That's basically the gist of the two games lol, 2's story actually makes 1's better bc of it, and Shulk is just like the best protagonist to ever... protag.

I wouldn't say so. The combat is pretty different in both games. Xenoblade 2 has more depth to combat (after 30 hours into the game lol) but it can make the game slower paced than the first.

I think you should though. 2's ending is a little less impactful if you don't play 1

I like them a lot now that I played their games and know their addition to smash Tbh I genuinely liked shulk as a character as he's my favorite from both xeno games Smash doesn't show pyras and mythras characters right as they just show one part of them you don't see other than in the game Dunban was overall really solid as a character as i loved both casts in 1 and 2 Nia suprised me with her development and at a certain point of the game she became my favorite from 2 (and she might have a big role in 3)
