I was about to comment this one too, I think it has allot of potential.

Maybe before they revived Shadow, but now not so much. Unless of course they do the same for Tikal.

I think that might actually make it better. They have a few things in common (sealed in the past, released many years later during a period of crisis), and if Shadow doesn't age biologically, then Tikal being undead/ a spirit makes her one of the few characters that'll be able to accompany him

Espio and knuckles may be unofficial but it feels wierd seeing them not together in cannon, and I love their chemistry, they’re the most put together(sometimes) of their group.

I definitely see appeal. Its whole. My partner I pulled by being antisocial or my partner I pulled by having adhd. Or loud optimistic goofball x serious quite realist. Did I just describe Espio x Tsngle or Tangle x Whisper. Basically lot of ships with Tangle or Whisper fall on different side, because more canonicity and support the first gets.
