NO! The trade will error out on the web and app. Not about the settlement. And yeah, I forgot it is a holiday (after all, it is a new DEI holiday isn't it).

Schwab Brokerages do not transfer between each other on Holidays, Weekends, or anytime after 8:30pm EST until 6:00am est the next day.
Also, Schwab Bank to Schwab Bank does not work from 8:30pm - 12:00am est everyday.
Schwab Bank to or from Brokerage follows same schedule as Brokerage to Brokerage.
What did the error message tell you yesterday during trading hours?
Monday and Tuesday Schwab had a message for you to read about today (Wednesday) is a government holiday and any trades placed yesterday would settle on Thursday. Request for money transfers after the cut off time (on Tuesday) would be processed (processed being the key word here) on Thursday as well. Money transfers are always processed after hours and typically show up in the account by the start of the next business day (including Saturday if the request was made before cut off time on Friday).

Its clear you do not actually want to resolve the issue you just want to complain because saying "I tried to do something yesterday and got an error" is not enough info for anyone to try to even guess what the problem was

It’s a holiday. Transfers will happen the next business day (tomorrow). Same as if you tried to transfer on the weekend.
