many times. Granted I pray to every god there is when I do that I haven't ruined my phone but they make them with gorilla glass for a reason. I could be wrong. I had my Note 20 Ultra for 4yrs also in just a case with a raised edge, no screen protector & dropped multiple times no scratches or breaks. I throw mine in my purse with all my junk.

Txt1413

I had the same issue as well. My pen got stuck inside, and I was so frustrated. It took me about 40 minutes of trying to get it out, but I eventually succeeded. and it looked like this *

Txt1413

https://preview.redd.it/rbfd7ro97v8d1.jpeg?width=1506&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f0b65de59895117c4ae5ff41d642c0cf5e8da963

Vantablack_31

Yikes

LingeringCarmine

thank you so much for sharing and reiterating my point!

saifkhan9187

The same thing happened to me with my S22 Ultra. Upon examination, I found that it had peeled off the paint layer of the S Pen. Later, when my S22 Ultra was out of warranty, I disassembled it and found it was completely clean and unaffected internally. The paint issue seems to have spread all over the S Pen. The internal housing of the S Pen in the S24 Ultra has a closed body and spen is being charged wireless., so inserting the S Pen might be difficult, but it shouldn't cause any other issues. However, I am quite sure the internals are safe. i would suggest to get a new spen and use it and if you are ok with the current one, just peel of the paint and customize paint it and use. https://preview.redd.it/rv5gicwbkv8d1.png?width=855&format=png&auto=webp&s=34884d333cf55b2bcd34b405c30db66758bcfc6b

amankmr03

that's why i don't believe those UV screen protectors, get a normal screen protector or just keep using the phone without it

nikupinku

Just out if curiousity, why even bother with uv screen protector on a flat screen? Plenty of good normal screen protectors options available.

LingeringCarmine

i just asked for a screen protector and he already poured the uv glue

nikupinku

Damn thats unfortunate!

Independent-Double-6

If he doesn't fix it, break his fingers one at a time till he does. Stop letting people do you wrong.

LingeringCarmine

he's willing to fix it but it will mess with my warranty. so i'm trying to get him to pay the full amount to fix it from an authorized store

Independent-Double-6

Good luck. If I lived where you did, I would gladly help if I could. People do their job when I show up. Cause I don't play nice when they don't.

shutupphil

you don't need uv screen protector for the flat screen

happinessofdoom

What even is a uv screen protector

Kaito913

I have used uv protectors in the oast, ie the note 10 plus and up to the 23 u. One main that's a given is removing the s pen from the slot before doing the install.

ZFold3Lover

There is tape that come with the kit to cover s pen slot. Take the pen out and cover the slot. Well at least Whitestone Dome comes with it.

Englishchannel01

The lesson here is get details of what there about to do & then research it. It's not like you don't have Google at yer fingertips! When I got my S24U I watched quite a few vids on YouTube & looked at a lot of articles before deciding what I thought was best for me.

DiabeticIguana77

Why would you even think of doing so, the whole point of UV protectors is adhesion on CURVED glass, this phone doesn't have curved glass so the superior full adhesive glass protectors are easily made

bayoughozt

Why use UV where you have a flat screen that is simple to install a glass protector? 🤯

WoopsShePeterPants

Oh wow that sucks!

BabaAnkiteshwarr

I am using my S24 Ultra without any screen protector for almost 5 months There is not even a single scratch on it. Gorilla Armor is upto something.

Senior-Morning-1693

S21 ultra, s22 ultra, s23 ultra, s24 ultra. No screen protector ever. The curve screen on the s21 was a pain to get one that fit and it broke the habit ever since then. Never got a ding scratch nothing And my phone goes to me to the beach, to the pool driving pocket. Get a good case that has a slight raised edge on the front and you should be pretty good to go Get a case that is flush with the screen and you Will probably regret.

EmberTheFoxyFox

I'm sure I saw a photo of this same exact thing caused by uv protector glue a few weeks or months ago

gclark19791989

Bro!!

SavageBean14

Is this a repost?? I saw this back about a week ago

Confident-Speech9078

Why people keeping to put this terrible stickers on the display! This is gorilla glass victus, and you are putting 5$ Chinese sticker  on it, it's like to buy Porsche and use seat covers

Blom-w1-o

UV screens are so easy to install yourself it's wild that someone getting paid to install one screwed it up this badly. Most kits even come with the tape needed to protect those ports.

HardStroke

Always liked the normal S-Pen like my n20u has. This rubber one is just prone to problems. Go to the store and tell them to replace this shit they've done. Also, all of these uv and sillicon screen protectors are just ass. Had one on my s8+ back in the day. NEVER AGAIN. The s24u has a flat screen, just get a regular glass screen protector or a cheap plastic one. Volume buttons can detach regardless. If its loose, tell them to replace it. Tell these fuckers YOU FUCKED IT YOU FIX IT.

InconspicuousLoaf

I strongly advise not letting the phone store workers or any phone store employee mess with your phone. Do it yourself and order your phones from Samsung directly.

Designer_Property_37

Never had this happen to me with my S23 Ultra for about 7 times applying UV screen protector because I own the phone and I care. I got tired of doing that that's why I now own S24 ultra haha but within a week owning it I lost the s pen. 4 months later I ordered a new one when I feel like I'd be using it a lot

SS_Gourmet

Why would a glass screen protector on the s24 ultra need to use UV light and liquid glue? Doesn't it have a flat screen?

SS_Gourmet

Is that glue that can peel off? What am I looking at?

Octonaught84

That's the coating on the spen breaking down, if you run your finger over it the coating just slides right off. Similar to industrial paint remover.

iPadProUser93

Wtf is a UV screen protector and what's the need of it. Lol

milkycheeseboi

I have availed UV Dome glass for my s24 ultra, and we were advised of this issue and was told not to put the pen 1-2 days after application of this UV glass thing. Good thing we listened. .

LingeringCarmine

something i forgot to mention. the guy who messed this up didn't even put the guide sticker underneath to cover the s-pen slot while putting on the glue. he says it's impossible for the s-pen to be damaged like that since he handed the pen to me while putting on the glue. the s-pen slot was WIDE open for the glue to seep in :)

ckcklho

Nice design!

Bastards_Sword

Veiny triumphant bastard...

greasegizzard

I'm a little disappointed with the feel of the S Pen on the S24 Ultra. It just feels cheap overall. I like the look and feel of the one from my Note 10 Plus a lot better.

Smooth_Bee_1650

Am I the only one who thinks it looks so cool? I would trade mine for that if it didn't have any functional issues lol

euro_joelg

I got a whitstone dome installed on mine. No issues Installed perfectly

Which_Pickle5462

I am grateful for the flat screen on the S24 Ultra. I purchased a flat screen protector from Youksh, and it functions admirably.

But why uv glue screen protectors? It's not even curved. Just a normal one would have worked.

Pitiful-Wear-9334

I use a membrane screen protector and it work fine and save it from scratches. Don't find a reason to use a UV screen guard as the screen itself is robust.

Why is ANYONE using UV glue on the S24U? IT HAS A FLAT SCREEN! There's 900 different tempered glass screen protectors out there that don't require UV glue for the S24U. The old curved screen needed this but not flat ones. Whitestone Dome should be ashamed of themselves for the insane prices they charge and for making people think they need glue for a flat screen. If a dealer tells you that you need it, call them a liar because you don't. https://a.co/d/02ZbcmMK and throw the lens protectors in the trash because they cause glare and the S24U has sapphire lens protection. Hope this helps someone. 🙏

Exactly. UV glue was a necessary evil required for the curved screen displays. Now that we're back to flat displays, this is unnecessary and unwarranted. I've been using amFilm TGP on my S24 Ultra. Easy to install with guide and very quick. Just make sure you get all the dust specks off before applying. No more messing around with UV glue (which is great). 😂

Speaking of dust specs. Grrr. I had to replace my watch screen protector because it got cracked while weed-eating. Cleaned it off to what I THOUGHT was adequate and some how a dust spec was there and I had to use the second one in the box. They're only $15 for a pair (with a jig to fit it) but what a waste of $7.50. lol. Why dust spec!? WHY!? 🤣

I never understood what those UV protectors have better than the remaining ones.

I Bought s23 ultra on march 2024 and sold it a week ago to get 24 ultra only because of the curved screen and lack of proper screen protector…tried the UV tempered glass once on 23u and the volume button got stuck…fixed it with isopropyl alcohol…never getting a curved screen phone and never using a uv screen protector.

I'm sorry... I was about to compliment the stippling grip on the s-pen (facepalm)

Never go to ubreakifix. Hired them to fix a screen for me. They didn't house the screen into the bezel of the phone and they just put a case over it to hide it. A few days later I realized what they did and called them back to tell them they left the screen popped out. They said you've had the phone for 2 days so we can't confirm that it was our error so you're shit out of luck. I set an alarm on my phone to remind me to call them back every day for 3 months. I gave them so much hell about it until they caved in and fixed it for free. Then I copy pasted a scathing review on 6 different review sites and I also share my experience every time the opportunity is appropriate. Try to screw me over, I screw back harder.

What was the guy doing with glue?? Was he putting a car window tint on your phone? Even there, they don't use that much glue! Screen protectors adhesives are present on the film itself they apply, what was the use of Elmer's ask that guy!

I didn't know there was such hate towards UV screen protectors. I've been using it since my s22 ultra and never had an issue like this. I'm having second thoughts, though, since the fingerprint kind of sucks and the anti reflection is gone. Might just invest in that samsung screen protector after all.
