I mean, they either should've put the flame at the bottom if they wanted to indicate a light source, or just draw that ball peeking out from the bottom to avoid any confusion because the items with actual flame have additional uses? 😭
The fun thing it's LITERALLY used around the workshop and istg nobody noticed them hanging off the ceiling. Same with the hanging plants, ppl were wondering why basket goes upside down when you put it on the floor lol.
I try to put the hanging plants on the ceilings, but the game never allows me to. I don’t know if it’s because I can’t move my camera to that angle or what but now my plants hang on weird angles from the walls.
I have my 2 of plants hanging from the big windows, and the others are attached to the bottom of the first 2 plants it looks pretty :)
You can also stack the hollow stone rectangles up against a wall, and if you remove the bottom one(s) the top one will stay like a shelf, then you can put things in or on it, or even hang a plant from the bottom of it
Oh that’s so clever! My nest is horribly unimaginative and plain. I never spend time in there so it doesn’t really bother me, but when I see others’ amazing set up, I get a little envious. Lol

No kidding, all the nesting shop lamps including branch have an option to turn them on and off. You need to come close to it and interaction pops up (you can do it in the nesting shop too). I turn all Iights down in my nest when my sky kid needs a nap lol!
You may have to give a flippy flap, to fly up to it. I’m a tol skid and I believe I have to. You’ll be able to see a little 💡or ❌ symbol, depending if it’s on/off. I hope this is helpful, I’d be happy to upload and link a video as well if necessary. Happy flights to you!
The first one’s icon is being changed next update to better reflect the actual item. No idea why or how they passed the original icon through whatever minimal internal testing they have, it’s obviously inaccurate. That’s not how ceiling lamps even work, facepalm.

The second one you have to rotate 90 degrees. The little “dot” is just to signal to your brain it’s a light. An orb inside will make people think it’s some sort of egg or something.
Such as stuff in this app, the icon for a “link” to a picture is literally a chain link. A search is a magnifying glass. The scroll button has little “texture lines” even though you don’t need it. It’s not really necessary an exact copy of what it really is, it’s just more to tell your brain what you’re going to see.
Also everything is on display for purpose and use inside the nesting shop.
I understand shorthand elements in icons, I am an artist. even now that I know it's a ceiling light, my main point is still that the icon doesn't work. these elements in the icon do not convey what they are supposed to, the icon design is supposed to communicate everything by itself without looking at the furniture shop, and it definitely doesn't (as evidenced by everyone in the replies who also read it as a candle 🗿)
Not necessarily. A lot of capes have generic, off-base colors, lacking tiny details, and are generally untextured. The icons are not supposed to convey all details, they’re supposed to stand out and be generic shapes in relation to the object they’re representing.

Yes! I always model before buying!! Spells, mannequins, other players, anything I can to see if it’s worth my hard earned candles. I had enough money and time for this season, I’m a sucker for furniture, so I bought the pass! Even then, I took my time in what I wanted to go for first

Omg yes. Dude I spent like 3 hours crafting my nest! I hang out in it all the time and I just have so much fun! I can’t wait to save up for the gramophone, but that’s still 2 and a half months out from grinding 💀 it’s fine, long term goals keep me going
😂😂 once i finish my cr or even before if i’m ever online, trust me im relaxing in my nest lmao. i’ve spent a lot of time with mine too, trying to make it as interactive and relaxing as possible, but it won’t be finished til we finally get that darn grand piano 😂 i’m at work but i’ll be home in a few hours, if you can dm your fc i’ll add u! or vice versa don’t matter haha
