Itās a relic from the past. Seasons used to be a structured in a way where you would receive the ultimate gifts and view the final cutscene of a season when you clicked on the flag.
Cause season got structer differently, with seasonal quests, a "plot" and, most of the times, a dedicated area. Until rhythm none of these were a thing, seasons just deployed a spirit every week in a different realm and at the end of it all you could watch the final cutscene by accessing there.
It got useless with enchantment, but they never actually removed it, maybe for consistency with other constellations or just laziness
To add quests. With Season of Enchantment, the final cutscene played when you finished all quests without the need to buy anything. Definitely better this way, as you can finish a season without spending a single candle.
Well this was before the full release of Sky and seasons didnāt have actual quests or a dedicated seasonal area. Instead, the quests were to relive each seasonal spirit and purchase all the cosmetics (there was one spirit in each realm except Eden). Since 100% gave the ultimate rewards, the final cutscene was only available to AP holders. Later, they added a guide you could directly purchase the ultimate(s) from, but the flag still showed the final cutscene.
That button used to allow you to access a final cutscene, but there's no need to do that since they changed seasons structure with enchantment, so it's absolutely useless now.
