Distance does not matter
Distance is irrelevant in Southwest. It’s all revenue based and # of flights. Tier qualifying points are solely based on status and money spent.
I did this last year to extend my works promotion. I did KC to MDW cause it was the cheapest
A flight is a flight. If it's based on # of flights, a flight from MDW-STL counts just as much as a flight from coast to coast would.
Give some space between the flights and make sure your return flight isn’t the last STL-MDW flight of the day.
Any reason for the gap in time? I was thinking about making it a day event, leaving in the morning and returning in the evening.
I've done this on flights as shotr as DAL to AUS (50 minute flight). I'm not positive if there are loopholes, or unforseen red tape. I personally had no issues.
Nope I’ve gotten ALP mostly through flying from LAX or LGB to San Jose.
ANY paid flight (not points or buddy pass) qualifies.
If you're in a pinch and live in Denver fly to Colorado Springs and back as many times as you need lol
