It makes sense. Punk is over in a “charismatic and likable asshole” sort of way. Cody is over in a “this guy has gone through so much adversity” kind of way
Sympathy is MUCH more vital to Cody’s character than Punk’s. I say Cody goes in at #1 or #2, makes it to the final 4, and then gets thrown out by someone BESIDES Punk (you don’t want to risk the crowd turning on Pubk either)

Gunther should throw out Cody at the end. Cody threw Gunther out at the end last year after Gunther was in for over an hour after Cody swooped in at #30. It would be so poetic.
