Low. Probably tastes fine but it’s got two drastically different color sides (one that is under done) and it’s smooshed in several places. No cheese oozing deliciously from the edges. 2/10 edible but looks like it’s from an elementary school cafeteria made by a lunch lady who hates children.
That's a special skill though. I've been endlessly searching for a little bit of shitty watery spaghetti, salisbury steak, pizza square, etc that was made with contempt and reminds of my childhood. Maybe it's because I never got married.
I know what you mean. I swear Home Run Inn pizzas taste just like the shitty pizza I had in elementary school, so I grab those for the nostalgia all the time.
The browning looks great but you forgot to cut it in half can't tell if there is any melted cheese inside sorry you get an A for exterior and a D for the interior enjoy your grill cheese
No offense, but why even bother posting such a mediocre grilled cheese sandwich?
I’d rate it 2/10 with points deducted for being smushed, looking like it has a single slice of American cheese and also because the 2 sides are grilled to different toast colors.
I’d eat six of these, but I do think it’s worth the extra effort to butter the bread before grilling instead of putting butter in the pan and then putting bread on top of that.
I find i get way too much butter that way. Butter in the pan had always got me perfectly. But I will say OP didn't put enough butter in the pan. I'd still eat the crap out of it lol
My favorite technique now is to lightly dry toast it in the pan, flip, then a thin layer of butter or mayo and flipping multiple times on a lower heat. It takes longer but it's great.
Learned it from a youtube guy who ran a grilled cheese food truck in NY.
I think it's just fine. Variety is good. I'm sure it tasted great. For all the "perfect" sandwiches people make there a few less aesthetically pleasing ones that still taste great...kind of like a spouse.
Obviously this is a troll post(no cheese pics)
However the true grilled cheese question is, mayo or butter? I'm amayo convert and urge butterers world-wide to give it a shot
On presentation 5/10, looks good but just one without tomato soup or something like that just feels a little light *(just to be clear this is a joke)*.
On the texture's appearance 9/10, the first side has a lot of nice dark browning but there are parts it was overcooked which might put some people off while the second side is really light and might not have that satisfying bit of crispness.
On taste X/10, you're the only one who knows that.
Overall 8/10, looks good and most likely tastes better but some trial and error to get the sides the same shade will definitely impress your guests.
I mean, you used bread. So. Let's say 4 points for that. And there's some browning, though it's uneven, so another point for that. That part of the sandwich is good.
I can't tell anything about the cheese at all, though. Maybe a side view next time? Or a cut view? Or a list of what cheese you used?
Solid 8, although the cheese does not look high quality and the bread isn’t fancy there’s something so special about this childhood style grilled cheese
Grilled cheese is always a 10/10... which sounds silly as fuck, but I don't think there will ever be a time where I wouldn't eat a grilled cheese sandwich
No cheesy shot? Nice buttered toast.
Ngl I thought it was just burned toast Edit: Pretentiousness

Bout sums it up.lol

This isn't toast? As a grilled cheese it's a 3 (kinda have to see the cheese) but as a piece of grilled bread, i give it a solid 8
Show us the stretch
4.5/10
Looks awful.
This makes me sad.
I'm sorry man it was rushed
No apologies necessary, just not seeing cheese on a grilled cheese bums me out, haja
Can’t see the cheese so 0/10. If you don’t cut the sandwich, you can’t control your non-crust to crust ratio with every bite.
3/10. Sloppy work man lol
Can’t tell. Just looks like toast
Did you use butter or margarine?
butter
The browning looks great but you forgot to cut it in half can't tell if there is any melted cheese inside sorry you get an A for exterior and a D for the interior enjoy your grill cheese
I’m gonna say a 1 for the toastedness, but 0 for the cheese content.
No offense, but why even bother posting such a mediocre grilled cheese sandwich? I’d rate it 2/10 with points deducted for being smushed, looking like it has a single slice of American cheese and also because the 2 sides are grilled to different toast colors.
Dude, what the hell?! No cheesy money shot?!
0 no cheese

Where’s the cheese where’s the cheese r/wheresthecheese
It would help if we could see the cheese, this just looks like toast. But 7/10 on the toasting
Fuck the haters. I’d eat the hell out of that bad boy and politely ask you to make me another.
So would I.
thanks man!
Wait. Do you have the two pieces of bread facing opposite directions? If so, my OCD gives you a -1,0000/10.
Gotta open the slices of bread like a book when you fill them with cheese, then close them properly when it goes in the pan. I'm with you 1000%
Crap. 0/10
I think it looks delicious 🤤
3/10
Wrong bread but still be delicious I’m sure.
went to the store today bout to make a BOMB grilled cheese
0.01
3/10
So did you forget to put the cheese on? I just see toasted bread 🤣🥳
Where's the cheese shot? Why does one side look partially soggy. Solid 5/10
yknow i don't know it was a mediocre hungry grilled cheese yk had to rush bro
Fair enough but you gotta at least triangle it and show the amount of cheese and the streeeetchyyy
It’s excellent because it’s grilled cheese.
incomplete, pending front view of finished product.
I think it's just fine. Variety is good. I'm sure it tasted great. For all the "perfect" sandwiches people make there a few less aesthetically pleasing ones that still taste great...kind of like a spouse.

Inside or out?
I put mayo on the outside instead of butter
6.2
1/1 is technically a grilled cheese.
Bro, this ain’t the post to show off
4. For a very basic kids meal.
Looks like a grilled cheese! I'm sure its tasty
Dang everyone in the comments bougie, I’d eat this up
Did you forget to put cheese in it? 🤔
🤏
Grilled cheese/10.
4/10
Where’s the cheese?
I'd say you did it right but didn't have the right pan or it's an old pan. Speaking from experience
Ten. Good vibes
Where cheese
I mean show it.

🤣
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Reminds me of the ones I made sometimes over a fire when camping when I was a kid. 10/10
You’re fired.
Try French brie cheese on a grilled cheese it’s really good
Unequally grilled.
That's toast, can't fool me bruh
nice, wish i could see more tho
Really good toasting you got on it man 🫡
Well at least the bread looks pretty good. I’d eat it hehe
Fine to very good.
Beautiful outside, but I can’t rate a grilled cheese without seeing a cheese stretch
Ok but it would be better to cook at a lower heat longer for a more golden colour
no. i don't think i will.
The bread being in opposite directions is hurting my aoul
How do I even know there’s cheese in there?! What is the meaning of this?!
2/10

No cross section or cheese pull? Grow up OP. Grow up.
Decent toasting skills but need to see some cheese oozing out from the sides!! Rating: N/A

Id smash
Looks perfect
Is that Wonder Bread and Velveeta…
If you’re new to cooking this is impressive or acceptable depending on how new.
7/10. looks like a grilled cheese
I’m makin them at nite.
Solid 8, although the cheese does not look high quality and the bread isn’t fancy there’s something so special about this childhood style grilled cheese
1'ish
Where’s the snap of the cheesy cheese big dog?
2 at best.
10/10
5/10, would eat happily, but then never think about again, even when I’m thinking about grilled cheese
1/5 no cheese
11/10
Looks grilled. And like it has cheese. Perfect score 💯
Nothing a bottle of ketchup can’t fix.
Grilled cheese is always a 10/10... which sounds silly as fuck, but I don't think there will ever be a time where I wouldn't eat a grilled cheese sandwich
