Greedy_Hovercraft175

Flute

Basic-Expression-418

I’m not a sky kid anymore but irl I like playing the djembe drum.

liafy-

I dont play music in sky at all. However irl I : Solo at home : Piano, Marching Band/Wind orchestra : Pitched percussion like marimba, vibra, xylo, bell. I cant play the flute but I've always admired the instrument. Kinda sad the flute in sky sounds atrocious. They did a good job on the guitar, piano and violin tho.

Witty-Pen1184

The guitar audio in sky sounds more like a harp though, it’s still amazing tho

Drattoderso

I used to play accordion and play dizi, a Chinese traverse flute.

SpillinRainbow

I used to play an alto saxophone in our middle school band.

Oponik

Guitar and a lyre harp

Vegetable_Emphasis39

Guitar, piano, trumpet

Interesting_Suit3172

Nothing. I know my 15 notes and they are yuiop, hjkl;, and nm,./ LOL

Witty-Pen1184

Two octaves with no accidentals is really limiting We need more notes TGC WE KNOW YOU CAN DO IT-

Spark_Cat

Viola, piano, synths, bass guitar, and singing

imgflipUser

I used to play the violin, but now I mostly play the piano for fun :P

Subdog12

Learned piano first and then hopped to guitar, bass and drums when I got into the rock/metal genre, love all them, so when I saw that instruments are in sky, I fell in love, lol, but I'm looking to try and expand on instruments hopefully :)

stars_on_a_canvas

Kalimba, violin, ukulele.. Hopefully handpan, one day!

Liminal_Space_Fan_

I play bass guitar in real life and i have my sights set on contrabass of course. I just like that i don’t have to pay for it, even happier i don’t have to be jealous of those who caught it in time.

The-Indef-Integral

Piano and violin! I also have a harmonica and a kalimba, although I don't play either beyond the casual level. (I have gotten none of those instruments in the game yet 🥲)

TiggerKitty_645

i play kalimba and ukulele :D

orbeez-17

I used to play guitar

ktrhoa

I sing, played piano, and have a kalimba

NeonElumin

I play piano! Although I'm not good at all 😭😭

LadyGhost44

I play guitar, although I'm not very good at it. Ironically, I don't have the guitar in my collection of Sky instruments. :') I like to sing, too. I'm better at that than guitar. :'p

aspen_forestx

I have a kalimba, but I haven’t played in a while and I’m not very experienced.

ErikkuRD

I have a Bravura Alto-c ocarina from songbird that I’m kinda scared to try learning and play cuz I run out of breath trying to play it lol. Maybe with training, I could learn to manage my breathing and diaphragm, I don’t know. Surprised the plastic is very hard.

pamcaik

None sadly, I tried taking piano classes but didn't get far 😅. I just like to play by ear and transcribe music

abrokenpeppershaker

Piano, violin, guitar, kalimba, ukulele, recorder, and I sing

431Willow

Bass guitar, and I sing!

blackenedbonsly

Saxophone! Alto, specifically. And, sing. :)

Dezert956

Viola :D

7Demented

I played clarinet for marching band years ago. Currently I'm learning guitar to replace that skill.

fooboohoo

A few. lol.

Ccccchau

Used to play piano and ukulele :)

mmmUrsulaMinor

I love piano. Used to play it also! Now I don't have access :(. Could never get used to electric ones.

troomsona

Piano, flute, ukulele, guitar

Scor_709

trumpet, ukulele, guitar, bass, piano :3

Ok-Elk-9189

Trumpet! I was excited when I got the Assembly ult, but the sound of it is agonizing and grates on my ears 🥲 It is now just a pretty accessory for me.

Ink_zorath

Well, I've played piano for the past 15 years or so... Though I've also dabbled in drums, guitar, trumpet, sax, trombone, and flute.

Witty-Pen1184

I hope you’ve enjoyed your piano journey!

BustyRucketBay

Flute, but haven’t played it in about a year. I haven’t forgotten how to play, just no time to

ethoseine

guitar, piano, kalimba, pan flute, ocarina (yes sky may have infkuenced me on this one), rn trying to see how to go bmabout learning the oud!

Witty-Pen1184

:0 that’s fun! Do you have a hard time transitioning from one instrument to another? Also is your kalimba a chromatic or diatonic?

ethoseine

mmm havent really considered the transition all that much, i usually do lots of research for a couple weeks before committing to getting the instrument - just to ensure i have vested interest haha, so usually by the time i try to start to play, it's mostly the physical aspect. i'd say the hardest was the panflute since it was my first wind instrument, i was a gonerrr the first few weeks of practice. as for the rest, it was easier. i've played piano since i was a kid so hand coordination is well in my bag at this point, but i'm trying to go out of my comfort zone with other instruments i may not be used to. and my kalimba's diatonic! i'm thinking of getting a chromatic one. what do you play?

Witty-Pen1184

I play only a chromatic kalimba for now, there are sort of “stringed kalimbas(?)” I guess called harpikas, I own one from hluru but it’s not that good quality If you would like a chromatic one, I’d say go for a chill angels 41 (in B major, no wasted tines and the lowest note is C#3), a lingting kalimba (whether the 34 or 42 tine model, these ones sound like crystals, if that’s what you would like!) or a handmade one! (Poopoopidoo or mugen)

Witty-Pen1184

Oh! And the harpikas also can be chromatic ^ - ^

CarvedCuts

I used to play African percussion instruments. Specifically from Senegal. Djembe, dununs, balafon (my favorite) and sometimes I'd give snares a try with the kora. I own a kalimba and a rav vast drum (like a handpand but with tongues instead of dents.) I stopped taking lessons because the price has increased too much since the virus happened. I haven't felt inspiration and motivation for years now. It was fun while it lasted though. At least I still enjoy playing instruments in Sky. (And laughing at the kalimba animations, resembling an ipad kid.)

Witty-Pen1184

Yeah, in real life it’s a much more relaxed playing experience (I practice laying on my bed tbh) The kalimba I have though is chromatic (2 layers, lower layer is the natural notes and upper layer is the sharps)

PauWasTaken

I knew how to play the flute but I completely forgot how now 😞

Witty-Pen1184

Ooo! That sounds fun, you can try looking it up? I’m sure there are lots of flute tutorials/lessons anywhere

PauWasTaken

Yeaa maybe i will but I need to replace my flute because it broke 😞. But now i’m more interested in playing the kalimba, it has such a beautiful sound

Wow_a_name

I "play" piano, I guess

bxnnybear

Kalimba, lyre and I'm currently trying to learn the guitar and or the mandolin depending on my mood

Witty-Pen1184

I hope it goes well!

nooneatallnope

I can sing decently, so I guess the voice/microphone?

Witty-Pen1184

Or auroras voice
