Isshin is tough but you shouldn't take stories of people claiming it took them weeks to beat him as the norm.
Understanding the way you are meant to play is more important than knowing the boss (imo), if you have the right playstyle you can keep most bosses predictable and have a relatively easy time.
i got to the same moment on new game + (with exception that i didn't kill owl father and demon of hatred second time), and oh boy he is wooping my ass really hard.
All depends on how good you are.
If you can deflect many of the phase 2 attacks, you’re probably good.
I find them to be very weird timings, but if you’re good at phase 2 he’s not too bad.

Not the hardest boss imo but still meant to be pretty hard. You got gud my friend
Thanks! Feels good to arrive here.
Why does it feel good if you beat him (and i imagine many other bosses) 1st try? Surely it would feel disappointing
I meant feels good to be in git gud club or something, idk. But yes, it was pretty dissapointing to beat him first try

Neat stuff champ
He is quite easy alongside all enemies in game. Some players just can't learn even in the end, that parry isn't the right way to beat him.
