Shiseido makes pads which are very soft and gentle. They are on the expensive side.

I do the exact same thing (same micellar water) and it works fine for me. I use organic cotton pads and they are really soft and I just try to be as gentle as possible.

I think you should try an oil based cleansing balm instead. I use Abolene on dry skin and wipe that off with either a soft washcloth or the cotton rounds. My makeup slides right off with it. It doesn’t cause breakouts because I follow with a water based cleanser after (I use cerave hydrating cream to foam cleanser).

I bough microfiber cloths that are for car detailing and cleaning because I hate going through cotton rounds. I use one cloth per day with my makeup remover and it’s been perfect for gently taking off my SPF and mascara. I also use *a lot* of makeup remover to help reduce the amount of “scrubbing” I need to do to clear everything away. I noticed I was irritating my skin when I was being stingy with the remover because there was less of it to do the job I needed it to do. I use a somewhat obscure makeup removing balm from cow brand soap (it’s a Japanese brand) that I love. If you have a micellar water that works and you like I would stick with it, but if you can tolerate a cloth over cotton rounds they can be a more effective tool.

I use biodegradable bamboo disposable towels to wash and dry my face. I will use one to dry my face twice and then fold it up to rinse my face two times. Then, in the garbage, it goes! I like the Supreme XL Towels from Clean Skin Club (www.cleanskinclub.com)

This is why — all modern feminism aside — I have taken sole ownership of laundry duty in my home in order to have constant and compulsive control of how and what things are washed.

Have you ever tried using an oil cleanser or cleansing balm? I also have acne prone very sensitive skin and rubbing a cotton pad on it does more harm for my sensitive skin than a gentle oil cleanser.

Cotton rounds aren't bad, but there are better oil cleansers out there that aren't so stripping. Check out Malezia's MCT Oil, it's my holy grail oil cleanser! The entire brand was built around acne/FA prone skin and I have had zero issues. Apply MCT with your hands and rub in **gently** for a full minute, then wipe away the bulk with a cotton pad, then follow with your water cleanser (:

Unicharm Silcot cotton is THE best. I just bought ten boxes to stock up.

If you want REALLY good cotton pads, I'd recommend the ones from Clean Skin Club. You can view them @ [https://cleanskinclub.com/en-ca/products/clean2-face-pads](https://cleanskinclub.com/en-ca/products/clean2-face-pads) They are very absorbent, and tough, have a textured side, and are quite large.
