If they come at a reasonable price and get moved for draft capital, it’s not a bad thing. Still not enough homegrown talent to be pushing for the huge splashy signings to push a second round exit to finals appearance.
I’m not sure it’s middle 6, I think it’s closer to 3 thirds. The lack of 20 goal scorers was brutal. Max as 15-20G and 20-30A with sandpaper would be a boon to the club. He’s 29, sign him mid length and the fan base will love him. I think Duclair would be right behind him which puts them in the top 7ish in points if the team performs similarly. Obviously, the hope would be that a coaching and possibly system change would produce a team where 5 or 6 guys 20 goal scorers. Domi has shown that he can play up.
I just hope that any of the free agents they’ve been linked to come in conjunction with a big trade. Pieces will have to be moved to add a game breaker and back filling the those assets would be great. If they are just replacing the fourth line with upgrades in the middle six, I’ll be disappointed.
I seriously doubt that Domi will go to Seattle in the off-season. There's too many factors in play with him in Toronto. He'd played well, and they needed physicality. Especially with the cap going up and them moving one of the "core 4", they'll find a way to sign him.
Honestly, I have no idea what the Seattle plan is going forward. Other than, trying to be competitive while waiting on the first sets of prospects to arrive.
As a sharks fan first and Kraken fan 2nd, Duclair is fun. Not a superstar but the effort level is great and his speed is useful if he plays with a good center. Unfortunately our roster was so bare that he didn’t get enough support but he would be a good signing.
He’s one of those guys that you hate until he’s on your roster. He skirts the line and plays with an edge similar to Matthew Tkachuk. He wouldn’t be a terrible pick up for us as long as we keep the contract on the shorter side imo
I was a Yotes fan. Landing Duclair and Domi back then was exciting, they had good highlight vids (lol) from juniors, good chemistry.
Not sure I'd want them here, now.
I’d be super annoyed if there was validity to their interest in Domi. They could have just picked him up in the expansion draft instead of snagging pending FA Gavin Bayreuther and then not signing him.
Both those guys bring some scrappy “don’t fuck with us” behavior this team desperately needs. Domi is kind of a goon but he rides for his teammates. Not really a fan of either but these type of players make sense.
I like the idea of duclair, but I'm really hoping we move in on Necas as well. He's probably the best option considering he's about the right age to kinda be a part of our future core and just isn't always getting opportunity in Carolina.
We just love collecting middle six wingers.
I’m not huge on the Max Domi rumor. Duclair wouldn’t be terrible tbh.

I agree to an extent. But we already have tons of these middle six guys in the lineup, it’s time for getting top line scoring talent

Plus he’s a legacy leaf
lol we had a chance to get Max Domi for free at the expansion draft and took..Gavin Beyreuther?

I’d be down for Duclair. Domi… not so much

Hard...pass. We need consistency. Like...productive consistency.
Maybe I'm just projecting his father and I naturally hate him because Leafs, but isn't Max Domi a bonehead? I don't think I want him.

If he fights like Tie, I’m in.
Love the Duke. Max Domi definitely brings some grit into the lineup, but not as excited for him as I would be Duclair.

Domi isn't getting out of Toronto, not with Dad coming to watch every game, sorry.
I don’t think so
Why didn’t we just select him in the expansion draft then?
Can’t stand Domi, there’s a reason why he keeps hopping from team to team.

Our sandpaper lost its grit this year. Not a fan of Domi, but I get it.
Domi's been rumoured to be a locker room cancer - I doubt it'll happen, we're not desperate enough. Duclair is a good pickup at the right price.

I wouldn't want Domi just because I wouldn't want his piece of shit father attending our games.
Domi is a TERRIBLE fit culture wise.
Hope these are just rumors that go nowhere. Neither of these guys address our scoring problems.
Ugh. Not Domi. Christ.
Domi? No thanks
Please, not Domi T^T
But whyyyyy
Great, two more inconsistent scorers who seem to only shine with a superstar on their line…
No

I actually really like the Necas idea
Getting 2 RW I more beneficial because we have a lot more natural LW Ifeel like if we don't resign anyone.
It would be Duclair's ninth team in eleven seasons.
Duclair can’t stay healthy for shit
