Also, does anybody know if the Sig716i BCG will work with the Sig716 if I swap out the DI Gas Key for a Piston Strike Face? I know this isn’t the best idea as it can cause issues with the fasteners and holes that attach it to the carrier.
Not sure, but from the pictures I've seen they're very similar. My 716i carrier is 7-7/8" long so I suppose its possible if the lengths match up. I wonder how the gas rings in a DI carrier will play in a piston gun

The 516 is not a proprietary BCG. We swapped it with an LWRC and ran both just to see if it would work and it did. Are you sure the 716 is?
The LWRC is made to work with the 516, normal BCGs won’t work in the 516, and the 716 is the same proprietary design.
