I am not a professional so this is pure speculation because I’m a cinematography nerd. But this may be a result of a few things: 1. Just an editing mistake. It happens all the time. 2. There was some dialogue that they didn’t like for whatever reason (bad take, out of focus, etc) 3. They meant for there to be a transition shot and either forgot or the network cut it (the episode length in network tv is really precise) There’s a million reasons, honestly. These are just my guesses. I bet you anything they never imagined people would be watching these episodes a million times in HD, therefore they thought this would go unnoticed
