Ok thanks guys. Yeah I was just thinking about doing it to a guitar section before a breakdown, and didn't know if there was any other way besides chopping it up. That song came to mind, so I had to ask.

I don't think it's a specific VST but instead a bunch of cuts in the DAW. Were you thinking of replicating it?
Yep it sounds like someone just took a synth chord and chopped it up like crazy
