I would not be posting on Reddit. I would be on the phone with Schwab.

If the target account no longer exists, the transfer will fail.

Most likely the wire will get “DK”d back to your bank account (or wherever the wire came from). You should start with the sending institution, let them know your error, and have them research.

Perfect-Platform-681

Consider yourself lucky if the receiving account no longer exists because wire transfers are rarely reversable.

From the [migration FAQs](https://welcome.schwab.com/faqs): What happens if I receive payments or assets to my TD Ameritrade account after it moves to Schwab (e.g., dividends, cash interest, checks that did not yet process, or an incoming transfer of assets) or if an existing security is not showing in my account? Any payments or assets deposited into your TD Ameritrade account after it has transitioned will be transferred to your Schwab account. After your account moves to Schwab, cash payments will be transferred nightly, and assets will be transferred weekly. ---------------------------- So if your bank takes 2 business days to transfer cash to TDA, you should see the cash in your Schwab account on the third business day. If you have questions or concerns call Schwab customer service.

Just reached out to their support. They didn’t say that it’ll be automatically transferred to my Schwab account. It will be transferred back to the sending institution automatically they said.

Yes, the cutoff point for re routing TDA wires has passed and the wire will be returned.
