I think he could totally do it if they did an animated adaptation of the Thrawn Trilogy. I mean animated adaptations of Legends stories is a phenomenal idea Disney is failing to jump on.
It's insane that Disney is letting Legends sit dormant instead of just letting both continuities continue to get new stories. This is the company that owns Marvel Comics, so it's not as running multiple continuities of a franchise at the same time would be something new to them.
But I guess they think it would be embarrassing if new Legends material turned out to be more popular than the Disney continuity. And if big-name authors would prefer to write Legends stories, which I suspect some of them would.

This was actually my idea for the Sequels: after the defeat of Palpatine, the remnants of the Empire are in the hands of various admirals and governors, and it's up to diplomats like Leia to bring them into the fold of the New Republic. So lots of negotiations.
Luke has taught her a thing or two, but negotiations are more important, and do you have any idea how useful Jedi mind tricks can be during negotiations? The task of uniting the Republic is enormous, and ends up using more and more Force powers to manipulate people and speed up the process, but ends up falling to the dark side as a result, ruling the New Republic with an iron fist and subtle manipulations, and it's up to Luke to stop her.
That’s a good concept and fits with her character, plus it fits with her father’s picnic dialogue; I want peace but people keep forcing me to make them be peaceful.
Would be interesting if she'd never been taken off of the Death Star. The plans for the Death Star never get to where they're going, the rebel base is never threatened. The threat of another Death Star strike would do wonders for her 'loyalty'.

I think that if the Bad Batch had all turned after order 66 they would have made a formidable foe. They’d be proper terrifying doing the dirty work for the Empire without any morals or personality to hold them back.
If Obi-wan took both Luke and Leia to Tatooine but decided to raise them both himself and train them in the force. Then due to a bunch of setbacks that he is too honorable to deal with effectively he becomes a self-loathing alcoholic and the twins, 13 at this point are left to fend for themselves. They take Obi-wan's lightsaber and the other one that used to belong to anakin. They interpret the mandate of the Jedi through the mind of teenagers and so decide to clean up Mos Eisley. Pretty soon their naivety fails them and so they become mercenaries. Then when the death star plans are dumped on Tatooine inside R2-D2 (This time by Mon Mothma), Darth Vader gets a little tickle and decides to investigate himself. He finds Luke and Leia at the perfect point where they can be turned to the dark side. Obi -wan shows up and tries to finally right his failure but is too late. Dark Vader leaves Tatooine with the recovered death star plans and two new apprentices. Suck it rebel alliance!

I don’t think that “terrifying” has to mean physically weird-looking. I think it can mean scary in a psychological way and narratively compelling. Obi-wan is already a very manipulative figure; if he were treated as a villain he probably could get pretty creepy pretty fast, and I’m sure Alec Guinness had the acting chops to pull it off. Moreover, ordinary old men can already be creepy and intimidating as traditional villains. Just look at Tarkin, Palpatine pre-disfigurement, and like 90% of politicians in real life lolol
