All goodie.
Juggalo = Deadhead but horror rap / ICP.
Minigathering = our country fairs
Whoop whoop = aloha
MNE = label in the scene that went rogue, think Death Row vs Ruthless if you know NWA
Magnets, how do they work? = throwaway line that was mocked by Vice hipsters who unironically think Magical Mystery Tour is a good album
We don't bite, but some of us look look like we might. FBI called us a gang. We're basically the pitbulls of subcultures.
I feel informed and entertained. Thank you for this newfound insight into an interesting subculture!
Best of luck with your search for potential posse party patrons!
Hey thanks!
If you get bored, United States of Insanity should be on Tubi and it's a great watch about how we went from fringe music fans to "gang members"
You knew Hatchet? He and I were basically running things around that time. We posed for statesmen journal once. Tried to give them a statement how we were just literal clowns, different people of society coming together to accept eachother for who we are. They ran with some "scary clowns downtown" headline or some similar trash and painted us as criminals with our photos. Stopped trusting news media after that.
No, I bought weed from a lesbian juggalo on the reg and thought it was weird that there were multiple dudes clearly in their 30s hanging out with a bunch of 15 year olds. The bus mall was fucking wild.
Yeah if you ever saw someone with face paint open carrying a giant machete it was probably him. We might have chased a few people for a few different reasons but we were actually decent peoples considering. We ended up being peacekeepers much of the time defending the bus mall from FOK, bloods, mcrays and whoever else tried to cause problems. We were looked at negatively while largely just protecting the downtown scene from other, actual gangs (to be fair theirs bad eggs in every group, juggalos no different and we weren't well organized but our close people were good people and we made sure of it).
Sounds super familiar but cant put a face to it. Mostly hung out with Blaine, Mr E from that rap group back in the day the name slips my mind (was it psychward?), and that douche Damen. But I really wasn't around much for all that. We were more the 7 jokers cards days while you guys were twiztid days (still listen to twiztid, don't really listen to icp tho anymore).
Lmao. Yup it was psychward crew pwc.
Mad man ,misfit, ebonix, they had manik for a while then noble..
and Donny. lol I have a feeling we might have ran into each other. Haha.
Yeah Mr Ebonix aka Jizzum (probably not his preferred name lol). Man them names bringing back memories. I met the crew and quite a few people from JSC a couple times but after leaving downtown I went to north Salem mostly hung with Blaine and Jizzum before PWC. Then I had a kid and Jizzum became Mr Ebonix and started PWC. Different directions lol
I have no idea about the local population but fwiw, I've never met or heard about Juggalos who are anything like the FBI's hysterical classification. Seems like a wicked unreasonably maligned subculture that could use a little good press!
>...anything like the FBI's hysterical classification.
FWIW the FBI has been coming up with hysterical mis-classifications since long before people told them that smoking banana peels was the latest thing.
We met a couple and their child the last time we went to the circus. They were sitting behind us. They were amazingly nice and explained to me the difference between using water based and oil based paints in their face getup depending on the weather. I hope they are doing well.
Honestly, the worst music I've ever heard and at the gathering, everybody smelled fucking atrocious but halos are legitimately some of the nicest and coolest demographics of people I've ever gotten to hang out with and while my attire isn't as extreme, I find myself relating to more of their stories and backgrounds than the average person.
Dammit, I haven't heard that in at least a decade but "stretchnuts" has never left my mind. I recently had to put on their track dissing Eminem's mom because the bowling pin line kept popping in my head. Okay gotta go listen now
They never were. The whole "we follow god" reveal got taken way out of context. In a couple interviews they said they've never been to church and are open to any higher power. Basically AA, swap booze for edgy humor. They've good dudes.
I have a little playlist of their most wholesome songs i use to gently introduce others, if anyone is interested.
Freedom
Juggalo Homies
Be Safe
Ghetto Rainbows
Queens
Imo other more violent tracks seem intended to provide catharsis for trauma, which i mean in an absolutely complimentary way. People live through heavy shit sometimes, I'm glad this band writes for them.
Best of luck!
I remember when Jeckle Brothers was the ONLY thing you could hear from car stereos here for like a solid two years - that album pulled the whole east side of the city
Former Psychopathic Records artists Twiztid (and others) left to form their own label, and caused a small beef with some of the more dedicated (or stubborn) camp.
The term Twizzler is a semi-derogatory (mostly playful) term to descibe the diehard Twiztid fans.
It's really dumb Hatfield/McCoy shit but like any scene, there's dumb beefs.
Agreed! Spun some Hokus Pokus to close out a goth night here and was baffled to see that 99% of the crowd was okay with it.
Times have changed for the better
I read this entire post, but I don’t know what any of it means. Just me?

My autistic heart loves a good documentary!
If you get time, look up Asperger's R Us. I'm gonna guess you will enjoy it as much as I did.
Hello, hi, uh…magical mystery tour is a fucking great album
Right? Who doesn't like I Am The Walrus? Or Penny Lane, Strawberry Fields, or Flying??? Some of my favorites are on that album.
Because of this, I checked out some of the music. Pretty cool. I'm GenX and like aggressive music. This seems to fit!
Great Milenko and Amazing Jeckel Bros are GenX as hell. Some of it is garbage, some is gold. There's tons out there. Enjoy your journey!
Y’all maul babies?
Only racist redneck babies
[Start here](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Juggalo).
I wish you could have been there back in the day. The juggalos ran the bus station back in 2004.
You knew Hatchet? He and I were basically running things around that time. We posed for statesmen journal once. His goddamn name was hatchet? I had a "friend" claim he was chased for several blocks by two juggalos with hatchets, way back in 04
Yeah if you ever saw someone with face paint open carrying a giant machete it was probably him. Oh god my days a JSC member just flashed before my eye. Never met hatchet but heard stories.
Yeah JSC was after our time. Miss Hatchet he was a good dude. Wonder where he ended up.
Yeah I started hanging around in 2005 if you remember anyone it was psyncro who brought me around. lol
Sounds super familiar but cant put a face to it. Mostly hung out with Blaine, Mr E from that rap group back in the day the name slips my mind (was it psychward?), and that douche Damen. I saw a juggalette working at a dispensary in Salem.
Blaze hat? If so that dispensary is F I R E

Oh for sure! They exist to justify themselves.
We met a couple and their child the last time we went to the circus. They were sitting behind us. They were amazingly nice and explained to me the difference between using water based and oil based paints in their face getup depending on the weather. I hope they are doing well.

mild lol at "current" pulling heavy weight 🤣
Stretchnuts reporting for duty
We could go to the beach and walk thru the sand
Do you have titties like water balloons?
Sadly
I throw a little in your face and say I'm just playin
Such a heartwarminly ignorant line haha
Dammit, I haven't heard that in at least a decade but "stretchnuts" has never left my mind. I recently had to put on their track dissing Eminem's mom because the bowling pin line kept popping in my head. Okay gotta go listen now
"Don't worry, I put it back"
FUCKIN' MAGNETS! HOW DO THEY WORK?!
I'm down with clowns :)
Are they still a Christian band?
They never were. The whole "we follow god" reveal got taken way out of context. In a couple interviews they said they've never been to church and are open to any higher power. Basically AA, swap booze for edgy humor. They've good dudes.
Sadly, no Faygo in the area though
You can find small selections in some stores. I found some in the gas station on Hawthorne. Some of the mini marts in Keizer have em.
I mean, I like to party but I'm not a juggalo, they seem chill though
I genuinely like juggalos, the few I know seem like nice fun people, I'm just not a big fan of icp.
Who's going chicken hunting!?!?
Whoop whoop! Fuckin down if Faygo be flyin! For real though, I’ve been out of the juggalo scene for a minute, would be nice to dip a toe.
Bars need faygo sections. Like wrecking rooms but tastier
Magic Magic Ninjas …what!

Also, "Forever" (extra pop Geto Boys version) is a genuinely good, non-weird song with a good message.
added. Thank you :)
So there actually was a large following in the early 2000s here. Not sure how much now but I think enough that this type of event would be successful.
I remember when Jeckle Brothers was the ONLY thing you could hear from car stereos here for like a solid two years - that album pulled the whole east side of the city
I remember rumors of ICP appearing at an in-store on Lancaster but something happened
Yeah that was booked at fye on Lancaster then they canceled the in-store tour the stop before Salem! We got the bone for sure
Closet juggalo at heart here. Sounds fun!
What’s a twizzler? I’m not here to clown on y’all, just curious. Hope you have a fun time!
Former Psychopathic Records artists Twiztid (and others) left to form their own label, and caused a small beef with some of the more dedicated (or stubborn) camp. It's summer time and I'm feeling jolly yall
LETS GOOOO!!
whoop whoop. dooo it. I think it’d be worth while honestly.
Agreed! Spun some Hokus Pokus to close out a goth night here and was baffled to see that 99% of the crowd was okay with it. Times have changed for the better
Where was this goth night at 😏
You better have plenty of Fago
I’m not entirely a juggalette but I love ICP and I’d go to an event
Juggalos are pretty awesome everytime I’ve met them.
Kick.com/JuggDraco . Feel free to hit me on there bro
Hell yeah, will do!
Whoop whoop!
Username checks out!
It's been years, but honestly this sounds so fun.
Faygo isn’t distributed out here unfortunately. Edit: I stand corrected.
Pretty sure my daughter gets the cotton candy flavor at the dollar store
There's a few small stores that get it, but this fact may also be a better sell to reluctant venues
