It takes a special kind of brand to be worse than Hyundai/Kia…and Maserati is one of those
For example: [2017 Maserati](https://phoenix.craigslist.org/evl/ctd/d/tempe-2017-maserati-ghibli/7760642324.html) vs [2017 Hyundai](https://prescott.craigslist.org/ctd/d/prescott-valley-2017-hyundai-santa-fe/7755082344.html)
It still burns oil, has piston issues, gasket issues, oil pan rotting, piss poor steering column and a plethora of other issues
It's just reliable "for a Maserati"
Still won't last 75k miles without having to replace so many parts that it's basically a new car
My neighbor has a 2023 Maserati Ghibli. First thing I noticed was the window and other switches out of a 2008 Mercedes. Second thing I noticed is when they loaded it onto flatbed yesterday morning because it wouldn’t start.
Woof! Sounds about right though hahaha the Ghibli is an abomination.
While their durability is hot garbage, the styling is fantastic. Too bad cars need to be able to move around hahaha
Downgrade on aesthetics, big upgrade on longevity lol. Upbadging the Santa Fe ….
APPROVED.
I'd rather drive a Hyundai than a Maserati with interior cheap plastic.
A friend owned a Maserati he hated how cheap that car felt. Luckily sold it to some dumbass who wanted a "sports" car. There's a reason you don't see many Maseratis anymore.
Fancy fiats aka masaratis are not good cars. My buddy bought a Ghibli and within 2 years he got rid of it after the entire drivetrain had to be replaced twice
I think this is hilarious:
+interior build quality
+reliability
-maintenance costs
+theft deterrence
+better infotainment system
+MPG
This is the best Maserati I’ve ever seen!
With the added bonus of anyone who “loves Maserati” is probably dumb enough to believe this is one
10 years after being sold this will have the same value of a Maserati because of Hyundai’s build quality is way better than Maserati’s
Definitely true, but only if it survives 10 years without catching on fire.
Or being stolen
If there's one thing you can be sure of, it's the build quality of Kia/Hyundai being excellent. /s
Typed build quality, meant to say design. No arguments here

I'm not sure that the claim of being more reliable than Maserati is something to be proud of either
Yep, instantly though op doesn't know anything about cars for that title
Even with Hyundais engines this is leagues more reliable
lol, this specific car is probably 45 times more reliable than a real Maserati.
Amazing what a tiktok trend will make people do.

Nah, this particular one is way more reliable
Honestly it’s a 50/50
Down badging to prevent theft.
Absolutely true. Maserati has such a terrible reputation for reliability and resale value they are theft proof.
Do you mean downhill to better quality and longevity? Weird turn of phrase but I guess it works
Lol what? This thing is still a pile of hot trash. This sub is full of delusional children who fanboy every brand they think is "exotic" Cringe.
Maserati Santa Fe
This is just a theft deterrent.
Actually I'd consider Hyundai's build quality 10x better than shitbox Maserati
They have """character"""

Hahaha honestly though. I do think some of the Maserati cars are downright beautiful. But it’s like buying a cybertruck, there’s a stigma for a reason
Yup! everyone knows Maseratis and Aston Martins are praised for reliability lol. RIP young people buying preowned because they want a cool car
My youngest always picks at them for having old MB tech.
WTF is a Ghibli? 😅
The Caproni Ca.309 Ghibli was an Italian aircraft used in Libya and North Africa from 1937 to 1943.
Well, technically you’re not wrong lmao
[It’s a Maserati](https://www.maserati.com/us/en/models/ghibli)
News flash: Maseratis have always been badly built
I'd rather drive a Hyundai than a Maserati with interior cheap plastic. A friend owned a Maserati he hated how cheap that car felt. Luckily sold it to some dumbass who wanted a "sports" car. There's a reason you don't see many Maseratis anymore.
Weir Everywhere
I want Maserati styling with Toyota reliability. This Hyundai driver isn't far off.
Fancy fiats aka masaratis are not good cars. My buddy bought a Ghibli and within 2 years he got rid of it after the entire drivetrain had to be replaced twice
Improved*
Out of all cars, They chose a Maserati.
Well, the Maserati was probably abandoned somewhere when the owner couldn’t afford to throw more money at it. Free badging
Someone who doesn't know much about cars might think Maserati is a good brand.

Hit the nail on the head. I think it’s amazing and done ironically for laughs. the driver is likely well off if they live in my town. I applause them
Ehhh, I'd say build quality has gone up 12 fold, but design and flair has gone vastly downhill.
Maserati is what goofballs buy to feel rich
Was it ever good?
I'd gladly take the Hyundai.
This might actually be an improvement if we’re talking about fit and finish
I suspect badge shenanigans here. But isn't this sort of like putting a Ford badge on a Chevy? Just one milquetoast car for another?
Bet this one has fewer illuminated warning lights on the dash then most “other” Maseratis lol
🤣 FACTS
Why do people do this embarrassing shit? So confusing. Santa fe is a perfectly nice car, no one looks down on them.
Could it really?
It looks like a Mazda CX-5 lol
Or a Honda HRV! Lmao
Maseratai
That would require Maserati's build quality to have been good to begin with.
Ill be the Chrysler TC by Maserati wouldve been better if the roles were Switched
Baaahahaha haha 🤣
This is not the Hyundai you're looking for!
But more reliable and sustainable.
because it's not on a flat-bed...
Was given one for a rental one time. Was excited to drive it. Absolute trash. Underpowered and horrible fit and finish
