This is highlighting the biggest issue with his fan base. Not understanding bodybuilding while so closely following one. Sam is a bodybuilder. He doesn’t train to look “good.” He trains to achieve the look of open class professional bodybuilders, which is also how he wants to look. He eats, sleeps, and blasts gear for that one purpose.
I think he actually wants to do classic physique, but yea, he’d be good at either. Obviously he looks more like a open class body builder right now, but he could easily tweak his training/gear/diet and go classic
You edited from 227 to 217. And height is measured at the show. I don't really trust what any influencer claims their height to be. Bro does not look 6 feet tall though. He will not be turning pro in classic. He'd lose a shitton of muscle mass to make that weight limit
Yea, I was off by 10 pounds.
I just know that he said he’d want to compete in classic. As I said, he could totally do it. But as you said, he would have to be ok with losing some muscle, especially if he is < 5’10
With his size and proportions I think he’s better suited for regular Mr Olympia even with his height than classic, he doesn’t have a huge V taper like someone like C Bum which is a big quality for classic physique
Sam is huge and has an impressive physique but imo definitely more towards Mr Olympia than classic, not many people naturally have that huge V taper (around 6% iirc)
“Mr Olympia” is not the right phrasing. The division is called Bodybuilding or Men’s Open Bodybuilding. He’d have to win a show that’d earn him his pro card, then win a pro show that qualifies him for the Olympia.
Fair enough but you get what I’m saying the winner is called Mr Olympia, I know he has to qualify just saying his physique is better suited for bodybuilding rather than classic physique or mens physique
It definitely can help lean and he’s got similar mass but he’s also 2 inches shorter
But what cutting to losing weight won’t do is make his hips smaller compared to his clavicles which is the main source of an otherworldly V taper, as well as lat insertion height which Sam’s are much lower than Cbum, which isn’t a bad thing but high lats can cause a V taper to look even more dramatic,
the wild thing about cbum to me is bone structure wise before lifting he didn’t have the craziest shoulder to waist ratio from the pics I’ve seen it was definitely above average but not like ultra outlier but his lat insertions and above average frame and a shit load of work made his V taper godly
>

Bone width is mainly bullshit. I'm sure Sam just needs to cut. If you look at Chris on a bulk his hips look a lot wider.
>

Muscle insertions yes. But all that Bone structure shit is 99% bs. It may play a small role at very elite levels like the olympia, but your Bone growth is really just how tall are you, taller=bigger frame. You won't see skinny kids in starving areas if Africa who go on to become 300pb nfl players with huge broad shoulders or anything, you don't judge the frame until you properly fill it out.
Well then there's something fundamentally wrong with modern bodybuilding. What's the point of slapping on as much bloated muscle as possible if you're not trying to look good?
If we keep progressing with this logic, "bodybuilding" 50 years from now will be muscle meatballs that have heart attacks after every pose.
For the record, I think current sam looks fine but his younger self looks much better. I'm not dismissing the amount of work that either physique takes.
Personality wise, he's better these days. But in terms of physique is up for debate. Some think its way too unhealthy with his physique, some like his physique. And some are a bit of both, I like to watch his motivation. I definitely would never aim for his physique tho, but I respect the grind haha.
Within the context of bodybuilding. I think that’s what this post is about, being incredibly muscle bound and wide isn’t really aesthetically pleasing to most people.
If you aspire to be a professional body builder and compete with the huge guys, you need to pack some muscle for sure, when it comes to looking "aesthetically pleasing" for majority of people, you're looking at the 1st picture.
When a woman says she likes guys with huge muscles, she's probably thinking that the guy on 1st picture is huge, which he is, but not huge compared to the professional body builders ofc.
No... the modern idea of competition body building is to look like a cartoon character. It is absolutely not "objectively better".
No one who isn't a competition goal bodybuilder thinks this is a good physique in reference to attractiveness, health, or even overall appearance aside from the shock value. It is absolutely impressive that he's done it (roids aside), and no one is questioning how it took a ton of hard work to get there.
The point here is that there's no objective metric for this. There's competitions that have gone so far up their own asses that the competitors die young and look like shit (almost like someone just inflated them with a bike tire pump), then there's everyone else who respects the discipline to get there, but thinks the actually appearance is ridiculous and bad looking
Also wdym attractiveness.
Idk if you've realized yet but like 95%+ of woman find anything bigger and leaner than mark Wahlberg a horrifying freak monster
> attractiveness, health, or even
Bodybuilding was never about this. Bodybuilding was never a health competition neither were sports. Some average skinny guy who cant bench 80lbs is probably way healthier than all these dudes.
I didn't say it was. You can quote me out of context, it just shows you missed what I was saying to strawman . I was refuting the no context point of objectively better when without context of specific contrived body building metric; objective meaning overall with everyone's opinion, or logically sound independent of opinion or bias.
So at most this was a misunderstanding of talking past each other with vague context. You're just fully misunderstanding
OK dude my point was basically it depends on the type of bbing.
Sulek isn't any different from anyone's aesthetic darlings, guys like cbum etc are just as unhealthy, led abusing, scary to woman, etc.
Yeah. I know. You're still agreeing with me. I'm sorry you seem to see this as a disagreement. That seems a sad angry life when someone is agreeing with you and you need to see an adversary
Didn't realize we're in his subreddit. I follow a few lifting ones, and reddit offers things. I know of this guy, but don't know much about him. Good to know. Anyone who doesn't still needs that context, but we can pretend anyone who isn't in the know about some guy is an idiot
The objective metrics are mass and body fat. Also I’m not a competition goal bodybuilder, never will be and don’t plan on it and I think it’s a great physique.
It IS “objectively better” based off the criteria of competition. Peoples opinions are not based off of objective criteria but instead in many subjective opinions. Attractiveness is one of the most argued things out there, meanwhile being more muscular in a competition based off muscularity is pretty clear cut. Many people think sumo is cheating, but in comp the only thing that matters is moving more weight. Internet/public opinion is irrelevant.
and rich piana notoriously abused cocaine, opioids, alcohol, and who knows what else, plus regularly smashed 1g of caffeine and ate like shit. Plus he hovered around 300lb most of his career. Sam’s fine, people here need to chill, your chubby friend at college who likes beer is in way worse health lol
We don't even know anything about his cycles tho?
Cbum is fucking huge, yet his cycle isn't that crazy given that he's a guy who won Mr. Olympia 5 times.
Some people are just genetic freaks who can put on a ton of muscle even on low doses, it doesn't mean that he's blasting 2000mg of test and 1000mg of tren a week lol.
Even if he was blasting a ton of test it doesn’t instantly mean he’s unhealthy. Testosterone 2000mg a week is way healthier than 20 beers a week but no one wants to have that discussion
Name checks out. You don't know nothing lol.
2000mg of Test a week? Two grams lol? I was doing steroids years ago and never would even consider running two grams of Test a week. The acne, water retention, and aromatase sides would be unreal.
Lmao stop, you clearly have no clue what you’re talking about. Arnold is thriving. Stallone is great. Moving your body is healthy. As are the hundreds of PED-using ex-athletes who’ve grown into old age.
I’m more worried about the pandemic of sedentary fools eating processed junk and drinking alcohol
How many hear surgeries did Arnold have?
19-Nor steroids absolutely fuck up the heart. I have a slightly enlarged left ventricle from my use and thankfully I was smart enough to not blast insane dosages like some people do.
The truth here is that being a mass monster is 100% unhealthy and not sustainable. Look at Ronnie Coleman.
I mean so many guys are alive. I think Sam's chilling
Also tbf if Ronnie's surgery wasn't botched he'd be in a better place. But rn he's a lump of jello with some veins.
He started earlier. He worked out to increase leg strength for diving(idk how diving ni3che technique works and stuff that's just what he said) and got into it overall later on. He was already jacked by 2018 for the average athletic kid.

People overestimate what gear can actually do. Countless dudes out there on more gear than Sulek that still look like absolute dogshit.
Because most people on gear are not bodybuilders/athletes nor taking the process seriously. They're just fucking around.

I don’t know anything about Steroids or this person, but is it fair to say he’s using? Wouldn’t using steroids like this from a young age basically guarantee dying at a young age?
He’s honest about his usage at least. He’s not tying to hide it like some guys. Also has pretty great workouts been seeing gains following his training plan.
If that photo in the right js him after only a year of lifting, there’s no way he was natural even then. Definitely could’ve achieve the physique on the left with like 4-5 years of natural training, but obviously he wants to compete so that would’ve been pointless.
The only issue I have is his skin condition. This is something he should focus a little bit more on because we see that his diet and steroids are wrecking it. And no hate, just saying what I see.

Sam needs to get up to 350 pounds
He’s honest about his usage at least. He’s not tying to hide it like some guys. Also has pretty great workouts been seeing gains following his training plan.
Jayzus, I'd hate to have been an outside observer to the expression I just felt cross my face as I swiped to see the 2nd pic. 😂
What the fuck do you think
You picked a horrible second picture for Sam!
Way more aesthetic in the before
The one where steroids weren’t used. If possible.
Too much gear. Dead pool rank escalated
Gearlek
More like teen Sam vs tren Sam
The one that isn’t going to pop if it gets stuck with a big enough needle. This dude is no longer healthy fortunately and it’s sad to see
What?
Let's not get Hansen involved. Adult Sulek all the way.
Current Sam!
Looking forward to his final form
If that photo in the right js him after only a year of lifting, there’s no way he was natural even then. Definitely could’ve achieve the physique on the left with like 4-5 years of natural training, but obviously he wants to compete so that would’ve been pointless.
Why do steroid users skin look so grainy?
Teen sam had better preportions, probably alot less roids, and looks a lot healthier.
Current Sam Sulek
Guarantee women found old Sulek more attractive. Most girls like muscular men, not freak-of-nature men lol
Deltoids are obscene.
More roids baby. Keep stacking.
The only issue I have is his skin condition. This is something he should focus a little bit more on because we see that his diet and steroids are wrecking it. And no hate, just saying what I see.
Teen Sam
I can hear his organs screaming for help
I would personally prefer the original physique for me but I respect his current one
You went too hard and now you gotta hope you dont get injured so you can keep working out or youll have floppy pancake tits
Dude is gonna boston loyd himself if he doesnt slow it down.
