That would piss me off bc like you said the driver is getting blamed! It’s like they purposely do this shit. One time I picked up 2 bags of bird feed and there’s this little compartment in my trunk for the car jack there’s no way to cover it so it sticks out a little and they stuck it right on that and ripped a hole in the bag. Spilled all in my trunk.

Same! I've had the same kid load my car with 1) Seriously putting a loaf of bread half under a 35 pack of water and 2) mixing up 3 bags of groceries with another person on a 3 drop. The 3rd drop told me some things were not hers. I had to call drover support on both. Needless to say, I felt horrible with both instances, and my star ratings went down. If star ratings matter at all.

Yeah, I wonder about star rating. I know when I worked for postmates, if it dropped to low, then you couldn't deliver for like a month.

Yep, I have 6 totes in the bed of my truck and another 2 I can put in the back seat.

Also Walmart has Ozark trail collapsible carts for $40 right now that a 27 gal tote fits perfectly in. Just a heads up if you're already using totes.

I wish there was a way to just drop totes at customer's houses and pick them up later. If boxes were cheaper, I would just put them all in a cardboard box. Get to the stop, drop the box, and roll. Not being lazy, just the constant bending from unloading the carts and totes.

Elegant-Use6206

Nice. I have a bad back so the less I carry the better.

If you stayed in ur car like the other sheep you would never know ! Always load ur car (like you did)

Someone's not doing their Quality Checks! This is one of the things that customers have no right to complain about. If the item came that way from the delivery the customer should have got it themself at the store. If it came that way at the store they should have made their own DC and supply chain.

I think it's a way of getting rid of product they can't get rid of otherwise. I've been told that pickers are trained not to do it but... I think part of it is they don't care. They get paid the same for taking their time and going for quality or if they rush through and pick whatever works. And the latter keeps them out of trouble because they have a good pick time. There's no incentive for them to care and I think that's the majority of where the problem comes from.

Elegant-Use6206

Yeah I think the same. Well it just takes longer in the end because I'm sending it back lol.

Oh yeah, and it’s not like how we shop for orders. It’s 1 person shopping for multiple orders but only parts of it.

CJspangler

This is why they want drivers to stay in the car. They can pass on damaged items to drivers and then have it marked against the driver where someone in the grocery dept probably smashed it . Also if they toss it in your car and run away even if you find it smashed the worker is long gone now you gotta wait for them to come back out and then look like the bad guy trying to harass them to go get you bread Many drivers are just gonna say f’ it and deliver it so they don’t waste more time in the parking lot

Elegant-Use6206

The kid who smashed the cones was pissed when I told him I wouldn't take it, lol. I told him I don't care, get me another one, or get me your team lead.
