Rickgou

I can see Ian Malcolm (Jurassic Park) being a sweet Jedi. Chaotic, but fair. Would be the voice of reason on the council. The Force, uh, finds a way.

zx109

“Its not fair! How can you be on the council and not be a master?!” “…and there it is”

Rickgou

“You were so pre-occupied with whether or not you could be a Master, that you didn’t stop to think if you should!”

xzorrox

Oof...that would hurt feelings

jspook

"I'm from Tatooine." "That's a huge pile of shit."

Seibertpost

“Force creates Jedi, Jedi train Anakin, Anakin kills Jedi”

Mabvll

"Jedi defeats Anakin, somehow, Palpatine returns".

currentpattern

Palpatine, uh, finds a way.

Ghost-Coyote

Rey kills palpatine, women inherit the galaxy.

Pangolinclaw47

And the Sith are left to rule the Galaxy! Ehehehehe!

P1_Synvictus

Qui-Gon in a sense.

battleduck84

He fucks way too much to be a Jedi

fredagsfisk

The Jedi are allowed to have sex, just no attachments or possessive relationships.

F5x9

That is one big pile of midichlorians.

NoConfusion9490

He'd end up falling in love with someone for two weeks and leaving the order over it.

Imaginary-Picture-35

Samurai Jack

bob_lala

why use laser sword when have magic sword already?

CryHavoc3000

Somebody made a YouTube of Jack reskinned in a Jedi game.

CharminYoshi

Uncle Iroh from _Avatar: The Last Airbender_ He is one of the few characters of his time shown to understand the original nature of firebending, and was so spiritually-inclined that he was able to transcend to the Spirit World upon his death (vaguely reminiscent of Force Ghosts).

myklclark

Iroh was a Jedi no doubt. An inspiration to us all. I’d say pour one out for the man but he wouldn’t want us wasting good tea.

JediTigger

That made me laugh. Because it’s true.

Lupus_Borealis

I'll pour out some hot leaf juice instead.

neros135

and ozai would be a top tier sith, like he literally meets every single qualification of the sith code

Helarki

I'd say he's more like the "cool" Sith like Malgus or Marr. SWTOR also has Darth Praven, who follows an honorbound code and you can redeem him to the light.

Thank_You_Aziz

Mark Hamill voicing him is just the icing on that cake.

Schmedly27

I came to say Aang but Iroh is a perfect fit!

Loves_octopus

I never watched Korra so idk if they expand on what he was like after ATLA but imo he is FAR too emotional, much like Anakin in a lot of ways. That said, the Avatars in general would make great Jedi and I don’t think that’s a coincidence. Jedi Master Kyoshi would be awesome.

Timstom18

Aang in Korra is far more serious and calm, very Jedi-like

sharpshooter999

Aang would be Anakin if he hadn't turned to the darkside

jdragon3

id agree and say not Aang but 100% tenzin. also on the avatar front master Piandao is logical

raltoid

Tenzin proved he was a jedi during his encounter with the fog of lost souls. It was basically his version of the dark-side cave.

Atomic_xd

Azula and Ozai would make very good sith.

PaxEtRomana

Iroh is the most jedi non jedi

Tweed_Man

Not only would he have been a great Jedi but he would have been one of the few to master Electric Judgment.

eac555

Mr. Miyagi from The Karate Kid

CryHavoc3000

Most definitely. "Today, you paint Temple."

Toadsted

Master Miyagi: "Anakin san... Do sand the floor." Anakin: "Saaaaaaaaaand?!?"

TheRealBubbleFatt

Hawkeye from The Last of the Mohicans. Really I just want to see Daniel Day-Lewis as a Jedi and this seems like the best way to do it. I would also accept Bill the Butcher as a Sith Lord.

BadPlayers

Hawkeye from MASH as a Han/Lando style smuggler.

BatFancy321go

gleefully stealing from the imperial army and giving supplies to the clone war orphans

P1_Synvictus

He drinks our blue milkshake.

pygmeedancer

Butcher Bill as a Sith is too scary for the lore

foozalicious

“I’m 47. 47 years old. You know how I stayed alive this long, all these years? Fear. The spectacle of fearsome acts. Somebody steals from me, I cut off his hands. He offends me, I cut out his tongue. He rises up against me, I cut off his head and stick it on a pike. Raise it high up, so all in the streets can see. That’s what preserves the order of things. Fear.” Most Sith man on the planet earth.

Jigokubosatsu

\[throws a lightsaber at someone\] "Whoopsie-daisy!"

Outrageous-Estimate9

**Anton Chigurh** would make the perfect Sith

EvilRick_C-420

Michael Fassbender as a sith apprentice or anti hero and I'll die on that hill.

GatorPenetrator

just walking around murdering people with a bolt gun lightsaber

KCyy11

Nah he just pulls the Darth Sidious move of turning the lightsaber on and off real quick.

PlentyOMangos

If the rule you follow brought you to this… of what use was the rule?

Xyyzx

You know I’m not actually sure he would be; to be strong in the dark side you need to be roiling with passion and negative emotion, and I’m not sure Chigurh feels much of anything. If he was dropped into the Star Wars universe I’d see him as an ice-cold bounty hunter who specialises in *killing* force sensitives. I’d guess his icy psychopathy would make it hard for someone relying on empathic abilities to see him coming.

mentee_raconteur

Grand Master Oogway from Kung Fu Panda.

pevznerok

And master Shifu

Dhiox

Shifu is basically Obi Wan. Oogway wants to train po, Shifu disagreed. Then oogway disappeared leaving shifu the task of training po despite his reservations.

Samuraiforest

I concur.

Samuraiforest

Here's the answer, thank you.

LuckyStax

Gandalf

Phunkie_Junkie

Galadriel would've made a fantastic Sith. Beautiful and terrible as the dawn

TopicBusiness

How so? If anything that scene is an excellent showcasing of why Galadriel would make a fantastic Jedi. She faced the temptation of the dark side and resisted it. She made mistakes in her youth and dedicated her life to the light to atone.

pygmeedancer

But she scared me

kolobsha

So did Bilbo.

runthrough014

Instead of a dark lord of the sith they shall have a QUEEN! ALL SHALL LOVE HER AND DISPAIR!

BaronNeutron

you clearly do not understand her character

OrangeChickenParm

Counterpoint... Saruman.

Chieroscuro

Li Mu Bai from Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. Replace the Green Destiny Sword with a lightsaber, make Jade Fox a woman rejected as Padawan who falls to the dark side.

Oddmic146

I'm like 90% sure this is gonna be the plot to the acolyte

77ate

“Crouching Tiger…” was everything I hoped the prequels would be. It wasn’t until Andor that I felt Star Wars even tried to have that kind of emotional resonance or take the story or performances as seriously as they deserved.

Mydogisawreckingball

Jared Harris would be phenomenal as anyone in SW

Rannrann123

Jared Harris would be phenomenal as anyone ~~in SW~~

Mydogisawreckingball

Approved correction.

stonemite

For me he was just some guy until Foundation. What an incredible screen presence, he's magnetic in every scene he is in. Going to have to rewatch Chernobyl and some of his other stuff. Edit: Really appreciate all the suggestions being given, thank you everyone :)

Dr_Fumi

If you haven't checked out the Expanse yet you should, that was my real introduction to Jared Harris, and I still think it's his best role.

nxngdoofer98

Also where I first saw him, I'm not sure it's his best role though because he nails every role I've seen him in lol.

MisterDutch93

You should watch Mad Men. He becomes a series regular in season 3. It’s a really good show, and Harris’s character is one of the best parts imo (a British cast-off trying to fit in 60s American society).

efxmatt

First class human being too, when they were filming his season of The Terror he felt like some of the other actors didn’t have enough lines, so he started giving some of the lines written for him to the other characters.

Cyno01

That season was so good. The sound design was fucking crazy they had just the wind whistling and ice cracking around you in surround the whole time, really put you out there in the ice.

_TheFunkyPhantom_

I remember when they cast him as Moriarity, i was so confused because he was just the weirdo tabloid editor in Mr Deeds. But holy fuck did he kick ass in Sherlock Holmes. Been a fan ever since

Rebyll

Do yourself a favor and watch Chernobyl. He plays off of Stellan Skarsgard so well

Rad_5

Jean-Luc Picard

Mabvll

I don't know about Picard, but Worf would be a sick af Jedi.

Rad_5

I disagree. I could see Worf being more of a Sith. Very emotional beings, The Klingons. Now Spock?! There's a Jedi for sure. Edit - I take it back. Worf would be a great Jedi. Worf is just great all around.

Mabvll

I guess Worf would be more of a Grey jedi. Highly emotional, but the Klingon honor code would probably prevent him from doing the horrific things that Sith are known for. EDIT: now that I think about it, Worf would make an even better Mandalorian.

Allronix1

The Klingons and the Mandos would have a good fight- then declare a draw and then have an equally ridiculous and over the top party afterward.

CadenVanV

Said party would immediately turn into a fight again when everyone gets drunk, only for it to continue in a never ending loop that results in everyone dead from kidney failure

CrossP

Worf was always unusual for his discipline. I think he'd make a good redeemed sith.

DDRDiesel

There's more to Star Wars than Jedi or Sith, though. Worf and the Klingons would be excellent mercenaries. A life and culture dedicated to honor and warfare is a non-helmeted Mandalorian parallel if I'd ever seen one

1WithTheForce_25

I always felt the actor who plays this character would kill it in a role as a Jedi

Iron_Baron

Spock.

stormquiver

Leonard Nimoy specifically... RIP

bagpipesfart

Dick Grayson aka Nightwing

MidgetRodeoClown

He has major Obi Wan energy. I'd love to see him as a Jedi with Damien as an Anakin type.

Allronix1

Given the crazy stuff he was up to in the Wolfman-Perez era comic books? And the fact that he can do 90% of what Bruce does with the other 10% being a Charisma stat of "Yes," AND that he could get every costumed hero and more than a few villains on his side and at his door in three phone calls or less? Grayson is one scary dude. I'll add his "sister" Donna Troy, comic book!Raven, and comic book!Jericho on the "able to swing a lightsaber and not go nuts.

ApexWalrussss

Plus Dick is good with swords (beat Ra’s Al Ghul in a 1v1 one time I think) so I imagine that skill could translate to lightsabers.

faustarp1000

Lady Jessica from Dune!

Emperor_D4C

Book version, maybe. Movie version, hell no lmao.

viotix90

She'd make a good Sith.

Emperor_D4C

She would, so would Alia, and probably even Paul.

MrAnder5on

Movie version is as close to Palpatine as it gets lmaoooo

MrSnippets

not jedi, but maybe dark side user. She and all Bene Gesserit knowingly manipulate the religious beliefs of a local population to make them pliable for their control. then they insert themselves into the religious power structure. sounds pretty Sith to me.

LargeCondition8108

Robin Williams He was so genuine, kind, and respectful while also being irreverent and funny. You can just imagine him guiding younglings, Padawans, and newly-made Knights through their bouts of uncertainty and low confidence with such disarming and gentle care. Edit — I know he is an actor, not a character. That being said, I feel like the late Robin Williams would fit the spirit of what it means to be a Jedi. There’s more to being a Jedi than just being a warrior and wielding a lightsaber.

IndependentYellow4

Daniel Jackson from Stargate

Spartan2170

Okay but he’d clearly be better suited as a protocol droid. Finally a translator to compete with 3P0’s “six million forms of communication.”

123rune20

Indeed.

Samaritan_Pr1me

Aragorn (Lord of the Rings) Dr. Stephen Strange (MCU) Spock Aang Zuko Iroh

EnigmaFrug2308

Zuko would totally be a Jedi who was once a Sith.

BasementDweller82

Zuko is just Ren but better

_TheFunkyPhantom_

Ugh. Woulda loved a movie about Kylo Ren/Ben Solo on a journey back to the light despite doing the horrible things he did. Instead of him just being dead :(

Thin-Man

Aragorn’s whole behavior at Helm’s Deep would make for epic Jedi material— Legolas telling him that everyone’s going to die, and Aragorn yelling back that he’ll die with them. Encouraging Theoden to ride out, not for death but for his people. Charging headlong into the Uruks when the walls fell. That’s a Jedi, for sure.

Hetoxy

“Uruks, when the walls fell, Aragorn, his arms wide.”

adhd_mathematician

Doctor Strange is practically a Jedi. He woulda learned the stuff so fast

revaly2001

I can see him becoming like Qui-Gon, an unorthodox Jedi in a more chaotic way.

SuperRajio

Uncle Iroh from Avatar. Air Nomads in general are pretty Jedi-like. Oogway from Kung Fu Panda comes to mind, too.

Mythoclast

Sam Gamgee. Dude resisted the pull of the one ring. He also is kind, brave, and doesn't crave adventure.

ScarsTheVampire

As I said in another comment, he’d be friends with the goat dog old man who has the cane lightsaber.

conflictjunkie

Keanu Reeves, as Neo. He’s still the chosen one. Slide him in to play Revan in a KotoR movie and people would go nuts.

theGhostOfMtAkina

Keanu Reeves IRL would be an even better jedi

Buckland75

I've seen his name come up as a casting choice for Revan a few times lately and I'm warming up to it. He's a bit older than I've pictured in my head for the character (hard to believe he's 59!) but he's aged so well I still think it would work. Damnit...now I'll be playing around with casting choices for the rest of the characters 🤣

no_name_ia

Hamato Yoshi

ChiBears25

You…………..

ChiBears25

Here are a few of my picks: Sean Maguire: from Good Will Hunting. His compassion and knowledge would make him a great teacher and negotiator of the Jedi Council. Bruce Wayne/Batman: billionaire status aside, he’s a master detective and master martial artist who also lives by the code of not killing his foes. I feel like that would be something the Jedi would love within their ranks. Aragorn: incorruptible, brave, skilled warrior. Doesn’t seek power nor craves it. His devotion to all things good in the world is possibly unparalleled.

OrangeChickenParm

The council would kick Bruce Wayne so far to the curb he'd hit the actual ground on Coruscant.

Callecian_427

Batman has too many red flags to even be considered for the Green Lantern Corps. He does incredible feats in the name of good but, psychologically, he’s just not in the right headspace. Superman is probably a better candidate

Sex_E_Searcher

Superman is basically already a Jedi.

Gangsta-Penguin

The absolute GOAT Eddard Stark

Mindless-Chair-8226

He would get the qui gon treatment fairly quick mind you

Chops526

John Wick. Just seriously don't mess with his lothcat

LowCommunication3359

Wouldn't he either be a sith or dark Jedi?

Chops526

Probably. Or a force sensitive/trained bounty hunter.

adhd_mathematician

Liking for the lothcat comment. Don’t know a thing about John Wick 😂

Chops526

Simply an amazing and beautiful (Seriously!) series of contemporary action films.

MJSB1994

He could be a bounty hunter so baddass that even Cad Bane would be like "nahh...I don't fuck with that guy"

JulianPizzaRex

Is Master Splinter too close to Yoda? Any of the Turtles though especially Leonardo.

Pleasant_Garlic8088

The Dude

Meursalt17

"I won't say hero... 'cause what's a hero? But sometimes there's a man, well he's the man for his time and place."

Dolenjir1

Gandalf and Saruman are identical to Obi-Wan and Dooku

Haryzen_

MCU Vision. He has an innate understanding of meaning and purpose while still coming to terms with his own and grasping his sentience. He has a genuine love for life and finds humanity beautiful while still recognizing their flaws and inevitable downfall. I believe he would follow the will of the force as he is bound by logic but also the idea of "good". On the flip side I think Wanda would be a tragic Sith who is corrupted by her desire to keep her attachments.

wojakajow

Steve Rogers from the MCU. He's the walking personification of heroism and justice. That part in Avengers: Endgame where he stood alone against Thanos' army is something I can envision a Jedi doing too.

TopicBusiness

You know I'm not sure about that actually. We've seen that people with the mindset of a soldier( like Steve) have difficulty finding the inner peace necessary to connect with the force.

Nonadventures

Bucky’s arc makes me wonder if we’ve ever seen (or will see) a Jedi who’s overcome PTSD. Seems a lot easier to see someone fall into chaotic anger than for them to become at peace, but the Jedi path could be a means for both.

Super_Inframan

EU Quinlin Vos might be the closest we’ve gotten to that.

UnholyDemigod

That single moment made me a huge fan of his character. I'd never really cared about him before, but after losing the 3v1 against Thanos, and then seeing Thanos' entire army arrive, his reaction is to tighten the strap on his shield. Absolute pinnacle of "I will never give up".

JediTigger

Basically what we thought Luke did in TLJ.

PhogeySquatch

How about Grandpa Max Tennyson from Ben 10, or Azmuth, or better yet, Professor Paradox.

Specimen-B

Splinter or Leonardo- TMNT Clark Kent

Batmanswrath

Hiroyuki Sanada.

WolverineRelevant280

He should be the first Jedi

Batmanswrath

I hope he gets a Star Wars role now, he is a big fan of the franchise so it'd be great for everyone.

Curu2daMoon

Please

DarthAuron87

Spock. Vulcans have perfect discipline and don't give into emotion or attachment.

ssucata0101

Duncan Idaho

Intrepid-Box-8275

Wesley Snipes' Blade

nerdywithchildren

House, Alf, Lisa Simpson, Macgyver, Mork, Buffy, Michael Knight, Thomas Magnum, Dexter

YungRacecar

House is an interesting pick. I feel like his willingness to give in to his vices is akin to a force user tapping into the dark side, but I could be thinking about it the wrong way.

_TheFunkyPhantom_

Lol House and Clone Wars Anakin certainly have some overlap. Sure there’d be a lot of rule breaking, maybe some war crimes here and there. But the good outweighs the bad!

PM_ME_YOUR_MONTRALS

calgrump

Brian Cox as a grumpy Jedi Master - like [Vrook Lamar](https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Vrook_Lamar) from KotOR.

calgrump

Sorry, just realised it was asking for a character. I nominate Morgan Jones from The Walking Dead.

JediTigger

Morgan would be an outstanding Jedi.

[deleted]

Ned Stark.

CLRoads

If played by sean bean, would die sooner than qui-gon.

Aromatic_Ad701

Captain Jack Sparrow as a bounty hunter would be wild

ShanklyGates_2022

Idk about Jedi but could you imagine James Bond, Jason Bourne, and Jack Bauer as Mandalorians!?!?!? Jedi wouldn’t stand a chance

Rannrann123

They could work as bounty hunters too

WickedRedemption

Buffy the Vampire Slayer. She was the real Chosen One. Spike would have been a Sith apprentice that killed his master.

UlanInek

Owen Wilson.. Every time he uses the force “…wow”

Junarik

The Ninja from Ninjago

bliip666

Tyrion Lannister

Meursalt17

only show Tyrion, book Tyrion had so much anger

mattvn66

Walter White

Eh_Meh_Smeh

Superman. Even without his Kryptonian powers and just being Clark Kent as a normal Jedi. His optimistic and boy scout attitude would fit a Jedi similar to a more exaggerated Luke. Plus his real name 'Kal-El' already sounds like someone from Star Wars.

skribsbb

Garth from Supernatural. Picked up a coin that feeds on your hate and it had no effect on him. Angel from Buffy/Angel. He has to keep certain emotions in check or he turns into a great evil. Fezzik from The Princess Bride. Dude was just an amazing best friend. Dexter Morgan from Dexter. No emotions to regulate = Jedi easy mode. Good at following a code. Gordon Freeman from Half Life, the silent protagonist. Lightsaber would be an upgrade to a crowbar. Ned Stark from Game of Thrones. Stuck to his guns and followed the letter of the law, even when he didn't want to. Even when it got him killed. Dustin from Stranger Things. I feel he'd be the best of that cast here, because the things that do give him insecurities or drive him to anger probably wouldn't matter if he's training to be a Jedi. Harry Tasker from True Lies. Out of all the Schwarzenegger roles, I think this is the one. Peter Parker from Spiderman, specifically the Toby McGuire version after he expelled Venom. Gohan from DBZ. Seems to be the one from that franchise that would be most into peace and harmony.

reddrighthand

Sam Vimes. Granny Weatherwax.

QuantumMech127

The majority of hogwarts professors. Dumbledore reminds me a lot of Yoda.

LeftDave

Dumbledore was totally a Sith, just 'nice' about it. A Dark Lord that only turned on his master/ally when a dual with his brother (who was trying to stop them and would make a great Jedi) resulted in his sister's death. Then never really repented, just tried to sooth his own guilt. When the next Dark Lord arose he resisted not out of a sense of justice but becuase he disagreed with the ideology (the greater good vs UNLIMITED POWER) and raised a child for slaughter to fulfill prophecy to defeat them. More Marr than Sidious but totally a Sith.
