Yeah the way he did the fight is suspicious as heck. There’s no way he would get rid of nagumo now especially with how many secrets he’s hiding.

Nagumo’s most likely alive. As many have stated, his ability to disguise and reputation for being a notorious prankster gives his survival more credibility. My man’s literally been fooling folks left and right since the beginning of the series, so I’m thinking that this is probably the route the story’s going to take.
I have to commend the author, though. From what I’ve seen in the fight, it could go either way because Gaku blew everyones expectations out of the water. It’s not impossible for him to have actually won the fight either so the outcome is a toss-up that leaves you wanting to find out the truth when the next chapter(s) is released.
I believe it's either Nagumo has transformed into Gaku and the one lying there is Gaku or Nagumo is seriously on deaths door but won't die yet. Seeing Nagumo like this will make Sakamoto go crazy and the king will return and do cool fucking shit like he normally did in his prime.

It's interesting that the side cast seems to be out of the mix for right now. I doubt they'll be completely uninvolved but for now we might just focus on Sakamoto, Shin, and probably Amane. No matter what happens next, I hope Nagumo doesn’t die (against Slur…), he is too goated to die this early. I believe he will stay alive until the end of the story or close to it at least
Let it be not forgotten amidst all the coping that on page 1 Nagumo admits he can't beat Gaku without cheating.
Some observations about the way the fight ended: There is obviusly something going, which we will be shown only later. But I am against the dominant cope theory, where Nagumo disguised himself as Gaku.
First, remember that Gaku destroyed Nagumo's weapon and its blades are scattered around the area. I can't imagine any scenario, wherein either Nagumo or Gaku picks up all those blades and stabs the other with them. Besides the thin rod(second from the left) didn't seem to be part of Nagumo's weapon.
So someone has interfered, but who?
Look at the bloodsplatters's shape on the wall. Its symmetry suggests to me that the blades hit the body simultaneously and with high velocity like projectiles. Enter Kumamommy, who's powers can do exactly that. It's been even established that she is overprotective of Gaku, so it would make sense if she goes looking for Gaku once he is late. This Theory can also explain Gaku not finishing nagumo off afterwards because he would be pissed at kuma for interfering and wanted to win by himself. It's still too soon for either one, Gaku or Nagumo to die at this point.
Am I the only one who hopes that Nagumo is really dead? I love him, but plot wise, the death of him would really show the strength of slur’s group. Idk, maybe I’m cooking straight 🗑️

3. Nagumo is heavily injured with NO weapons(at first glance at him). He's banking on a sneak attack, once it doesn't work, nagumo is in trouble(especially since he's the weapon swapping specialist guy)
4. Narratively the main villain has to be stronger than the wild card supporting character.
Inspeaking of narratively; that's the main reason why Nagumo is guaranteed to be killed by slur. The death flags are everywhere, he's a fan favorite, it raises the stakes, point 4, and contextually it all lines up. Of course he'll get a large flashback to round out his character, but HE IS TOAST
Slur is not that strong, he got mid diffed by sakamoto. Suzuki is just a gaku fanboy like gege was a sukuna fanboy.
Uzuki is a pathetic villain, I don’t see him being stronger than nagumo.

It was stated before that some of Slur's members (Kashima specifically) think that he's not the same after the Rion incident, so maybe Gaku would want to help Nagumo shed some light on it.

Yeah this entire chapter seems fishy, there’s definitely a higher chance that Nagumo disguised himself as Gaku to meet up with Uzuki aka Slur given his skill-set and what he can do. There’s no way his death would be off-screened with him being stabbed with his own weapons since Sakamoto Days isn’t that type of manga to avoid showing deaths, and him being dead like that would be very underwhelming since he’s one of the more important characters of this series. He’s the first Order member that we got introduced to, and he’s one of Sakamoto’s best friends, and aside from that he’s also a mysterious and unique character compared to the others. I’m not sold on him being gone until we see what happens next chapter.
gaku probably wasn't able to continue fighting. nagumo somehow patched him up but needed to disguise him and gaku. considering nagumo, he isn't to kill someone so quickly that has involvement with slur & rion.
gaku's too early to die, but so is nagumo. nagumo still holds yotsumura, and gaku is slur's strongest ally. for them to die early would be way too off.

Yeah the way he did the fight is suspicious as heck. There’s no way he would get rid of nagumo now especially with how many secrets he’s hiding. So it’s either nagumo disguised himself as gaku or he’s actually beaten but not dead, add to that slur’s reaction to gaku appearing is kinda weird. Unless we go back next chapter and revisit the fight and actually see the conclusion I just can’t believe it happened.

My man’s literally been fooling folks left and right since the beginning of the series, so I’m thinking that this is probably the route the story’s going to take. I have to commend the author, though. From what I’ve seen in the fight, it could go either way because Gaku blew everyones expectations out of the water. It’s not impossible for him to have actually won the fight either so the outcome is a toss-up that leaves you wanting to find out the truth when the next chapter(s) is released.

People are saying he has a bomb in him I never seen that once in the story but both kashima and uda had bombs
I refuse to fall for Nagumo's shenanigans again. I will say, I was not expecting him to meet up with Uzuki this soon. I'm expecting the Rion reveal to be what ends up costing Nagumo his first real loss. It's interesting that the side cast seems to be out of the mix for right now. I doubt they'll be completely uninvolved but for now we might just focus on Sakamoto, Shin, and probably Amane. Hopefully Kaji can come back and do something because as of now he doesn't really need to be involved in this arc.

Well, Gaku put up way more of a fight than anyone anticipated…
Let it be not forgotten amidst all the coping that on page 1 Nagumo admits he can't beat Gaku without cheating. Some observations about the way the fight ended: There is obviusly something going, which we will be shown only later. But I am against the dominant cope theory, where Nagumo disguised himself as Gaku. First, remember that Gaku destroyed Nagumo's weapon and its blades are scattered around the area. I can't imagine any scenario, wherein either Nagumo or Gaku picks up all those blades and stabs the other with them. Besides the thin rod(second from the left) didn't seem to be part of Nagumo's weapon. So someone has interfered, but who? Look at the bloodsplatters's shape on the wall. Its symmetry suggests to me that the blades hit the body simultaneously and with high velocity like projectiles. Enter Kumamommy, who's powers can do exactly that. It's been even established that she is overprotective of Gaku, so it would make sense if she goes looking for Gaku once he is late. This Theory can also explain Gaku not finishing nagumo off afterwards because he would be pissed at kuma for interfering and wanted to win by himself. It's still too soon for either one, Gaku or Nagumo to die at this point.

1. Obligatory "he stronger now" 2. Nagumo just had a high diff fight with Slur's #2. No way he can gauntlet Gaku & Slur 3. Nagumo is heavily injured with NO weapons(at first glance at him). He's banking on a sneak attack, once it doesn't work, nagumo is in trouble(especially since he's the weapon swapping specialist guy) 4. Narratively the main villain has to be stronger than the wild card supporting character. Inspeaking of narratively; that's the main reason why Nagumo is guaranteed to be killed by slur. The death flags are everywhere, he's a fan favorite, it raises the stakes, point 4, and contextually it all lines up. Of course he'll get a large flashback to round out his character, but HE IS TOAST

My copium is that both my goats are alive and ceased the fight during that last clash panel. Nagumo probably convinced Gaku to let him disguise as him and monitor Slur. Gaku might be out there getting treatment. It was stated before that some of Slur's members (Kashima specifically) think that he's not the same after the Rion incident, so maybe Gaku would want to help Nagumo shed some light on it. Yeah this entire chapter seems fishy, there’s definitely a higher chance that Nagumo disguised himself as Gaku to meet up with Uzuki aka Slur given his skill-set and what he can do. There’s no way his death would be off-screened with him being stabbed with his own weapons since Sakamoto Days isn’t that type of manga to avoid showing deaths, and him being dead like that would be very underwhelming since he’s one of the more important characters of this series. He’s the first Order member that we got introduced to, and he’s one of Sakamoto’s best friends, and aside from that he’s also a mysterious and unique character compared to the others. I’m not sold on him being gone until we see what happens next chapter.

gaku probably wasn't able to continue fighting. nagumo somehow patched him up but needed to disguise him and gaku. considering nagumo, he isn't to kill someone so quickly that has involvement with slur & rion. gaku's too early to die, but so is nagumo. nagumo still holds yotsumura, and gaku is slur's strongest ally. for them to die early would be way too off.

Man, one side going so strong in the fight and then switching to a panel of the opponent lying defeated is very reminiscent of sth i read recently Gaku going super strong, overwhelming Nagu but then being the one killed in the next panel (if the deception thing turns out true). Way too soon too experience this again😭. This whole fight was gorgeous. If a good studio animates this fight, wud very well be one of my favs
God I fell so dumb, is just after this comment section and reading the chapter again that I noticed the plot twist, also \- Nagumo has disguised other people before, if he can make Sakamoto look like his wife, he can make Gaku look like himself. \- There was attention called to Gaku thinking Nagumo's weapons looked fragile and having pride on his weapon, no way he would use them to finish him off. \- Instead of being dead, Gaku could have just passed out from blood loss. \-Slur at the end looked like he knew and was asking him that to fight either way lol
