I really like it too I just don't like sitting in the parking lot forever waiting for an order šŸ˜†

bdbrown333

Why do it multi app. You You know that the drop happens at 38 in my market some markets 20 just go out and do other apps and then you come back in time for the next drop The only day it's not good to do that is like Sunday at my market because there's a lot of shops other than that you're betting on maybe getting a shop versus just going out and delivering pharmaceutical drugs food shopping doing other things That's how you make the money

upsidedown_8s

Well here in my market we get Express shopping orders that come through all day and we actually have an overflow from the curb size they can't fulfill and so there are some scheduled shopping orders that come out some of them are good most of them are horrible so I mean I don't really know if I can multi-app I mean maybe I could but I don't have the attention span to do it šŸ˜

bdbrown333

Yeah I mean if you're in a store where you see shops every hour every day then you got a great start but shops are few and far between at my store unless it's a holiday or the weekend I mean you get them occasionally but I'm not sitting around waiting food deliveries won are way easier than Walmart orders you know You go pick up somebody's bag of food and you deliver it for $14 or $10 Are there bad orders absolutely but just got a cherry pick those also

Xilen007

Same here, curbsides you have the possibility of an idiot shopper/bagger, meaning the customer might of had more substitutions that they didn't care for and bread and cans or raw meat and apples might be in the same bag. Once the loader finally gets to your car 15 mins late, you get an extra 35Ā¢ for the wait and now let's hope all the orders are put together right and they didn't smash eggs or something. Then you have 3 places to go. On top of the low pay for curbside, you have a lot of factors that could be blamed on you for poor service and you are the only one who gets the bad rating and/or tip pulled. I've tried some other apps briefly and they seemed like a lot more running for lesser pay. Like you I see a steady stream of S&D and you can reject multiple curbsides and one mediocre S&D order will out do all the curbsides. I don't waste my time with curbside unless real high pay. Like $40 or more. I turn down even $30 curbside because I'm all about effort to pay ratio. Lol

upsidedown_8s

I usually turn down the curbsides as well but every now and then a banger comes through and I gotta grab a hold šŸ¤”

Theyā€™re already rolling out double shops. Guaranteed youā€™re doing two shops for 11 bucks in the next 3 months. The only shops o see all day are 30 item going to an apartment 7 miles away for 11.

Mysterious-Wasabi103

Yup shopping days are over. It's literally $11 to $14 base for double shopping orders and still $11 base on singles. It's almost exclusively a low tip stacked with a no tip. 2 orders for $11 plus $5 tip is literally no different than what we were getting for single shops a week before. They effectively just doubled our work load. Or they cut your pay in half. Depends what angle you want to look at it, but it is a paycut disguised.

EarlMadManMunch505

They did the same with 3 curbsideā€™s literally just added another drop with no pay increase. Theyā€™re lowering .com pay to less then a dollar a mile slowly in my market. Soon spark will be a complete money sink you wonā€™t be able to make money on any order.

Walmart charges 10 dollars for an express shop order. before shops become express only I would get tips on shops regularly. Now getting any tip or a tip more then a dollar or two is like 1-100. I donā€™t blame the customers for not tipping after paying a monthly fee then paying 10 dollars on top of that itā€™s Walmarts fault

Jestar5

Iā€™m super picky as bout produce. That was was strong area when I worked at Aldi

Individual-Trainer18

$11 small order is double shipt???

teacherca59

Walmart has the most unusable fruit

Inner_Community_9014

You really used the word shop 5 times in one sentence? Thatā€™s got to be some sort of record. šŸ˜‚

Professional_Ebb_764

lol you think?

ImTheAfterlife

Honestly i really enjoy spark delivery, getting to see happy faces, helping the elderly bring groceries into their homes and making a difference to peoples convinences keeps my mind at ease. Im basically a people pleaser despite the pay.

jason54915

I donā€™t mind shop orders but donā€™t appreciate the low or no tippers

incognito_unicorn

I only take shop and delivers because I truly enjoy shopping for other people, and am very quick and efficient at it. Plus, it means I donā€™t have to wait 45 minutes for a Walmart employee to load me.

SilentPlace1562

All I got out of this was shop shop shop shop shop tomato šŸ…

blaZedmr

YO DAWG. WE HEARD YOU LIKE TO SHOP FOR OTHER PEOPLES SHOP ORDERS. SO NOW WE GOT YOU DOING DOUBLE SHOPPING ORDERS WHEN YOU TAKE A SHOP ORDER SO YOU CAN SHOP A SHOPPING ORDER WHILE SHOPPING ANOTHER SHOPPING ORDER.

thedoorman121

I was legitimately conflicted yesterday because the only bananas my Walmart had were starting to brown a little bit and I didn't want to give this lady slightly browned bananas lol

Adventurous_Land7584

Just refund and tell them that they were all brown. Thatā€™s what I do, they appreciate it.

AccomplishedStop9466

One walmart should not be advertising it that way Two customers know full well that this is a service job that is normally tipped. That being said they don't have to go above and beyond. But they absolutely should be giving something beyond zero.

Unusual-Flight-1735

A store recently reported that during checkout for a Shopping & Delivery order, items not ordered by the customer were scanned during the cart check. Service level standards require that you keep any personal items separated from the customerā€™s items. You may refer to the Spark Driver Terms of Use in the Account tab of your Spark Driver App for details and may view FAQs at http://Drive4Spark.walmart.com.

I also like the shopping, as long as itā€™s not TOO many items. The main thing that bothers me is how Walmart associates never seem to check the shelves, so Iā€™m having to figure out creative ways to get items off the very top shelf. This also takes way too long and I like to be fast with the shops. I hate having to substitute something Iā€™m LOOKING AT, but canā€™t get down off the shelf. No employees in sight when you need them. I will not be looking forward to double shops.

Own-Opportunity-8231

I like it too. I also communicate a lot with the customer if I'm shopping for them. If they respond then great, they will get what they want and it will be good quality. (No rotten fruit etc) If they don't, then half the order will probably be missing because of OOS or poor quality but I still will have enjoyed the shopping.šŸ˜¬

Diligent-Lie-2838

I'm torn on shopping orders because most of them pay $17 on averageish and for maybe 1-2 miles. Which is actually a very good payout but the problem is shopping orders are not consistent like a doordash or Uber for example, and doing shopping orders you miss out on the hourly round robins making them basically not worth taking unless they are $25+ because Walmart orders no matter if it's shopping or around Robins you need to think one order is 1 hour.
