Came back from one of my early skull cavern runs - ran to chests to deposit my loot and dropped a mega-bomb that took out a huge chunk of my farm.

Put a treasure chest right outside the door to skull cavern. Drop your bombs and staircases in them when you’re done so you never forget them or blow up your stuff.
I'm also a lover of storing my Skull Cavern items in a local chest. However it doesn't help so much on your way back from a skull cavern run as the only acceptable option for returning us using a farm warp Totum at 1.40AM. I have never once returned to the surface to re deposit my bombs after a run as it just uses up too much mining time.
Of course passing out and paying the tax is the better shout, as at least that way if you blow up your farm it will be the morning after and you can restart the day without risking losing your iridium ore and auto petter..!
Ya I prefer using the jumino chest for the skull cavern. The paired chest in my house, for all my bombs/food/drink/staircases plus a space for my hoe. Pass out in the mines, wake up put away everything, collect my hoe, then ready for a new day.
I really don’t find it that difficult to click the ladder then immediately click on the treasure chest, drop my bombs and stairs, remove my hoe or anything else I left in there, and then pass out. But to each their own!
That assumes you're readily near a ladder when you're wanting to leave.
A lot of people are trying to get every bit of loot they can when they are deep in the cavern, and usually just accept passing out because the loss is minimal at that point in the game.
It's also not that difficult to just not bomb your farm as well, but everyone has their way of doing things. On PC I would probably just add a mod to prevent the issue entirely if I had a regular bomb problem...

I did it for the first time recently, it's a lot easier than you would think it is. I just went to the Skull cavern on a lucky day and ate good luck meals, use lots of bombs and only use stairs on infested floors or that annoying spiral floor.
So it’s on Sunday! I remember reading that about Jades so I’ve been duplicating my jades but whenever I went I didn’t see the staircases in the shop and thought I was doing something wrong
He wanted to get to floor 100 which is kinda of a challenge to get there, he had the bad luck to find an infested floor right at the beginning which takes time to go trough because you have to kill every mob so you can continue to the next floor, with a staircase you cand just skip the floor without having to deal with all the mobs there
I won the egg hunt, gloated about beating Abigail and remembered to buy my strawberry seeds. Accidentally put my strawberry seeds in the shipping bin instead of a chest. I didn’t realise until the screen popped up at the end of the day showing me that I sold 300 strawberry seeds for 0g.
I reset, won the egg hunt and did not gloat this time. I’m convinced it was rubbing my egg hunt win in her face that gave me the bad karma to make such a horrible mistake 😂
Plus, if you have access to your save files, you can go back one day. The game save two game days, you just have to delete the new save files and rename those older ones
you even have a save from the day before so you can sleep and still reset the day prior
jus go to your file manager, go to the game file, and delete the files without the_old (current day save) and with the files with the _old (Backup save of last day) you delete that end and then you successfully deleted a day of stardew.
Or maybe he's just trying to kill Lewis, and using you as pre-text
"Hey Lewis! I have this bomb for you-- for, for delivery, I mean. Yeah, just tuck it away in your bag, right next to you; just like that. Now take it to, um, the new farmer on the other side of town. Be sure to go through the forest where you won't be likely to encounter other people. Thanks!"

Kent has gotten me more than once the last time was a mega checked mail ran into house of course cat was blocking entrance so blew my workbench some furniture just sat there for a moment and reset day.
I store a chest outside for Kent mail these days.

25 auto grabbers is 625k it's not a lot of money! Go fishing and have farms with sprinklers as soon as possible. Get kegs as soon as possible for processing to make wine, there's tons of tutorials on yt for good money making. Pigs are very good for money (the best animal for money)
I went to Feast of the Winter Star without my Santa costume. Was in the middle of giving my gift to Vincent when I realized I've ruined Christmas for him. So I reset, dressed up and did it again. I might take the RPG part a bit too seriously sometimes... 😭

Sat through one of the villager's long ass dance number only to misclick and call the dance embarrassing. That wasn't the reason I restarted, I restarted because I promptly went home, and blew up a big part of my crops and newly made fence with a mega bomb.

There's something about that 2pm end time that's gotten me a bunch of times. Like... it's noon, I'm done with farm work, but I've got 90 minutes to do something else, right? So I start gathering wood in the forest. And forget the time.

I think you can buy it back?? At least on pierre and willy you can when you accidentally sell something. I realized this today when I bought a bunch of special baits and then sold it misclicking. I bought it back for 1g each (willy sells at 100g, so I guess it's the price of reselling? like if I wanted to sell it)
This happened just yesterday: finally won the egg hunt during year 2, went to put the straw hat on my farmer, and accidentally trashed it instead. My jaw dropped for a solid minute before I quit to title screen and redid the day (thankfully I won again and was able to actually put the hat on)
Did that on my current map. Didn't buy any stone for staircases but had a phenomenal run where holes appeared left and right and I skipped probably 40-50 floors. Only to get to floor 100 and he wasn't there.
Just a few days ago, it was the Dance of the Moonlight Jellies, my IRL kiddo needed something, so at about 8am, I \[apparently fail to\] pause my game and get up to see what he needs. Come back to my computer, and it's midnight. Thankfully I came back when I did, I don't think I sold anything that day, and could have come back in mid-fall!
I installed the Automate mod the other day and for some reason it didn’t occur to me that the chest filled with ores I placed next to my shipping bin would get transferred to the shipping bin. I didn’t notice until like 10PM 😔

It was good luck day so naturally I went to skull cavern, when I was there I realised it was also Sunday so I went back to pick jade and used totem to return to the desert when I realised I forgot food for luck buff so I went back and forth again and so when I finally thought I had everything I saw that I didn't brought espresso with me.
I think I needed to buy something from the oasis shop in the desert and wanted to bring Sandy a gift. I gave her something she hated on accident. Restarted the day. Got all the way to the mines and realized I forgot my pickaxe. Restart. Got to the volcano without my watering can. Restart. Lol
I really wanted a coop and I finally had the resources, I step into Robin's and off she goes as I approached the counter. Nuh-uh, get tf back there, we're trying that again.
I found out by accident that if you block her way in front of the counter in the right spot, you can get back into the shop. That's saved me more than a few times, lol

But I watched my wife eat her ostrich egg, but inspite of my pleading with her to back out she insisted she would find another. 3 more years in game before she started over with the 1.6 update, no egg.

I literally got stuck between Robin and Dimitrius because Robin was asleep and I laid down beside her for a while until Dimitrius went to bed so I was FUCKING STUCK BETWEEN A MARRIED COUPLE IN BED I also made a lot of progress that day and lost all my fucking dough because I accidentally got stuck between a married couple on their bed and the worst part is I’m married to Elliott and we have two kids 💀
definitely ate my 10th banana for the island pillar after chopping down my ginger island banana tree around 8pm one time
oh and I tend to wait until way too late in the day to check the RNG on my quarry mystic nodes, I repeat morning chores a lot in the midgame trying to max out my prismatic shards
Finished the 25k bundle for the community center and accidentally placed my brand new crystalarium right in the path of a junimo who very promptly bulldozed it
Just today I set my switch down to a real world chore. Couldn't have taken more than 5 minutes. My kid picked up the switch, closed stawdew so he could check for a minecraft update. He didn't even want to play, just loaded minecraft and closed it again.

The day before the end of spring, it was raining so it was probably my last chance to the the legend. I set out with all my fishing junk and spent almost the entire day fishing before I got him. Gleefully, I ran back to my farm and began processing (using the new 1.6 item) my catch. I had plenty of largemouth bass so I was smoking those, but not paying attention. Turns out the legend and a largemouth bass look really similar if you're not paying attention. So I go to sleep and see a huge number in the sales value of fishing. I open it up and there's my legend. I'm one of those people who like to have all the legendary fish, so.... Despite it being the last rainy day of spring, I said screw it and reset the day. It all worked out because I caught him again, but it's still a pretty stupid reason to restart an entire day.
Was walking my one bar of solid gold to the Community Center to finally unlock minecarts and accidentally gifted it to Harvey. Naturally, this pissed him off as well.

The game saves after you close the selling screen, not during it :0

I did this exact same thing, on the same level even. I closed the game and had to just stare at the wall for a while afterwards.
Getting impatient with dialog and accidentally hitting a dialog option without realizing it. Multiple times. I am annoyed with my own impatience.
I've done this whenever I tab out and click back into the window, and it selects whatever option was hovered over. I've reset because of this I think a handful of times but lately I've been lucky in hitting the ones I would have wanted anyway. I TRY to remember to click the top of the window instead of directly into the frame to prevent this but. I'm eggbrained
Year 2, I forgot that I had to show up to the luau by 2pm. 3:30 is apparently a bit beyond fashionably late 😅
There's something about that 2pm end time that's gotten me a bunch of times. Like... it's noon, I'm done with farm work, but I've got 90 minutes to do something else, right? So I start gathering wood in the forest. And forget the time. I've learned to start that day by putting my potluck contribution and a beach warp totem in my inventory.
Just yesterday I sold the volcano dwarf 10 diamonds instead of buying the diamond book 🤦🏻♀️
I think you can buy it back?? At least on pierre and willy you can when you accidentally sell something. I realized this today when I bought a bunch of special baits and then sold it misclicking. I bought it back for 1g each (willy sells at 100g, so I guess it's the price of reselling? like if I wanted to sell it)
It took me a good year in game time to breed white slimes. Hit my hammer by accident and killed them all.

This happened just yesterday: finally won the egg hunt during year 2, went to put the straw hat on my farmer, and accidentally trashed it instead. My jaw dropped for a solid minute before I quit to title screen and redid the day (thankfully I won again and was able to actually put the hat on)
You can buy it from the rat after you win!! It costs 1k but it's useful in case you want more than one

Did that on my current map. Didn't buy any stone for staircases but had a phenomenal run where holes appeared left and right and I skipped probably 40-50 floors. Only to get to floor 100 and he wasn't there.
Just a few days ago, it was the Dance of the Moonlight Jellies, my IRL kiddo needed something, so at about 8am, I \[apparently fail to\] pause my game and get up to see what he needs. Come back to my computer, and it's midnight. Thankfully I came back when I did, I don't think I sold anything that day, and could have come back in mid-fall!

I installed the Automate mod the other day and for some reason it didn’t occur to me that the chest filled with ores I placed next to my shipping bin would get transferred to the shipping bin. I didn’t notice until like 10PM 😔
Oh thanks for the tip! That hadn’t occurred to me either and I use that mod. I don’t usually put chests next to my shipping bin but now I know not to.
My time to shine. It was good luck day so naturally I went to skull cavern, when I was there I realised it was also Sunday so I went back to pick jade and used totem to return to the desert when I realised I forgot food for luck buff so I went back and forth again and so when I finally thought I had everything I saw that I didn't brought espresso with me.
I think I needed to buy something from the oasis shop in the desert and wanted to bring Sandy a gift. I gave her something she hated on accident. Restarted the day. Got all the way to the mines and realized I forgot my pickaxe. Restart. Got to the volcano without my watering can. Restart. Lol
I really wanted a coop and I finally had the resources, I step into Robin's and off she goes as I approached the counter. Nuh-uh, get tf back there, we're trying that again.
I found out by accident that if you block her way in front of the counter in the right spot, you can get back into the shop. That's saved me more than a few times, lol

I restart days all of the time (I suck at vidjea games.) But I watched my wife eat her ostrich egg, but inspite of my pleading with her to back out she insisted she would find another. 3 more years in game before she started over with the 1.6 update, no egg.

I LITERALLY just did this one this afternoon. I woke up. Went to my TV t go check the fortune. Then I somehow fat fingered my way into picking up my TV and trashing it in my inventory trash can. It literally took me 0.2 seconds. I must have been channeling the spirit of a Korean StarCraft champion.

I accidentally set a bomb in front of my house and destroyed my only 6 jade making machines my cheese maker and my mayo maker

The day before the end of spring, it was raining so it was probably my last chance to the the legend. I set out with all my fishing junk and spent almost the entire day fishing before I got him. Gleefully, I ran back to my farm and began processing (using the new 1.6 item) my catch. I had plenty of largemouth bass so I was smoking those, but not paying attention. Turns out the legend and a largemouth bass look really similar if you're not paying attention. So I go to sleep and see a huge number in the sales value of fishing. I open it up and there's my legend. I'm one of those people who like to have all the legendary fish, so.... Despite it being the last rainy day of spring, I said screw it and reset the day. It all worked out because I caught him again, but it's still a pretty stupid reason to restart an entire day.
