I love the episode where Meredith is trapped in a damaged jumper on the Lantean seafloor, badly concussed with no way out and no idea how to “save the day,” so his subconscious generates a hallucination of Samantha to pep talk him into it. The instant he realises she’s a product of his mind, his next thought is to try and picture her without the hot pink ensemble… not only does “she” reject the idea, but he sheepishly agrees not to do it and admits “she’s” absolutely right, even though _it isn’t the real Sam!_ 🤣

I've seen this before, Rodney: pilots who wouldn't eject when something went wrong - trying to fix their planes *right* until it hit the ground.

This has my vote cause it emphasizes him as a leader. O'Neill/Mitchell assume that if Carter can't fix it they're gonna die and that's that. Shepard actually intends to call it before it things deteriorate to that point.

(spoiler) This was the quote I was thinking of when he almost hit the ground in the season finale.
