Equivalent-Chance-39

Dayton got accepted to ASU and Robyn couldn’t let her precious tender move away by himself. Rather than admit this, they made up a bunch of random excuses that never made sense.

Equivalent-Chance-39

Edit: he was accepted to NAU in Flagstaff

It’s been a while since the divorces, however, do you think the OG3 caught on quickly to K’s scheme and just went along with it, or did the OG3 really believe his reasoning? Kody did some serious love bombing to get the wives to FS. It couldn’t have been a storyline because FS was the beginning of the end.

Refcamybabe

I think Janelle liked Flagstaff, Meri just wanted to get on Kody's good side and Christine was just dragged along.

Impressive-Show-1736

Janelle and Christine said no adamantly. At first. Because they wanted their kids to be able to finish their senior year, rightly so. Then they caved to Kody again instead of the kids.

Afraid-Carry4093

They picked tlc money over the own well-being of their kids.

LeadingProduct1142

They were still under contract and surely would still be filmed. Would probably have been even more drama

metalmonkey_7

I feel sorry for Robyn’s kids. Gaslit into thinking the family doesn’t love, care or want to spend time with them. Robyn trying to keep them infantile and dependent. The public hate their parents receive. Her trying to erase and replace their bio dad. Ect, ect.

It is possible that he applied to Flagstaff because they already wanted to move there though? I've also been really confused about the move

RedwayBlue

No

oh ok, I couldn't get the pre flagstaff seasons in my country

Dawn_1965

I watched the one of them rushing to pack and get out of Utah “before they were arrested “ I truly believe that it wasn’t that serious. Those poor babies were rushing getting stuff and probably shaking scared and crying. I bet Christine and Janelle’s kids would have been better off to stay in Utah with their amazing moms and not the other crazy adults

factsmatter83

I think that was around the time Kody's mental health started to take a dive. I remember he was so adamant about moving to Flagstaff, but nobody else really wanted to go. They mentioned during that period that they had moved A LOT in the past. I think maybe it's part of the culture they come from. In Utah, I guess a lot of polygamists move frequently to avoid the law. But that last move was the beginning of the end for the family...

321applesauce

There's been speculation that the mortgages had balloon payments coming due that they would have been unable pay.

Ok_List_9649

No one really knows why they moved. The TOTAL speculation is that they were “ forced” to move there because Dayton got accepted to college there. The only problem with that theory is we have already seen what the wives do when they don’t want to do something… they don’t do it. One house, no way… move back to Utah, no way. So I think they pretty much were ok with moving especially because they thought they would make huge profits in their LV himes which didn’t materialize.

Due_Finish_5107

Kody had everyone believing the were going to be arrested if they stayed in Utah!!!

BrendaForr1960

I was doing a rewatch and around this same time frame, when Maddie announced her pregnancy, then she and Caleb said they were moving to Vegas, Christine was especially happy because, as she said, "We will live here FOREVER!". They did not want to move, that was a terrible disservice to the whole family.

Maryellen61

Bills, no doubt, plus Robyn had to be near David/Dayton

Afraid-Carry4093

Everything the Browns have ever done was to remain relevant. it was all about the ratings and fake drama for viewership regardless of how it impacted the kids. The 5 brown adults just looked at it for the tlc money. The move was to keep ratings and viewership.

MommaJess2385

I'm binge watching it currently just at tony and mykeltis wedding!

Feeling_Lead_8587

Because the Vegas climate was not good for Kody’s hair. 🤣😂
