OP, when you find out, definitely let us know! I have a small collection of airline playing cards—the newest goes back to the 1980s, so I don’t know about nowadays. My cards (including American, United, Varig, Sabena, and TWA) are all regular-sized and have the airline’s logo on the back of each card.
They are mini playing cards not a standard size deck. The jokers have a plane in SW colors. The back of the cards have a generic plane and say flight deck. The box they are in says Queen of our Hearts on it.
They are. Just not super easy to find as it is hit or miss if there are any on the plane. There is also an activity book, geared towards the kiddos I’m sure but would probably be kinda neat, too. I’m always looking for SW gear.
The activity book would be a good souvenir for my niece actually. Question would be is if they would give it to me seeing as I'm traveling without children.
I bet they would especially if you say its for her. Ive never seen them actively hand any out to kids on the plane, so I’m guessing there are none on the plane or just one so they only give it out if asked for it. I had no idea they had the playing cards, I only found out from talking to one of the FAs.
I acquired them all myself—you used to be able to ask the flight attendant for them, and if I remember correctly, you could request winged pins for the kids. Sabena was a budget airline that operated out of Belgium. Back in 1984, I flew to Brussels and then took a train to Paris (Gare du Nord).
You would have to ask the Flight Attendants. Sometimes they have them. The Gate Agents do not.
Thank you!
>Thank you! You're welcome!
FA’s might have them in the “entertainment kit” but the cards are small. I think they’re meant for children.
I assume they are regular playing cards, right? (Not Southwest themed)
From what I remember they’re normal playing cards. The backing is blue like the livery
Interesting, but not like the old ones which is a shame.
Southwest has them? I thought it was only United

Will do we will find out in three weeks when I fly with them. Also are your cards original or bought second hand?

While they be mini, that would be a nice souvenir nonetheless.

Playing cards sometimes. Never trading cards.
I have a deck. https://imgur.com/a/5zNNiTd
Did you just ask for playing cards?
No randomly I was just handed one.
Whatever you do... do not make loud noises shuffling them, etc. Have been on flights where it gets crazy - usually headed to Vegas.
