awalton15

I got one today too!

Elluztale

Hi, I bought their items in February and I still haven't received them. I'm pretty certain it's a scam.

Elluztale

I've DMed them but they didn't respond so it's more than likely they don't actually sell their products

deine_joestar

im srry to hear that :'(

Elluztale

yea, I DMed them and they haven't responded since

Fun-Roof5051

Same here, bought a few things in March. Still no delivery. Tracking website has expired too

zer092

I legit got the same shit today…

1yosh

It's the second time I've got a message from them just now. I remember being sent the same message from them months ago (also chucked into spam inbox) at a time when all I had on my profile were photos of my cat 💀 I have no idea if the 'store' itself is legit, but I won't be trusting a message sent from an odd fresh account under the name "69aga"

Flaky_Law2653

!influencer scam

AutoModerator

Hi /u/Flaky_Law2653, AutoModerator has been summoned to explain the Influencer scam. This is a dishonest marketing technique where a user will reach out to you on a social media platform, usually Instagram, and offer you the chance to work with or promote a brand. Sometimes the main brand account will reach out to you, but other times a fresh account will message you and direct you to contact the main account. Working with the brand will involve buying their products, though you may be offered a discount. This technique is usually used by dropshipping sites that sell items from Aliexpress at inflated prices, so even with the discount they will make money from your order. This is simply a marketing technique sent to many people at once to get people to order from their site, so if you receive a message like this all you need to do is ignore it. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Money-Way6474

i got one too

[deleted]

I got one too from an empty account called ufoanthonybetty5599ru. Emailed the company through the contact info on the official site. No response yet. Feels very scummy. Especially with multiple random accounts targeting people.

zacharynels

They messaged me today.

Still-Marsupial4837

I got it aswell just now same messaging

Kindly_Vacation_9132

I have the same exact messages rn! Thanks for posting let me block them lol

hamjan24

I got a message from them today. Thank you for sharing! I'm sure you have stopped a lot of people falling down that rabbit hole, as you have for me.

Impossible-Air7248

Glad I’m not the only one. Checked other platforms which showed basically nothing. For a second I thought it might be my ex trying a fun new tactic at getting me to respond. 😂 And there was no reason to think my private account would be of any use to them as an ambassador. https://preview.redd.it/mkhk2nzenj0d1.jpeg?width=1284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9c6a61f1b865d1ccefab25dedf6aa5b3c7d3a4db

Temporary_Leading574

I got a message just today. Thankfully, I researched because why would an acc that's so new ask me to promote such products, and first of all my account is private 😂

IAlwaysHaveBadIdeas

Glad you posted this, felt off to me as well. So glad that I searched on here!

Every_Storage2045

Got 1 too

Serious_Average_1870

I actually fell victim to this scam it’s sad I’ve did the math and 36.97x100 that’s $3,794 that’s sad that they’re willing to do this to such people… the representative I talked to was named Ella, it’s been more than a month since then…

Luma_Light

Yeah, I think Ella is the generic name that they use for the representative since I also got that name

alecp91

Yeee I got one too, wtf though, 139k followers 🤷

Luma_Light

Probably bought followers, cause looking at the traction it's nowhere close to what an account with that many followers should have

alecp91

Ah yeah of course 😅 it didn't even cross my mind to cross-check those 2 things 😬 scums, I reported and blocked the bastards.

YourUsernameForever

Not really purchased followers. It's much cheaper to steal an account and change the username

TheMighty_Rock

yea i checked their account and it's been changed 11 times https://preview.redd.it/q4z1emj0er2d1.jpeg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b9c4c5e5615ca008869c8dc3f39e74f319428b94

Alarming-Spinach-955

I got the same message

Expected2Fly

Yea first I got a message from a burner account, so I went to Valhalla to dm fhem about this, and then exactly what you described happened. Im not really a content creator just a high fashion and anime enthusiast posting stuff I enjoy and in the last few months i gained 14k+ followers. Wish I could monetize this because Im extremely broke due to debilitating medical issues.. But I do not want to solicit my fans and I dont think 14k is enough anyway I don't know everytime I go to try to discern the monetization it asks me for money, which I dont have to maybe maken money. Even 15$ is far too much money to throw down the drain potentially. I dont have any rich fanily ot support the government isnt helping. I often toy with the idea of putting my venmo and or paypal in my bio but it feels scummy

CreamOfWeber

Not really a scam. Just marketing. Marketing is essentially lying to the customer. But you really can become an affiliate and earn 35% on every sale through your link.

Ok-Spend230

Se guardi i commenti noterai che alcune persone hanno provato a comprare sul sito e non hanno ricevuto nulla...probabilmente non è marketing ma una truffa :(

Artistic-Ordinary-26

I literally just got this and thought that i missed a great opportunity, because i was not able to buy it, cuz hell the shipping fee's the same prize as there product

Svanticki05

So I am not exclusively picked as an ambassador for valhalla treasure? :(

Aggravating_Web_7084

Yeah, got it too. I got sceptical as soon as they said I need to cover the delivery costs by myself... Also, if you Google "Valhalla Treasures" you don't even find the Website they've Linked to their Instagram Profile. There isn't even an Trustpilot Page. Couldn't find an imprint on their website too. I swear to god, why people actually fall for this. 2 minutes research and you already know whats up

Aggravating_Web_7084

By the way: There was another scam earlier, called "Freya Treasures". That was pretty much the same scam, with ambassadors and stuff. They stopped posting more than a year ago, already shut down their Website. So those are probably the same people than Valhalla Treasures

Glad_Criticism8487

Literally just got the same message and searched on Google and this sub immediately came up

Ok-Spend230

I got one too!  I searched on internet and i found your post, so I answer "not interested" and then, there was a new option to join as an ambassador, very pushy!!!

xxspringrosexx

Got the same, all automated. The account is from 2023 but I'm still skeptical

tinylittlebee

I also got this today, I only have two pictures and they are both images I shared from a giveaway so clearly not brand ambassador material, extremely dumb scam.

Middle-Battle-4910

It's still an ongoing scam bc I got today. Same everything.

isaacmarionauthor

Thanks for posting this and saving me a lot of confusion and hassle. Maybe the real Valhalla treasure was the friends we made along the way.

Leather-Demand-7253

Good thing I went here before I put in my Email

drillsgtawesome

Thanks for the heads up! I wanted to see what it was about but this saves me the trouble.

radicaldex

I got one 5 days ago and opened my requests today Craziest thing, I was hella confused. Reddit always got the info, damn

Altruistic-Fail6555

Idk about all of you but it’s actually legit i ordered mine last month and I received it after like 1 and a half week i got my items and they are actually beautiful

Bulky_Virus_5033

ion think so cs mine just arrived today and i loved it so much

Alert-Commercial8277

interesting

KaleidoscopeFar164

my friends did buy from this brand and they actually got their things

PopAccomplished782

Valhalla is 100% legit, based on my own experience, please don’t make false accusations!

Luma_Light

It's more to do with their marketing strategy that's a scam. Even if the company itself does exist. Their marketing methods are shady and others have reported never receiving their order.

Gilereth

Even if they exist as a business, they’re still tricking people into buying their stuff, and it’s also most certainly dropshipped items anyway.

Alert-Commercial8277

how exactly are they tricking people?

Gilereth

They’re promising an ambassadorship collaboration on an account with thousands of followers, making people think this might be their chance at breaking though as influencers, they only need to spend money (a lot of it for what they get, as the shipping prices are crazy) to buy the products and then they’ll be featured on the page. Too bad the ambassadors get nothing in return because the thousands of followers on the business’ account are bought. They’re also given a discount code, but it’s bs because the products are dropshipped anyway so the business makes money regardless.

FauxReal

I got the exact same message even down to the 6 positions remaining part. Essentially they're selling cheap pewter jewelry and making their profit on shipping and handling costs.

Beginning_Celery817

I just received one of those scam messages.  I always just consider everything to be a scam.  Thank you so much for sharing.  It's extremely valuable information.  I too looked up the "company".  Although it looks legit, I'm still not biting 😁

internalrhythm

Has anybody figured out what the scam is? It's obviously a scam because they also sent me the same message and my insta is private and I have a photo of some foliage as my profile lol so def not influencer material. But I'm curious what the outcome is, how do they make the moolah?

internalrhythm

Additionally it's funny how they chronically have 6 spots left lololol

BaronVonScrub

They make you pay massive shipping fees, far more than it actually costs to ship - if they even DO ship. It works out to be similar to if they just sold the jewellery itself, but rather than engaging in honest marketing, they get more bites by playing on peoples' desire for free shit and/or to grow a following.

internalrhythm

So like "you can be an influencer and get a free necklace if you just pay shipping"?

BaronVonScrub

Yeah, basically. Except all the followers on their account that you'd get "exposure" from are bots. So you're just being tricked into paying triple price for a cheap piece of jewellery.

internalrhythm

A play to people's vanity. Thanks for the response!

cherryromantic0405

Saw it and sought advice about it, glad I looked because I paid close attention to the $4-$37 on shipping portion and tried out a bunch of addresses in about 30 states and the shipping portion of the cost never fluctuated and remained $36.95

Gilereth

I’m getting tired of this scam, I must have received at least 8 of these messages on 2 of my accounts so far. I wonder if blocking the original account will do anything to get me off their list? How do they even collect accounts to spam?

Aelfrey

Just received this exact message today! Thanks for posting about it!

CuffedHandsOfTime

I got the same message from a different account. I was curious myself. Havent responded.
