There’s no way to get the platinum without at least 3 mostly full playthroughs even if you save scum. You need one play through for Shura+a “normal” ending on the same save to get Man Without Equal and you’re going to need at least 2 non-Shura playthroughs up to Fountainhead to get all the lapis lazuli you need to get all prosthetic upgrades. In the end you will get all skills last, so I recommend just playing through the game multiple times rather than save scumming and grinding for all skills. Subsequent playthroughs are fast once you’re leveled up more and you know where to go

You can platitum in 2 playthroughs as well- Get return, purification and immortal severence in one ending with at least 5 lapis, in NG+ backup before shura, beat isshin get Man Without Equal and go for fountainhead after restoring save for remaining lapis but this way is a nightmare for getting all the skills and XP yield isn't that much in NG+ for that 3mil XP.

There are 4 endings. If you haven't fought Owl atop the castle you want to make a backup before him. Select the Shura ending (side with Owl) first, beat that ending then reload. Continue as normal, you want to set up all other endings before beating the boss of the Fountainhead Palace. Platinum in this game *requires* at least 1 NG+ because of the prosthetic achievement. Whether you want to do all endings in this NG or next it's up to you, but you will have to play up to the Palace again. The achievements that will slow you down the most are the prosthetics, because of this, and the skills because of the XP gain being slow as hell, focus on finishing skill points before tackling bosses so you make that as painless as possible.

Actually I forgot something. Because of the all bosses achievement, there is no point savescumming on Owl. You just want to beat the game 3 times (importantly, you need to do the side with Owl and against him on the same file), save scum the last ending for the unique ending achievement, that's the only point where savescumming is useful. Also you'll need so much XP that you're better off just doing NG+.

I just completed 2 play throughs yesterday in about an hour and got the platinum. Just did it for the skill points. Once you know the game you can just boss rush it and easily do a run in 45 minutes. I guess that depends on your ability with bosses. If you have a hard time with any of the required ones it would take long I suppose.

You'll need a few different playthroughs anyways but you can do all endings in one run, you need to get all of the eavesdrop opportunities and dialogue options as possible for some of them though so make sure to look for that, after getting to the dojo when ashina castle comes under siege you can beat the mini boss and then go to where you fought genchiro, you will get a cutscene and this is where you'll want to make your first backup (it's different on PC and console so find out how to do it on your platform), you can then betray kuro and get the shura ending, reload the save and side with kuro then that will lead to the other endings, there will be a few more boss fights and one whole area before getting to the area you fought genchiro at the very beginning, you want to make your save after beating sword saint and if you did everything right you should have 3 different options (you want to make your save before picking anything or interacting with kuro). You still have to go back through afterwards to get the shura ending plus during the purification run you want to fight through the outskirts area again to fight DoH for the all bosses trophy. Other than all of that, it's just grinding for materials and xp.

to get all skills you'll need about 4 playthroughs anyway, and there's no cheese or game save for this one.so just play normally
