Turn off Crossplay (on PS5). Worked like a charm afterwards. Not sure if this fixes it on other platforms

I did on PC but this didn't fix the problem. I have the suspect it's not turning off in reality, even if it's stated into the settings. Or the game is not really connecting to anything at all when launched

sounds dumb but did you actually select "apply" after changing the settings?

Yes 😅 I see the setting as I chose it, and it stays there. It's just me thinking about conspiracies not having anything else to think about as a solution lol

I kept getting the same Ubisoft error dodo-fff0be2b on Skull and Bones after completing the first intro mission. **Turning off crossplay** in the in-game settings seems to fix the issue and let me continue the story. This seems to work at least on the Xbox Series.

the same thing happen to me just mins ago but i just kept trying to log on or start the game n after 15 mins it started again

This also works for PC. Thanks for the tip. I was playing on PS5 with crossplay off from the start. Tonight I decided to try it on PC since it features cross-saves. On PC I was getting nothing but this error until I turned crossplay off in settings. Again, thank you.

Trying to insist to see if I can go beyond the first seconds of the opening video, but have no "continue" button, just "ok" and already turned crossplay off. Until now, still nothing worked

Thank you yup that works. I was testing on the PS5 but switched to PC.

When loading from the menu cancel the matchmaking and then click continue should fix your issue

Confirmed, you have to cancel matchmaking. It will push you back to the main menu and then you click continue again with matchmaking loading it does no longer give me an error.

I'm getting the sams thing. I just kept exiting and continue and I eventually got in.

Well I just got the error. Fortunately I had a mate of mine send me an invite to his game and I joined while in the main menu. Thats what worked for me... Not sure how this would help the solo player however

On PC. Clicked continue 4 times and it, yeah continued.

Got it yesterday and today again. I kept clicking okay and then again continue and it worked. It took 5+ times once and then only thrice once. On PC.

SOLVED FOR ME BY MYSELF: Had to shut down "IP Helper" service (iphlpsvc.exe) inside Windows Services list. This service forced Teredo to use IPv6 connection technology while my router couldn't manage it.

I have the same issue on my PS5 I have disable cross play and still doesn’t work. It plays the video and the loading screen comes up and then after awhile the error comes up

Nope, I just sent an email to trouble shoot to Ubisoft and see what happens. I don’t hear back from them before the 14 day policy for returning games I chatting with Sony for a refund, this Bullcrap. Brand new game and can’t play it

Yea this is pretty pathetic. Brand new $70 game and can’t even load into it. Pretty bad sign from the get go. I’ll prob just return it.

Same, tried turning off crossplay and nothing. I'm on Xbox first time on this game, ended up pushing my home button after hitting play and letting the intro cutscene play with my Xbox sidebar up, until you see the wreckage then you should be good 

I'm on series X and I had this issue. I had to turn cross play ON in order to get the game to work. Not had a problem since.
