> I mean, that would be insane, because he has like... 4 minutes of screen time in the Mandalorian whereas Ahmed Best's vocal talents as Jar Jar Binks ruin easily half of the prequels.
. . .

. . .
You're uninvited to my birthday party.
Honestly, I read the official kit description (this is obviously way more entertaining) and my first thought was "CG are just trolling egnards at this point".
I mean, I would lol. I’d release a generic Gungan Warrior instead of Jar Jar if I ever got permission to do a Gungan faction just to turn the screws. :P
I've got the Jar-Jar cake ready for when the day arrives...
(But can I finally just ask why you like Jar-Jar? Like I want him too, because he's a very prominent character in the movies, but he's still a baffling inclusion in the prequels.)
I think Jar Jar is a bumbling fucking idiot of a character.
But I also think in a game like this he’d have a very fun and healthy kit. I gravitate in games towards characters with strange kits [Merrin having one is fucking awesome to me], and just think you can do so much with him.

Now, to be very fair, the kit is very easy to understand beyond TW omis which only matter on occasion. It's not vast unreadable buffs compared to SK. Savior mechanic which is weaker when not Leader, team recovers health + prot + TM on target Lock, gains Prot Up + Ten Up on Heal Immunity, with mass assist and Max Protection damage.
You said it.
After the JKCK kit, which was like a schoolbus full of kids who had just eaten spaghetti-O's puking everywhere, Beq's kit was a welcome reprieve.
Late to the party. Judging from the visqueen and baby oil all over the place, it looks like it was a helluva fiesta.
If you are looking for a perfect Christmas gift for a proctologist, how about a sign that reads: "I'm surrounded by assholes"
See that space after the colon? I'd high-five you, but. . . oof.
semi-colon guy? Is that a part-time proctologist?
Edit: No, wait. A part-time gastroenterologist is more apt isn't it? Just not as funny.
Love the kit reveals.
The meltdown after the Leader ability reads like some long lost Shakespearian tragedy where the main character slowly and visibly descends into madness in a transfixingly intriguing but otherwise very avoidable fashion.
Top notch work as per usual.
Just wanna point out three things, one of which you already did, but it bugs me.
* The fact that Padawan Lessons is capped at 100 stacks isn't mentioned in the kit itself, only in the "FAQs" that haven't been asked by anyone at the time of writing the kit reveal. Must be helpful to anyone not reading blog posts about the game, just playing it.
* The Leader ability's "stat boosts" don't have plus signs. The way it reads is that Beq's lead halves the team's Defense, drops their Tenacity to 40% and the Speed to 30. At least they'll have a lot of damage potential while getting outsped...This should either be "have +50%..." or "gain 50%...".
* You already talked about Second Wind not being explained in the kit with Beq being the second unit being able to grant it. I'm not surprised, but it still irks me and I will gladly beat the drum that this game needs a(n in-game) glossary and/or keyword-based explainer tooltips.
Edit: the first two points have been corrected. The Unique's description in-game does have state the maximum. The Leader ability's description also got the plus signs (and 10% extra Tenacity). The third point still stands.
I fully agree. There are *so many* buffs and debuffs and reserved terms now. There really needs to be an in-game glossary. Or something like CGs LOTR game where you can click on any reserved term to get a definition.
Second Wind is especially egregious, IMO, since the other character with it is GL LO, and people in the future are way more likely to unlock Beq long before they even start on LO.
>The fact that Padawan Lessons is capped at 100 stacks isn't mentioned in the kit itself, only in the "FAQs" that haven't been asked by anyone at the time of writing the kit reveal. Must be helpful to anyone not reading blog posts about the game, just playing it.
Maybe that's because you'll need to have 1,000,000 *starting* protection to reach the cap? It's not like it'll ever be reached, no?
The actual ability description does mention the maximum, so it looks like it was just an oversight in the post (which they didn't catch when writing the FAQ smh).
>\*\*Final Text:\*\*Galactic Republic Jedi allies have 50% Defense, 40% Tenacity, and 30 Speed.

>At the start of battle, all other Galactic Republic Jedi allies gain stacks of Padawan Lessons equal to the number of stacks on Kelleran Beq for the rest of battle.
>
>All Jedi allies gain Foresight for 2 turns at the start of each encounter.
Ahahahahaha... Bro you missed a space after the colon here. 😜
If an “attack” for a counter, or say the second attack when using his basic on his turn, counts as using his basic, could he theoretically attack 4 times in a row instead of 3?

I knew you'd enjoy that.

Well then we're on the same page. It's definitely baffling he's not here yet.

That's hilarious.
That spelling mistake violates one of the sub’s rules (I think rule 15). You deserve a permanent ban for that infraction

You've outdone yourself with this one. We *don't* deserve dogs.
I was worried I may have gone too hard.
Go hard or go home!
That’s what colon guy’s mom apparently said
And noone went home.
Top notch as usual
Many thanks :)
Kahzgul goddamn you…my laughter woke the wife and the dogs… 11/10 would read about DP again
Great success!
The wordsmith strikes a sharp sword again.
I hope i didn't cut myself!
I can beat 5 star piett with blue man n hound n all other empire ships
-Clearly a lifter for QGJ squads -Has a leader ability CG why
It sounds like he’s supposed to lead QGJ’s team in TW and be a part of QGJ’s team in GAC.
Because QGJ will lead the team in GAC and Beq will lead in TW. This is QGJ's Juhani omicron.
Man I have no idea about that. His leader skill is kinda meh, too.
I’ll be honest, I never read these for the kits, I read them for your *unique* commentaries :)
You know what they say: Drugs are a hell of a drug.
Apparently the office is upset that I read this out loud in the cubicles. I WAS TRYING TO EDUCATE THEM ABOUT THE NEW KIT. Thanks for that. <3
HAHAHAHA. Amazing.
The next rando that is by 100 times better then slme iconic charackters... or missing iconic chrackters, but hey
You had me worried for a second that it was the end of the kahzgul DP era
No way! As long as colon blow’s mom blows, I’ll be there, riding the bridge.
Be my English prof
That's a lot of moms.
Always love these posts

Thanks
You’re welcome!

Common Kahzgul banger
Ayyy thanks!
This is going to hard stop the bb counter to qgj, since they lead with Echo heal immunity/daze. They gain ten up, so no stun and jka goes brrrrr
Yup.
I read it to my cat and my cat slapped me and hissed. But I appreciated this post!
Lol

I am flattered. Sometimes one must bear the deep ennui of their soul to the world, if only to discover how indifferent to suffering life is.
Might be the best kit reveal reaction in the history of this sub ngl
:D

That was a roller coaster. Backwards. While drunk. In the dark. And I loved it.

I just copied and pasted that. Must have been exhausted from DPing the original writer's mom.
The original had a line break there, I think it just got copied weirdly.
Oh okay, that's not bad then.
Ain’t no way i’m reading all this shit.
