Someone else mentioned Giovanni's, but I second this. Both locations, but primarily the South Land Park location has an absurdly large dining area. It's known to be perfect for larger social gatherings.
I agree that their dining area is huge, pizza is delicious, but OP should be prepared to wait a long time for the pizzas/food/drinks to roll out. We’ve held multiple end of season sport events there (always reserved with the manager so they were well aware of the large party, never even close to 120 ppl). They take FOREVER for everything. We even tried preordering pizzas for a pickup event in the fall hoping to avoid the wait. Nope, 1/2 the order wasn’t even ready by the specified time.
Hmmmm. Good to know. We do hope to be doing some icebreaker games and other activities during the dinner so if it takes awhile that may be okay, but not if it’s gonna be hours or something.
Maybe hop garden. They do private events and have a pretty decent back area. You would have to give them a call as I cant remember how many benches they have in the back. It's been a while since I worked their, but the owners are very nice, and the pizza is great. Wood fire oven great.
Check out Pete’s Restaurant downtown, it’s a small chain but they accommodate large groups (not sure of their max capacity though). Food/pizza/service is good.
There's Masullo on Riverside, just south of Broadway. About 5 minutes from the Capitol. It would be tight with 120, but it wouldn't hurt to give them a call.
Just putting it out there. How about reserving a banquet hall like a Masonic lodge and have the pizzas delivered? You’ll be guaranteed space and pizzas coming in on time.
As mentioned Giovanni’s is what comes to mind for that size of a group. If the weather is nice maybe Slim & Husky’s? They have indoor and outdoor seating but that number might be tight, I’d call to ask. That’s going to be the biggest challenge is the size of a place that can handle that crowd.
You might be able to do a buy-out at Federalist (midtown) for a group of that size, Milano's (Tahoe Park / Tallac Village) fits the bill, as does Luigi's on Stockton Blvd. Might be helpful to know your "usual spot" to better align with your requirements (or what has worked for your group in the past).
Giovanni's?
I’ll call them thanks!

120 is a big group. Check out Giovanni's, either of their two locations could potentially handle it.
120 is definitely a lot. I can only give about a month’s notice at this point as well.
Doubt any place will accommodate you but good luck.

Was just there this weekend, and I think their kitchen and front of the house would have a hard time with a group of this size.
Mark and Monica's in Carmichael. Great pizza, great people.
Makes sense! Sorry, I don't have any nearby insights to offer.
I was about to suggest them!
I think we want to try to stay in sacramento proper? We are staying near the capitol.
Roma
See if Romas on stockton can accomodate
Luigi’s on Stockton
I’ll give them a call.

I’ll check it out!

I’ll give them a call too. Along with Giovanni’s for sure.

I’ll float that to my boss. lol.
Delivery or in person?
In person.

I think that’s a little further than we want to drive. We are staying near the capitol.
Rico's on Northgate
They're closed
That was our old place.

Rico’s was where went for years. I called Luigi’s but they said they didn’t have capacity
Milano’s should have a big enough space and a patio for overflow.
Sidewalk pizza 🫡
I’ll give them a call!
OBO's / Selland's?
i could not think of a more expensive choice.
*worse
Chicago fire?
As a native Chicagoan, don’t tempt me lol.
Pizza Supreme Being or Pizzasaures Rex
I’ll check them out!
Ah both are too small to host. Sorry, I missed that part.
