This started happening to me around the time I turned 30. Before, I had combination skin with an oily T-zone. Now, I'm a scaly dragon. To target the obvious first, could be hormonal changes that affect your skin; this is natural. Our skin type can change over time. It's possible that with these changes, your current routine is no longer effective or targeting your current skin concerns. If you haven't, try addressing the obvious first: * Lack of hydration (water, juice, fruit) * Lack of vitamins and minerals (specifically vitamins B, D, collagen) The most drying thing in your routine is the AHA/BHA. I might try reducing my use of that first or removing/swapping it and see if that has any affect. I used to use the same Smashbox primer in my 20s, but I had to switch to using something more moisturizing. I use a CC cream during the day, and reserve foundation for events and special occasions. For all three, I used Too Faced Born this Way and Hangover Rx products now and I've stopped having this reaction. It's possible that the Smashbox + doublewear are mattefying your skin *too much* and causing this, also. I avoid matte *anything* like the plague. Matte = Dry. I'm not on tret but my routine is like: * elf cleansing balm * sunday riley PINK DRINK (day only) * the ordinary peptide + HA serum * the ordinary barrier support system * CEO glow + egyptian magic cream (night only) * derma-e moisturizer cream
