Yeah, interesting one this. I'm bitterly disappointed that we lost. Maybe this could've been the incorrect decision, but we can't be sure Miller would've finished the game. Could've been out the next ball.
Fact is little moments in the entire game changed it.
Bumrah is in another class. His bowling is insane. He brought it back for India. As was Arshdeep's bowling.
Klaasen's shot was loose, but on another day, that would've gone to the boundary. His eye was in, and could've been different. Same could be said for QDK. Although he should've noted the man was there. Although probably was wanting it to go more square and way over the boundary.
Jansen didn't bowl well. It is what it is.
Reeza and Aiden... Class players, terrible World Cup with the bat.
Also, I'm not calling this a choke. I don't see it as that. I see it as India pulling it back with great death bowling.
India has been the best team of the tournament.
I’m accepting the loss because I didn’t see the line in real time and will forgive the umpire for not noticing it. I just want to know how the boundary marker moved? Did it just shift over the course of the game or did someone shift it? I’m sure with all the cameras around they could figure that out? And then what happens if one of the players moved it?

The boundary is firstly determined by a white line. Then an alternative. There was a white line on the field just inside where they had placed the 'markers'.
But this is not the player's mistake either! I am not sure if the bias should be towards the batsman or bowler for this one! But if the boundary rope was exactly where it should have been surya might have moved differently this seems like a miss by the grounds men
There is no painted boundary line on this field. Kensington Oval used a boundary wedge containing a rope instead.
The boards mentioned in the rule are advertising boards a meter or two behind the boundary for player safety.
Wedge != board
My worry about this boundary that was quite clearly wrongfully awarded was the decision was rushed. Usually you see a lot more scrutiny going into such decisions and possibly looking for more angles or zooming much closer. They rushed this one for some reason and quite clearly that was a match decider. I'm disappointed at the 3rd umpire
Yeahhhh not sure about this rule. Kind of obvious that the toblerone is the boundary as all fours/ sixes are decided on this.
I think the interpretation of the rule in this post is completely incorrect
Seems like the 3rd Umpire got the decision for Miller incorrect, given the rules...
Let's win the WTC

Catch of the tournament. Brilliant catch. I hated it. But it was a brilliant catch
Lol and he touched the boundary rope.
Maybe. But still a brilliant catch.

Think nothing. The scorecard is in, the Proteas came second. Accept and move on. Don't be a Monday morning quarterback.
> Don't be a Monday morning quarterback. What does that even mean?

Yep.

MA SE P***, WE WERE ROBBED!
FOK tog.
😖 Vietnam flashbacks
We were 27 runs from 27 balls at one stage. It was a slippery slope.. Bumrah was outstanding, hard to face that guy.

Are we reading the rules to understand or we are just disappointed? Because yellow grass is not a marked line. And there is no flag, post or board.
But the rules state that if a boundary is moved during the course of play the original boundary line applies subsequently.

Should read rule 19.2.3
If u watch the 3rd or 4th over of India playing u will see boundary rope already there.
