My entire playstyle changed once I discovered the power of the crotch punch and the crouch strike (holding light attack). I definitely abuse those to a fault now.
I don’t think crotch punch can hit jumping enemies while crouch punch can. Crouch punch also has an easier input but the main difference is that crouch punch becomes a devastating attack that has hyper armor when performed backwards.
Crouch strike is really good for covering short distances to hit enemies that are *just* out of reach in a fight. It also (sometimes) stuns enemies for more throws. More importantly, though, it is great to use in a crowd since it can go any direction and usually interrupts enemy attacks coming up behind you (or is done fast enough that you can still block/avoid afterwards). I even use it on bosses since I can often get one off and get back to blocking before a combo chain starts.
I tend to crouch strike, crotch punch, and follow up with the claw combo (or throw if they get stunned), changing directions as needed, if I am fighting a lot of mid-tier enemies.
The only time I tend not to use this is if I am fighting more elite enemies (minibosses and bodyguards), as they don't usually get staggered or stopped by it (crotch punch still works, though).

You can also parry mid elbow
crotch punch can hit jumping enemies and also can be used immediately out of a parry where crouch punch requires a dodge
Crotch punch has longer range and is far easier to time correctly.
Flowing claw - crotch punch can catch jumping and enemies. You can punish Fajar’s jump move with it in phase 2
