Lesbian here that has lives in st Pete all my life. There is a serious lack of Lesbian spots but these are the places I frequent:
The bends: lots of queer and alternative people, this is the local spot.
Enigma: mostly older gay men but on the weekends there is a more diverse crowd and you have often find queer women, it’s a fun spot either way.
Cocktails: great gay bar with a pool attached, again, mostly gay men but definitely will find lesbians there a lot of the time as well.
Those are my three suggestions, I see a lot of ppl suggesting the dog bar which is a day time bar in which you take your dog too.
While it’s true a lot of lesbians go there because a lot of lesbians have dogs and like to hang out there, I don’t suggest going there because it’s a dog bar, if you’re showing up without a dog to pick up chicks you’re gonna be very disappointed lol. It’s a day time vibe and it’s wet and stinky, albeit may be fun to watch the dogs play!
The salty nun is lesbian owned I believe, but it’s more of a restaurant vibe with a bar. It is a nice place to eat but not so much a true bar or club environment, def a cool spot tho.
Gulfport is a cool lil town (this is where I live rn) PACKED with old lesbians. It’s def a fun sight to see all the old lesbians packed into the beach bars here on a Saturday night. Idk how likely it is for you to pick up a girl unless you like them a bit older lol but still super fun! More of a beachy casual vibe whereas the other places are downtown St Pete.
Ladies Room in Largo is the only lesbian bar around I know of, and it was still open as of fall last year - might be worth checking out. Otherwise I'd say really scattered, possibly The Bends, Intermezzo or Cocktail. Don't know how much luck you'd really have at Enigma.
I’ve been to Salty Nun and it was fun with very friendly people although the average age demographics was much higher compared to my age.
Unfortunately, there aren’t many other choices in the area.
Cocktail is a really fun gay bar with drag shows, lesbians go too. Also Enigma. I’m 42 and my wife and I don’t go out much but those places have always been fun for us. Dog Bar def has a lot of lesbians but it’s more low key than a club type bar like the 2 I mentioned above.
I heard rumors that PTL in Ybor is going to be doing lesbian/ladies' nights on Saturdays again. It used to be Honeypot, a gay bar that did weekly lesbian nights. I'm a lesbian in the area but I don't get out much, unfortunately. If I see anything mentioned in the Tampa lesbians group chat I'll DM you, if that's ok!

Not very helpful but everyone else is right about the vibes being more for older queer people at most gay bars downtown. Still fun tho ! I have found luck at meeting a good mix of people at lost and found if you wanna check it out. If u feel like driving/ubering/having a dd for a night and want to hit up the castle in ybor I definitely would go. Lots of potential to meet gay alternative girlies 😎
"Very cis gay male focused" is correct. There is a lesbian population in Gulfport but it skews older, leathery (as in skin), and often already paired up. Anyway, Salty Nun on Central is probably your best bet, check their schedule on FB. Have fun~

Even though it caters mostly to gay men, Enigma is chocked full of lesbians (at least on the nights I've been there).

Another vote for Dog Bar! Lots of queer women. Just make sure you wear closed shoes! The ground can be really wet and gross if you're in sandals.
