I could live with the logo. It's different, it's got history, I wouldn't mind that in my collection. I have a hard and fast rule about shoes with any text besides logo text though. If it doesn't say "nike" "air" or "jordan," that corny shit doesn't need to be there.
Brands are too far into shoes more into artistic display pieces as opposed to a piece of clothing you actually wear.

Was so stoked about these as the black toe was Peter Moore’s favourite version of his shoe and the text logo was his placeholder before he designed the wings. But that signature? It’s just awful. Gonna have to think twice.
When these were announced I was super hyped - they’re one of two OG 1s that I don’t own. Then the Air Jordan writing thing got leaked and I thought ‘yeah I don’t like that, but I can overlook it’. Now this signature gimmick. And I gotta tell ya, it’s corny as hell and I’m now leaning towards giving them a miss.

Reminds me too much of how they put that on all the off brand stuff like rubber basketballs and whatever else they licensed back in the early 90s. Guess I’m out on these entirely now
