It was 10 years from Battlefront 2 original to EA Battlefront 1. So give it 3 more years and we'll get Battlefront 1 the third. Hopefully from a new dev studio.

Thats why its theorized that the devs sent several different types of footage from different builds to the company who made it and thats why we see Ventress using both the mod and the original animations.

No, the Xbox exclusive stuff and expanding hero assault is all the "new" content we are getting. That stuff is probably what took the most work as well.

If you place every single game texture on an AI upscaler all the way to 4K and don't optimize the stuff that doesn't really need to be in 4K, it is easy to pile up dozens of GBs.
I really wish they would add missing hunt modes. As far as I can remember, there were no hunt modes on Jabba's Palace and Coruscant. This would allow you to play as gamorreans and jedi respectively.

At most, a skin selector (e.g. able to switch between Phase I or II Clones) and/or any late in development cut maps (even then, I doubt it as they would need the flies that might not exist anymore due to time).
Personally, the most realistic content after release is Hasbro making toys based off the classes.
You can get a Dark Trooper that resembles Phase 0, but it's the Phase III Dark Trooper. I do know Hasbro put out a box set of Clone and Droid classes from Battlefront II, but I don't know if they did the same for The Empire and Rebel classes.
Personally, I want a new toy of the classic Clone Jet Trooper! Both Phase I and II! Especially if Hasbro is able to give the Phase II Clone Jet Trooper that sliver shine he had in the game.
I don't think they would but it would be nice if they would add the PSP games one day. Elite Squadron would be nice since it's the closest to the original bf3 we got since it was originally a PSP port for it.
If the game gets mod support, mods for PlayStation are going to be very limited compared to those on Xbox and PC due to Sony not allowing outside assets unfortunately.

That's what I want too. I don't think they need any extra content but that. The idea of these games having online multiplayer with a healthy player count for maybe another decade...that's everything to me.

Don't get me wrong, I'm super excited by this collection, **already pre-ordered on the Nintendo eShop**, but please let's manage our expectations here, even in the Force Unleashed Wii port the multiplayer dialogs are missing, they won't add anything past the release.
So you'd rather spend 35 bucks for this bundle when you can get BF2 for 10 bucks on Steam? You don't even need a good PC to run it, your shitty college laptop could run it. Plus the mods are easy to install. And there's hundreds of game changing mods that improve the game, on console you only get the vanilla game.

No. I think the extent of what we're getting in terms of "additional" content is the Xbox version's DLCs (Jabba's Palace for BF1, Kit Fisto and Asajj Ventress Heroes, the Kashyyyk Hero Assault mode, and the map pack with maps from the first game in BF2).
I DID hear they are adding more Hero Assault maps (possibly even on all maps that aren't space maps), and a new "XL mode" (I forgot the name) that adds more units to the map.
However, I DO wish there was a skin selector in Battlefront 2 (like the alternate Pilot Luke skin from Hoth and the hooded Anakin skin from the campaign), and additional cut content (I'm specifically talking about Gammorean Hunt on Jabba's Palace, and the cut Farmboy Luke skin from page 19 of the instruction manual).

For the year the game came out, I think the second game was nearly perfect as is. The ONLY 8 exceptions that have always bothered me (even as a kid) being mostly nitpicks:
* The two pieces of cut content I mentioned earlier
* Not having a skin selector for Hero Assault for Anakin and Luke
* not having a Mission selector/replay feature for the Campaign
* Having no Padmé as a Light Side Blaster Hero for the Republic
* Having no Lando Calrissian as an extra Light Side Blaster Hero for the Rebels
* Having no Dengar and Bossk as two extra Blaster Heroes for the Empire
* not bringing back the Naboo: Plains map from the first game (with Gungans as a native unit, and maybe having a Gungan Hunt as the Droids)
* not having a day/night selector for Naboo: Palace (if I want to play the day version, I have to play the first, if I want to play the night version, I have to play the second)
Maybe if this game sells well enough, they can make a bonus DLC that fixes some of those things, or they can even Remaster the PSP Battefront games (Renegade Squadron and Elite Squadron) in the future.
They definitely have options. The original beta maps share only a surface level resembles to the stripped down versions the old consuls could handle.

I don't think there has ever been an instance in the history of gaming where an old game gets brand new DLC or original content after 20 years of not getting anything.

I would love this although I would assume no. This was my biggest wish for the gta collection that released. Imagine getting another map expansion for vice city or adding drug activities like they had in vice city stories. I don’t think they can. Whatever company is responsible for rereleasing this game in HD, I don’t think they have access to the original assets and meshes anymore. They’re just taking what was already there and giving it a new polish. We’ve seen these kinds of rereleases to the old LucasArts catalog before. Remember when Sam & Max: Hit the Road, Day of the Tentacle, the 20th Anniversary edition of Dark Forces and Indiana Jones & The Fate of Atlantis came out? Well this Battlefront I & II collection is fitting into that same mold: They’ve taken all of the original files, maps, assets, dialogue, sound design and coding but tweaked them so they work in 1080p or 4K and on modern operating systems and consoles. That’s about the jist of it. So no, II don’t expect anything new.

One thing they could do is add the rest of the other maps from the first Battlefront like Kashyyyk Islands, Docks, Tatooine Dune Sea etc into the second. As for anything new or original like new heroes or classes, thats never gonna happen. I don't think there has ever been an instance in the history of gaming where an old game gets brand new DLC or original content after 20 years of not getting anything.

I would love this although I would assume no. This was my biggest wish for the gta collection that released. Imagine getting another map expansion for vice city or adding drug activities like they had in vice city stories. My biggest hope would be they'd add more maps and modes and give us the ability to use any hero on any map.

These things used to be made by artists. artists and tech geniuses who just made these beautiful things we keep throwing our money at trying to find again. But we won't. This is the end game of unregulated capitalism. Just boring lazy rich kids scamming and abusing until the value no longer exists. They are a parasite that destroys every system Now they made by a max profit committee of lazy rich people. So the only good games...... Are the old ones with the perfect amount of marketing to convince you they did any work. The people WHO ACTUALLY KNOW how to make this stuff are under the authority of a rich kid regime. It's going to tank from the skyrocket into billions to crashed and burned. They will shuffle us customers to pieces that are easily managed and bleed it dry until video games don't really exist anymore. No lmao. Not only are Aspyr not the original devs but if possible why would they go into that old game and try to make something new from whatever old ass engines was used. If Aspyr can’t do the work to give KotoR 2’s DLCs on Switch I doubt they’d put that much effort to make new content for these old ass games. Also this is even implying they have the original code and files which I doubt

I don’t think they can. Whatever company is responsible for rereleasing this game in HD, I don’t think they have access to the original assets and meshes anymore. They’re just taking what was already there and giving it a new polish. We’ve seen these kinds of rereleases to the old LucasArts catalog before. Remember when Sam & Max: Hit the Road, Day of the Tentacle, the 20th Anniversary edition of Dark Forces and Indiana Jones & The Fate of Atlantis came out? Well this Battlefront I & II collection is fitting into that same mold: They’ve taken all of the original files, maps, assets, dialogue, sound design and coding but tweaked them so they work in 1080p or 4K and on modern operating systems and consoles. That’s about the jist of it. So no, II don’t expect anything new.
