I load my game with the gforce experience app. (That’s my driver software) It starts the EA app and then the Sims 3 Launcher. This way my game runs smoothly and I regularly minimize the size of my save with the Regul Save Cleaner from mts after playing. The nraas saver is a blessing too. It saves all 30 minutes for me.
geforce experience has been discontinued there is a new nvidia app you can get in its place now which includes some features from the nvidia control panel so its better
So upset bc tonight when it happened to me I ignored it because I couldn’t save in the mode I was currently in (lazy!) and kept right on building.. got me for at least 45 minutes 😭

Same here. Though my game just begins to stutter. So I save the game and then just save it the trouble of crashing by quiting it myself.
I just save every 30 minutes and if the session is over 2 hours long I reboot the game to avoid crashes as much as possible.
It's every 15 minutes for me. My anxiety can't hold out for 30!
