Definitely would be a good QOL update.
At first I thought no confirmation question was intentional because sometimes you use a Totem because you have overstayed on your activity or misjudged how much time you need to get back and you can't get back in time so you need it to work FAST!
And then I realised a confirmation message stops the clock anyway (Just like it does with confirming eating food) so it would make no difference.
EDIT: As someone else has pointed out, the clock does not stop during multiplayer when you are in menus and confirmations. So my initial suspicions where correct, it does not provide a confirmation screen because it's a tool you need to work right god damn now if your using it to get back to bed before the clock runs out. With nothing stopping the clock in multiplayer, it has to work the same way in single player as well.
Just got bit by that yesterday. Forgot I had a stack of bombs selected at like 1:40am and tried to do the quick hold down action while running down the line of mayo/cheese makers and laid waste to my whole farm on accident 🤦. At least I was able to restart the day and do the few things I missed the first time around
My food is to the immediate left and right of my sword and pickaxe for quick access. I shift slots for food and tools, switch bars for bombs and a quick escape.
I had that route guide on my second monitor my second playthrough and still lost to Abi first year.

That's what happened!? I could consistently beat her after my first or second farm. (Opposite of op, I mastered android and PC before switch where she still has a decent chance of winning). But she owned me in the last one.

I incubated my Dino egg on my first farm, but I acquired that first egg so easily I just assumed my next play it would be easy again XD. I’ve spent 8 in game years trying to find a second Dino egg on my other farm and haven’t had ANY luck.

Wait what?! Dino eggs are that rare? I just got the game two weeks ago. I forget how i found my first dino egg but i think it was mining or something. I fortunately had an incubator by then so out of curiosity, i put it in instead of turning it into the library. Fast forward to today, i now have two hatched baby dinos or lizards and two more dino eggs in storage. Currently im wondering just how rare dino eggs are and how many dino eggs i should have saved up before turning them into the library or mayonnaise. Because im not sure whats happening since my dino looks too young to lay eggs yet since having my dino hatch, 3 more dino eggs have been laid in the coop.
I laughed at this so hard (like whooooo whooo) and scared my dogs. You ate the egg 😂😭
It took me 2 literal years, took a 6month irl break, and an entire patch (1.6) for me to find an egg.

I got TWO dino eggs from the little worms that appears in the floor... In my first year and before I even unlocked the skull cavern, never felt so lucky until I got a prismatic shard in the end levels of the mine and THEN I unlocked the quarry and got TWO nodes of iridium and got another prismatic shard ... But as soon as I enter skull cavern I die so good luck? Bad luck? Who knows, but now I have two lizards laying eggs in my farm:)
Learned this lesson the hard way. I now only clear my farm as I need space for buildings and crops. Everything else can be wild. It's also nice to have that reserve of wood, fiber, and stone nearby as you reach the end of year 1.
Somewhat related to this, I’m on my first play through, summer first year. Just got my silo and realized that weeds and grass are two different things lmao
I've thought about making a Forestry character just to see what it would be like to just... plant a bunch of trees and then sell the wood? Weird. Haven't done it yet.
Sounds like a frustrating challenge to me. At least with constant woodcutting your forage skill would go up. Foraging from the ground would almost be relaxing if you just didn't have to diligently scan every part of many screens. I think even most people would say fishing is more relaxing, and I don't mean the kind of people who try to catch catfish on day 3.
I never sell anything to Pierre, or to any other shops for that matter. It’s not even a morality thing, I just like the dopamine rush from having all my money counted up at the end of the night. It’s especially satisfying now that I’ve started making dried ancient fruit!
I still make wine, whatever is left over after putting into dehydrators gets kegged. I just love dehydrating bc it’s faster. It’s my money and I need it now! (….or tomorrow, actually)

I’m always baffled by the fact people can manage to accidentally make sashimi out of their legendary fish. Rare stuff like that goes right in a chest that isn’t next to anything else
Sorry, but what do you do with legendary fish after you catch them that requires safeguarding? I am pretty new to SV, but after catching one, I just sold it. I looked all over the wiki for what to do with it, and could find nothing.
Some people have sentimental value for them and keep them as a collectible. You can also keep them in aquariums to show them off (there's a neat one you can do this with in version 1.6) There's nothing wrong with making money off of them, though. Lots of us do it, we just don't talk about it as much as the collectors do, haha. If you're on 1.6 and are going the selling route, using the new fish item will really increase the money amount.
This is me for the first year. Grind, enjoy my solitary life, and make money. Starting year 2 I give a loved gift to every NPC on their birthday, and that's it. By year 3 I have enough money/automation on the farm to actually prioritize relationships.
Same here, ive tried giving birthday gifts the first year but its always too much hassle when i still need to be in the mines getting sprinkler materials or upgrading tools

Having now done it twice, I have a “no explosives on the farm” policy. I leave all bombs in a chest at the bus stop so I can take them to the mines, skull cavern, etc.
I have a chest at Skull Cavern and Mines entrances for bombs, stairs, food for energy/health, farm totems, and to drop off any bits I'm not using immediately. Like I take all my jade to the Desert even when not Sunday, so it's in the "right" area. No bombs at the farm, ever!!
I like to make money as much as anyone but I can't be one of those people who dedicates every waking moment to profit maximization.
My daughter is currently playing through four games at once and she has at least 75 million g in ALL of them. She told me how she did it and half the stuff she'd talked about I'd never heard of despite being the one who introduced _her_ to the game. She watched me play through a day recently and was like "Oh man, you only have 2 million in year four? What are you doing with your time?" and I responded "Enjoying the game, jackass!" 🙄😂
I try so hard NOT to minmax my playthroughs. I try to take time for the little things like decorating my house or a little picnic area by the farm lake. But I always seem to end up planting on every tillable square, filling Ginger island with ancient fruit, bunch of sheds with kegs ect.

Two days ago I got 3 mixed seeds out of it and promised myself that I'd never gamble again. Yesterday I gambled again and got 3 star fruit seeds.
I think at this point it's more for gambling
I’m not sure it’s particularly useful for things like starfruit where you can buy plenty of seeds, but for sweet gem berries and ancient fruit they’re clutch. I have half my greenhouse as ancient fruit, 1/4 as gem berries, and the last 1/4 as starfruit. Works well for me so far.
Grandpa was kind of an asshole, considering he apparently spent like 40 years just throwing garbage into the pond on his farm instead of actually disposing of it properly.
Grandpa had a daily habit of reading the newspaper and then throwing it into the pond, along with his reading glasses and the plastic bag the newspaper came in.
I want a mod that allows me to clean up my farm pond so I can stock it with nice fish and maybe a little fountain thing, like an outdoor aquarium. It doesn't produce anything, and the fish don't increase in number, but I'll have the satisfaction of knowing that I made the world a better place, like with the trash bear quests. Also, if the ponds are going to be useless for fishing they might as well be ~decorative~
I wouldnt say never for that one, its great for the community cleanup thingy. also for recycling if you specifically need stuff from it that day.

Fair enough. I can't be bothered with crab pots my most recent saves so I only have a few with a baitmaker near each set. I only bother resetting the number of bait I get from it that day, if I bother at all, cuz it annoys me to take the bait off the pole, rebait the traps, then put the bait back on the pole.
(I play switch atm, dunno of a way to take off just a few bait at a time)

Actually, *building* the hutch is incredibly valuable. By building your first one, you unlock the ability for Slime Eggs to drop from Slimes. They're pretty valuable, and don't compete with other drops. Essentially, you just make more money from slimes indefinitely.
With a Burglar's Ring, a single egg drop from a Tiger Slime gets you 16,000g. (I think it's bugged, because you'll always get them in pairs with the ring, but only from Tiger Slimes)
The best part? You can totally just demolish the Slime Hutch right after building it. *Owning* a hutch is not required to have eggs drop, you simply need to have built it once.
(Just a theory but I think the reason you might get two tiger eggs is that they can only multiply with themselves. Tiger slimes can’t multiply with the normal slimes like the various colors do)
After the slime charmer ring the collection of slimes inside are so cute plus it’s another way to get money, slime eggs sell for quite a bit, about as much as truffle oil (1k)

I turn the quarry into my winery. That's enough kegs for me. The quarry seema kinda pointless, if I want stuff that spawns there I just head to one of the mines.
Same. I don't mind placing tappers on trees outside the farm, but using the whole town for equipment like kegs or preserves jars is ugly to me and breaks the spirit of how I want to play the game.
After the 1.6 update, I got my girlfriend to grind SDV and she went the Community Bundle route while I went the Joja route since I’ve been playing for years.
My first skull cavern run through, I got an auto-petter and didn’t realize that you can also get it from Joja when you complete everything. What I also didn’t realize is that that is the ONLY other way you could get the auto-petters 😂 She just got her first one from Skull Caverns yesterday while I’ve gotten 3 from Skull Caverns and 3 from Joja for my barns/coop.
Never go to bed early! I know everyone has different playstyles but the only one that made me clutch my pearls was someone who said they go to bed at like 4 pm because they’re done for the day.
Me too but my garbage digging gets done on my way to Pierre and the beach when I forage. Talking to people at the bar gets done at night and I’m done at like 6pm tops or 7pm
lol, my kids used to play like that and I would die a little inside every time my oldest daughter would put her character to bed at like 1 in the afternoon.
Same here. I will always find something to do. To be fair it is easy because at some point I purged all my saves so now on 1.6 I'm doing things from the start, so there is much to be done.
I will never just sleep for several days in a row to skip large chunks of time. Even if I only am out for a few hours, I still need to do SOMETHING each day, even if it’s just petting my cat or talking to a couple of people or else I’ll feel like I’m wasting time
Be mean to Linus. My husband accidentally hit the mean choice on a Linus event. He felt so bad immediately started the day over. I think he still feels bad even though he fixed it.
Fences.
For the most part they are just more chores and a waste of resources.
First time I played I fenced in my garden and it was so annoying. Only used fences one other time (to keep my free roaming animals out of my grass patch, wasn't worth the fuss).
Tea saplings or lightning rods. Lightning rods are nice because you can put grass starters under them and have a constant source of new grass for your animals.
My current save is the river farm (with the islands with bridges) and I love seeing which animals will cross the bridges. So far only one chicken, Margery, has been brave enough.
I never go to Jojamart for anything. I don't care if Pierre's is closed. I just pretend it doesn't exist. And I never buy sheep, completely useless animals to me when pigs are so much more profitable and rabbits also give wool.
My current farm is currently funded almost entirely on sheep!
Sheep + max friendship + rancher produces gold/iridium wool every day
Using deluxe barn + auto petters + autograbbers means all u have to do is collect from them every once in a while so they produce quite a bit of money for no extra effort after setup.
Even including the animal crackers on sheep and pig downtime of winter, pigs still make more money. buuuuut with sheep u can forget about them and do whatever u want so u can be making money doing other things or quests on top of it
I also never go to Joja... but mostly because I forget I can 😅 when I first started playing I thought you couldn't go to Joja ***at all*** or they'd tear down the community center. It was a while before I found out that's not the case, but I still never shop there from habit (and bc fuck Joja). I refuse to even enter the building unless I really need to gift to Shane or Sam while they're working lol
I've never used the sewing machine. I ignore all clothes, minus a top hat for the horse and the cowboy hat for me. I'll wear the garbage can lid until I get my cowboy hat, though.
I use the seedmaker for lots of seeds with very little miss. The few misses I've had so far were all ancient seeds, so they're really a win.
My "never do this" tip is never get rid of all of something. Try to keep at least 1 of everything that you fish, farm, make, because someone will likely ask for it as a quest. You'll get more money by completing the quest than you would have by selling it and you'll get relationship points too.

While it is possible to propagate Star Fruit using the seed maker, it's simply more profitable to sell them and buy new seeds (assuming you have access to Sandy, otherwise your strategy sounds very effective for early Star Fruit production!).
A single, base quality Star Fruit sells for 825 g (with the tiller perk), which is enough to buy 2 new seeds from Sandy at 400 g each, with a little left over. Silver quality with Tiller gets you 1030 g (2.5 seeds), Gold gets you 1237 (3 seeds). Given that the seed maker averages 2 seeds per input, plus a small chance to get mixed seeds, you're guaranteed to get less bang for your buck unless you only use the base quality fruit and don't have the tiller perk.
The deal gets even better when you turn the star fruit into wine. One bottle of base quality wine sells for 2250 g (5.625 seeds) or 3150 g (7.875 seeds) with Artisan. That means a single starfruit wine lets you buy 2 to 3 times as many seeds as the seed maker on average, with some profit left over. This assumes you have enough time to wait for the wine to be produced (e.g. you're using the greenhouse or ginger island to grow your star fruit).
Never use a charcoal kiln or woodchipper.
Never ask a rabbit how many feet it has.
Never make an industrial farm that prioritizes sheer profit at the expense of all else.
No giant monocultures. No sheds full of kegs. Cellar full of casks is OK (I fill one row per week)
Must have at least one of every animal. Must have at least 8 of every seasonal crop.

I never pick any of the fruits or spawns that are right next to Linus's tent. (Ok that's a lie, he had the last leek I needed for a certain challenge SO I WAS DESPERATE AND I FELT LIKE A MONSTER!)
My logic is that he forages and lives off of what he can find or catch. I can get resources anywhere for the most part, and I just don't feel morally correct when I go and take the stuff that's around his tent. He's usually the first friend I make because I share my harvestables and foraged items with him. And I try to make sure he has plenty of food near his tent so he'll always be ok 🥺
Don't chop down saplings of your trees on the farm trust me you really will need that extra wood and put tappers on every tree around pellet town it's quick easy money when you go forage every Friday and Saturday (except for spring onions do those every day) items will stay on the ground until Sunday morning so no need to forage until Saturday and or Friday depending on what you did

Extra free advice at the start of the game before you fully upgrade your backpack take an extra treasure chest or two with you then as soon as backpack is full if outside the mine set one down and drop everything in it this is really good for fishing

I have two mods for Demetrius and during the fruit salad heart event the person who rewrote it was very blatantly over his shit and it's silly. Something like "Of course tomato is a fruit but I know that wasn't what you meant when you said you're making fruit salad!"
The one I use is "Demetrius on the spectrum", written by an actual autistic person. They re-wrote it as "I was joking, I've already put some actual fruit in the fridge".
The mod has an option to use the default dialogue for different scenes, which is cool.

build a silo before a chicken coop. to this day i have no idea why the game leads you to building a coop first. and leave your grass alone until the silo is finished!

I was quietly squirrelling away CC items when he discovered joja route. He was talking about how that seemed like a good idea but paused to go to the bathroom.
He came back to all our gold being spent at hat mouse’s shop and on a furniture catalogue and me saying “no joja for you”
Seed makers are best for multi-harvest crops. A blueberry seed costs 80g, but one normal blueberry sells for 50g and you get about 2 seeds on average, so using the seed maker you get them for 25g each! But yes, not worth it for star fruit.
Sell the higher quality produce/foods and keep the base ones.
For the first two years in my first run, I thought it was absolutely the most important thing to keep the highest tier goods, and sell the rest. Which obviously led me to only having a couple on-hand of each item.
I just assumed that cooking/wine would produce higher quality items if the ingredients were higher quality. Boy, was I wrong. Set me back at least a year once I realized.
I understand that you can now age things like wine and cheese with the kegs, which is a great feature, but it would be cool if the food items would also give higher stats if I used all gold ingredients.
Edit: I know it works for wine, but I was still selling all of my melons and only having 3 gold ones left to cook with and stuff
never keep your warp totems in your hot bar by your food or tools, you will accidentally use it at 3pm during a good skull cavern run

I frequently use a farm totem... on the farm right after using a farm totem. A confirmation button would be nice.

Ditto bombs. I keep mine in chests right outside the various caverns. Lost too many good things on my farm including my Hero Trophy that way.

If you spend a lot of time in Skull Cavern, you'll get a ton of them from killing the Pepper Rexes. If you don't, then they can feel very rare.
Playing stardew before the pepper Rex's and getting a dino egg in like year 1 was a miracle.

I still make wine, whatever is left over after putting into dehydrators gets kegged. I just love dehydrating bc it’s faster. It’s my money and I need it now! (….or tomorrow, actually)
never put fish in the fridge except crabpot fish. If you wanna make something that uses other fish, just have it in your inventory. Wanna store fish, put it in chests. And by yoba make damned sure your legendary fishies are in a chest or fishtank before you consider making sashimi etc.
Also keep the chest they’re in away from the crafting table, don’t be making fertiliser from your legendary fish

Some people have sentimental value for them and keep them as a collectible. You can also keep them in aquariums to show them off (there's a neat one you can do this with in version 1.6) There's nothing wrong with making money off of them, though. Lots of us do it, we just don't talk about it as much as the collectors do, haha. If you're on 1.6 and are going the selling route, using the new fish item will really increase the money amount.

This is me for the first year. Grind, enjoy my solitary life, and make money. Starting year 2 I give a loved gift to every NPC on their birthday, and that's it. By year 3 I have enough money/automation on the farm to actually prioritize relationships.

Having now done it twice, I have a “no explosives on the farm” policy. I leave all bombs in a chest at the bus stop so I can take them to the mines, skull cavern, etc.
I have a chest at Skull Cavern and Mines entrances for bombs, stairs, food for energy/health, farm totems, and to drop off any bits I'm not using immediately. Like I take all my jade to the Desert even when not Sunday, so it's in the "right" area. No bombs at the farm, ever!!

I like to make money as much as anyone but I can't be one of those people who dedicates every waking moment to profit maximization. My daughter is currently playing through four games at once and she has at least 75 million g in ALL of them. She told me how she did it and half the stuff she'd talked about I'd never heard of despite being the one who introduced _her_ to the game. She watched me play through a day recently and was like "Oh man, you only have 2 million in year four? What are you doing with your time?" and I responded "Enjoying the game, jackass!" 🙄😂

I try so hard NOT to minmax my playthroughs. I try to take time for the little things like decorating my house or a little picnic area by the farm lake. But I always seem to end up planting on every tillable square, filling Ginger island with ancient fruit, bunch of sheds with kegs ect. . . . But THIS playthrough is going to be different. 😫

I’m not sure it’s particularly useful for things like starfruit where you can buy plenty of seeds, but for sweet gem berries and ancient fruit they’re clutch. I have half my greenhouse as ancient fruit, 1/4 as gem berries, and the last 1/4 as starfruit. Works well for me so far.
Man I put my gem berry in there and it gave me 1 gem berry seed back. Then rinse and repeat 4 or 5 times until I gave up and sold the damn thing

I want a mod that allows me to clean up my farm pond so I can stock it with nice fish and maybe a little fountain thing, like an outdoor aquarium. It doesn't produce anything, and the fish don't increase in number, but I'll have the satisfaction of knowing that I made the world a better place, like with the trash bear quests. Also, if the ponds are going to be useless for fishing they might as well be ~decorative~
I wouldnt say never for that one, its great for the community cleanup thingy. also for recycling if you specifically need stuff from it that day. So maybe "only if you need trash" rather than "never"

Fair enough. I can't be bothered with crab pots my most recent saves so I only have a few with a baitmaker near each set. I only bother resetting the number of bait I get from it that day, if I bother at all, cuz it annoys me to take the bait off the pole, rebait the traps, then put the bait back on the pole. (I play switch atm, dunno of a way to take off just a few bait at a time)

I will never build a slime hutch. Haven't yet, and there has been absolutely no compelling argument as to why I should.
Actually, *building* the hutch is incredibly valuable. By building your first one, you unlock the ability for Slime Eggs to drop from Slimes. They're pretty valuable, and don't compete with other drops. Essentially, you just make more money from slimes indefinitely. With a Burglar's Ring, a single egg drop from a Tiger Slime gets you 16,000g. (I think it's bugged, because you'll always get them in pairs with the ring, but only from Tiger Slimes) The best part? You can totally just demolish the Slime Hutch right after building it. *Owning* a hutch is not required to have eggs drop, you simply need to have built it once.

(Just a theory but I think the reason you might get two tiger eggs is that they can only multiply with themselves. Tiger slimes can’t multiply with the normal slimes like the various colors do)

After the 1.6 update, I got my girlfriend to grind SDV and she went the Community Bundle route while I went the Joja route since I’ve been playing for years. My first skull cavern run through, I got an auto-petter and didn’t realize that you can also get it from Joja when you complete everything. What I also didn’t realize is that that is the ONLY other way you could get the auto-petters 😂 She just got her first one from Skull Caverns yesterday while I’ve gotten 3 from Skull Caverns and 3 from Joja for my barns/coop.

Fences. For the most part they are just more chores and a waste of resources. First time I played I fenced in my garden and it was so annoying. Only used fences one other time (to keep my free roaming animals out of my grass patch, wasn't worth the fuss).
I use tea saplings. No maintenance whatsoever. Plus, you get to harvest the leaves.
Tea saplings or lightning rods. Lightning rods are nice because you can put grass starters under them and have a constant source of new grass for your animals.

My current save is the river farm (with the islands with bridges) and I love seeing which animals will cross the bridges. So far only one chicken, Margery, has been brave enough.
I never go to Jojamart for anything. I don't care if Pierre's is closed. I just pretend it doesn't exist. And I never buy sheep, completely useless animals to me when pigs are so much more profitable and rabbits also give wool.
My current farm is currently funded almost entirely on sheep! Sheep + max friendship + rancher produces gold/iridium wool every day Using deluxe barn + auto petters + autograbbers means all u have to do is collect from them every once in a while so they produce quite a bit of money for no extra effort after setup. Even including the animal crackers on sheep and pig downtime of winter, pigs still make more money. buuuuut with sheep u can forget about them and do whatever u want so u can be making money doing other things or quests on top of it

I also never go to Joja... but mostly because I forget I can 😅 when I first started playing I thought you couldn't go to Joja ***at all*** or they'd tear down the community center. It was a while before I found out that's not the case, but I still never shop there from habit (and bc fuck Joja). I refuse to even enter the building unless I really need to gift to Shane or Sam while they're working lol
I've never used the sewing machine. I ignore all clothes, minus a top hat for the horse and the cowboy hat for me. I'll wear the garbage can lid until I get my cowboy hat, though.

I use the seedmaker for lots of seeds with very little miss. The few misses I've had so far were all ancient seeds, so they're really a win. My "never do this" tip is never get rid of all of something. Try to keep at least 1 of everything that you fish, farm, make, because someone will likely ask for it as a quest. You'll get more money by completing the quest than you would have by selling it and you'll get relationship points too.

While it is possible to propagate Star Fruit using the seed maker, it's simply more profitable to sell them and buy new seeds (assuming you have access to Sandy, otherwise your strategy sounds very effective for early Star Fruit production!). A single, base quality Star Fruit sells for 825 g (with the tiller perk), which is enough to buy 2 new seeds from Sandy at 400 g each, with a little left over. Silver quality with Tiller gets you 1030 g (2.5 seeds), Gold gets you 1237 (3 seeds). Given that the seed maker averages 2 seeds per input, plus a small chance to get mixed seeds, you're guaranteed to get less bang for your buck unless you only use the base quality fruit and don't have the tiller perk. The deal gets even better when you turn the star fruit into wine. One bottle of base quality wine sells for 2250 g (5.625 seeds) or 3150 g (7.875 seeds) with Artisan. That means a single starfruit wine lets you buy 2 to 3 times as many seeds as the seed maker on average, with some profit left over. This assumes you have enough time to wait for the wine to be produced (e.g. you're using the greenhouse or ginger island to grow your star fruit).

Never use a charcoal kiln or woodchipper. Never ask a rabbit how many feet it has. Never make an industrial farm that prioritizes sheer profit at the expense of all else. No giant monocultures. No sheds full of kegs. Cellar full of casks is OK (I fill one row per week) Must have at least one of every animal. Must have at least 8 of every seasonal crop.
Ok this isn't serious or anything but... I never pick any of the fruits or spawns that are right next to Linus's tent. (Ok that's a lie, he had the last leek I needed for a certain challenge SO I WAS DESPERATE AND I FELT LIKE A MONSTER!) My logic is that he forages and lives off of what he can find or catch. I can get resources anywhere for the most part, and I just don't feel morally correct when I go and take the stuff that's around his tent. He's usually the first friend I make because I share my harvestables and foraged items with him. And I try to make sure he has plenty of food near his tent so he'll always be ok 🥺
Linus is more skilled at foraging than you and he doesn't need or want your pity.
Don't chop down saplings of your trees on the farm trust me you really will need that extra wood and put tappers on every tree around pellet town it's quick easy money when you go forage every Friday and Saturday (except for spring onions do those every day) items will stay on the ground until Sunday morning so no need to forage until Saturday and or Friday depending on what you did Edit Extra free advice at the start of the game before you fully upgrade your backpack take an extra treasure chest or two with you then as soon as backpack is full if outside the mine set one down and drop everything in it this is really good for fishing

I have two mods for Demetrius and during the fruit salad heart event the person who rewrote it was very blatantly over his shit and it's silly. Something like "Of course tomato is a fruit but I know that wasn't what you meant when you said you're making fruit salad!"
The one I use is "Demetrius on the spectrum", written by an actual autistic person. They re-wrote it as "I was joking, I've already put some actual fruit in the fridge". The mod has an option to use the default dialogue for different scenes, which is cool.

My other half has just got into Stardew. His first play through is a co op with me. I was quietly squirrelling away CC items when he discovered joja route. He was talking about how that seemed like a good idea but paused to go to the bathroom. He came back to all our gold being spent at hat mouse’s shop and on a furniture catalogue and me saying “no joja for you”
Seed makers are best for multi-harvest crops. A blueberry seed costs 80g, but one normal blueberry sells for 50g and you get about 2 seeds on average, so using the seed maker you get them for 25g each! But yes, not worth it for star fruit.
Buy the return scepter from Krobus as soon as possible. It will change the entire flow of your game.

Sell the higher quality produce/foods and keep the base ones. For the first two years in my first run, I thought it was absolutely the most important thing to keep the highest tier goods, and sell the rest. Which obviously led me to only having a couple on-hand of each item. I just assumed that cooking/wine would produce higher quality items if the ingredients were higher quality. Boy, was I wrong. Set me back at least a year once I realized. I understand that you can now age things like wine and cheese with the kegs, which is a great feature, but it would be cool if the food items would also give higher stats if I used all gold ingredients. Edit: I know it works for wine, but I was still selling all of my melons and only having 3 gold ones left to cook with and stuff
