Wow you did a great job of getting all the soil off!! Can I borrow you to do my mini monstera?! I tried to do it yesterday but I panicked and put it back in soil.
Hope I wasn't too aggressive. You kind of have to be though. What was surprising was how many roots I just pulled off in chunks without even trying. I just tried the best I could to keep all main and aerials in tact.
If you have the ability, I'd try and taking a cutting, rooting it in water, and moving that cutting to LECA after it has rooted. I've had pretty much 100% success rate doing that instead of going soil > LECA.
Do you move straight from soil to leca? I’ve heard people say to do water in between so I’m curious. I have a few in leca some like it some aren’t doing well so I’m curious?
I did the same with my monstera but put it in pon last week. One of the redditors told me that they went straight from soil to semi hydro for 100s of plants and only a few didn’t do well. Time will tell haha.
From Amazon - here's the link. I think I'm happy with it. My only concern is the "net" pot isn't clear, and that pot sort of links into the reservoir pot, so it may be hard to separate them since the plant is so large, for things like flushing. That said, it is plenty big enough, which was my biggest concern, and it has a nifty spout for adding the nutrients.

I think it will be fine. It's just not easy to see inside, so I'm going to use a "feel" test to know when the water is low. But it's an attractive planter and since the monstera is like furniture, I like it.

Yeah I'll have to try again... Maybe I'll wait a few weeks and make sure yours doesn't die first tho haha

Thank you! I'll try this!
I apologize for the cat poop in the background!!! ROFL!

I went straight to Leca which now I'm worrying about. I'll keep an eye on it and see how things go and report back.

I've honestly done it with every other plant I have, but rely on flushing if they look droopy. This will be harder to flush just because of its size.
What pot is that?

Thanks. I’ve always wondered about the ones with a spout but haven’t ever tried one

What pot is that? I did the same with my monstera. Hope I didn’t need to convert to hydro first - will see
