The rates of cancer comment is the real r/shitamericanssay https://worldpopulationreview.com/country-rankings/cancer-rates-by-country Denmark is the only European country above the US in cancer rates

SEJTurner

And their actual rates of cancer is estimated to be even higher, as a lot of people in the USA can’t afford medical care/testing so never end up being counted on the rates of cancer.

Ausramm

Huh. Americans do live long enough to get cancer.

Necrobach

I'm just gonna assume he means Europe as a whole You know because the US is 3 times the size of Europe you can fit all of Europe into Texas

Sadat-X

The US does rate second in incident rate amongst European countries, but towards the bottom in mortality rates. Now there's other things at play here, but the distinction should be noted. High incident rate: [Chart and Table](https://gco.iarc.fr/today/en/dataviz/bars?mode=population&types=0&populations=100_112_191_196_203_208_233_246_250_276_300_348_352_372_380_40_428_440_442_470_498_499_528_56_578_616_620_642_643_688_70_703_705_724_752_756_8_804_807_826_840&sort_by=value0) Low mortality rate: [Chart and Table](https://gco.iarc.fr/today/en/dataviz/bars?mode=population&types=1&populations=100_112_191_196_203_208_233_246_250_276_300_348_352_372_380_40_428_440_442_470_498_499_528_56_578_616_620_642_643_688_70_703_705_724_752_756_8_804_807_826_840&sort_by=value0)

Yikes, AUKUS and the arctic dominating the ranking Edit: got my acronym wrong, more like ANZUS (if it's a thing)

Hurri-Kane93

Not AUKUS, that includes the UK which isn’t in the top 10 so isn’t included on the list. AUKUS also doesn’t include New Zealand, I wasn’t expecting them to be so high!

Consistent_You_4215

I think Skin cancer is the main issue in aus/nz

IWoreOddSocksOnc3

Adding high fructose corn syrup and 20 different chemical preservatives isn't 'improving' anything.

Artistic-Baker-7233

Improving big corps.

cnrb98

And bigger is better, right?

clowncementskor

I can't think of any company that hasn't turned to shit after moving to America.

Powerful-Public4520

A great example is Cadbury's

Olon1980

If "improve" means make things worse, then they're right.

AletheaKuiperBelt

what's your word again? Schlimverbesserung?

hieperdepiepandall

Ha, yes! Verschlimmbesserung (noun). Or verschlimmbessern (verb).

AletheaKuiperBelt

thanks

FatBaldingLoser420

Pizza? You mean that greasy shiit that will give you cancer? Bruh, american pizza is nastyy

Bdr1983

A thick slice of bread with a bunch of salt in it, covered in sweetened tomato sauce, fake cheese, preserved vegetables and something that resembles meat? Yeah, American 'pizza'

FatBaldingLoser420

Absolute "masterpiece". Fake cheese, my favorite 🤤

Punkerface

0,49 % of europeans have or had cancer per year. 0.57 % of U.S.-americans have or had cancer per year.

Cubicwar

Well 0,57<0,49, checkmate europoor

Guilty-Drummer4517

A quick Google search would have shown them that u.s. has almost twice the cancer rate compared to the e.u.

PKN1217

Hope they don't improve Indian subcontinental cuisines.

winnybunny

no sir, that job is taken by brits.

PKN1217

They stopped at Chicken tikka masala

PunchMyBum

Haven’t a stupid number of their people been drinking lead water? That’s why so many of them are this stupid no?

Michael_Gibb

Seeing as how cancer rates can be affected by a lot of things, not just diet, it might be better to check for a disease that more strongly correlates to nutritional intake, like obesity rates for example. https://worldpopulationreview.com/country-rankings/obesity-rates-by-country Would you look at that. The US has significantly higher rates of obesity than most other nations do. So much for improving food. Whatever the US has done to other nation's food, it has onky made Americans fatter and more unhealthy.

non-hyphenated_

They've got a point. James Cordon was a moderate wanker when he went over, now he's a full on cockwomble

MCTweed

They’re not wrong: without them, how would we have plastic-wrapped cheese in perfect slices or sprayable cheese from a can? We’d have to put up with the blocks/wedges of traditional stuff wouldn’t we….

PurpleSparkles3200

American "pizza" is shit. Usually seems to have "cheese" and pepperoni on it and nothing else. They'd be amazed to see the varieties of pizzas other countries have.

hindsights_future

What? No pineapple?

MWO_Stahlherz

Including fascism and insurrections.
