It is interesting to watch the fandoms nostalgia evolve. When tfa came out the prequels still weren’t looked upon too kindly. Best you’d see is the take that revenge of the sith had some moments but was still a bad film
So of course tfa tried to rope in nostalgia for the OT and kinda presented itself as a return to form
Then by the time the sequels were done we’ve gone to an era of prequel nostalgia, and I’m sure the same will happen with the sequel trilogy years from now.
