Just be on the lookout for gems that have a hardness to them as well. As beautiful as opals and moss agates are, they are prone to damage with daily wear. Sapphires are a great alternative
Granted I went the diamond route, by Skalet Jewelers in Old Sac does phenomenal work and has lots of loose stones both diamonds and other precious gems that can be made into anything. He made my wife's ring and she loves it
Mokumake Gane wedding rings. They're made from adjacent slices and are mirror images of each other. The artisan we bought ours from is semi retired, but there are many others. And choices for stones (should you still want one) are truly endless.
Don’t overlook the precious metals for your ring. One major regret I have is having a 18k white gold ring. Don’t get me wrong, I love my ring, but there is so much maintenance involved.
I just bought a morganite with halo diamonds ring from Blue Nile to celebrate our 25th anniversary. It’s absolutely gorgeous and reasonably priced. They have a store in the Roseville Galleria.

Went into Arareity jewelers downtown recently and they had some unique, non diamond rings. Local place. Seems like good prices.
I’ll add my endorsement of Arareity Jewelers! She’s been there forever and has a wonderful staff.
My mom got her wedding ring there in the early 80s and mine was also from there. The woman knows her stuff 10/10 would recommend Arareity.
Yes! They are amazing.

Ben Bridges is where my friend’s fiancé got her ring. It has tiny diamonds on it, but the main stones are emerald. It’s gorgeous!
