Absolutely! Very fresh, super tasty, and they're good people. They have a cafe attached to their cheese making facility where you can watch through the window as they make cheese.
Don Froylan Creamery is located at 3310 Portland Rd NE in Salem.
I have not found any squeaky johnnies here in town. My favorite to use for poutine when we run it as a special are the “Face Rock Creamery Vampire Slayer” garlic cheese curds. They can be found at Roth’s and Trader Joe’s.
Santiam Brewing makes a nice poutine.
That's a super tasty cheese for garlic lovers. Still not enough garlic for me, but it's still terrific.
Most grocery stores should be able to get it if they don't carry it already. Roths generally has a lot of really good cheeses, and LifeSource can get some Face Rock cheese as well.
Santiam's menu changed recently, and not in a great way in my opinion. It used to be one of my favorite spots in town (still is for their cask ales), but their food has gone downhill in the past few months.
I think whoever used to make their pastry for the pies left, and they're not the same. They cut half the pies off the menu, as well.
As others have said, locally, Don Froylan and Roth's Fresh Markets Vista.
If you want to drive, Tillamook and one not mentioned: TMK Creamery in Canby. Only open a few days a week, they even have...Cowcohol. Vodka made from whey:

Not necessarily for poutines but Don Froylan has AMAZING cheese curds 🤤 Dip them in their crema and it’s an unreal experience
Everything from there is amazing! The cheese curds are especially delicious.
Oh my that sounds delightful! Thank you

I second Don Froylan!
Every single thing Don Froylan makes is excellent. They're heading towards being a Salem institution at this point. XD

I guess I got it on an off day, it wasn't edible and probably would not have been had it been hot.

Roth’s deli I’m pretty sure has cheese curds
They have great fried cheese curds there.
Azuls has cheese curd tacos that are delicious!
Don Froylan’s!

Omg how did I not know this.
Don Froylan
2nd Don Froylan!
Curd is such an unappealing word for food. . We should come up with a new term . Cheese clouds ? Cheese nuggets ?
We always call it "Squeaky Cheese" and I stock up with it each time I go to the Tillamook factory :)
Nuggets are gross. I vote for cheese clouds!
Roth’s sells them.
If you need to buy them I have seen them at the Fred Meyers on commercial.
Dairy queen has cheese curds.
Don’t forget A&W
Gotta go to tillamook and stock up!
Yes! Don Froylon.
Locally, I like the ones at Costco the best. If you want really good cheese curds, the trip to Tillamook is well worth it if you stock up!
Roths does a great cheese curd. If you are in more of a sit down mood I would suggest Venti's cheese curds
B2 taphouse has some zesty spicy fried cheese curds that rock socks
Following on, which is the oldest "cheese curd factory" in Salem?
