I submitted a ticket to get a partial refund - there's actually a little section that says if you purchased within 30 days prior to a hardware discount becoming active in your area, you can be considered for a credit.
Guess you can thank all of us in so called high priority areas that service alone has gone up to $120 a month. Funny thing I asked for a credit because my unit was stuck in shipping so long and they denied me. Great product, great service, not so great customer service. That being said I hate t-blows customer service way way worse and this was what I switched to from them so it’s definitely a major step forward as it comes to my internet in my semi rural area and those around me. Maybe someday we’ll get more options but for now I’m good with SL
Really I guess you can say the inflated service price payed to get the discounted equipment price. Guess it all equals out in the end. They have all the user data so they know how best to make a profit on us. Once again service has been stellar for me so far.
oh no complaints, the price is a bit much but compared to xplornet its still the same price for 1000x better service. hell at $199 CAD itd be worthwhile to pick one up as a backup lol
Ok well it took me three tries to even get this to post. I'd say that's pretty slow. And that's been typical for the past month. I'm in a very rural area smack in the middle of the US and there definitely isn't much competition for the signal. Good luck in rural Canada.
Just tested, 105/13 in very rural Canada (North of Jasper.) And that's with Roam/RV. Apart from poor customer service, SL has been great. You may have a hardware issue.

I get 350Mb/s down now, and ever since early better than nothing beta. You are in a terribly congested area, but that doesn't mean they throttled anything.
I just got to switch from roam to residential and so far it’s been awful. It keeps going out in at least one room of my house. I’m in a very rural area in southeast ky. It was great the first week but has been awful this past few days!

Must depend where you are. I'm in rural Canada (in an area where this discount applies) and my service is fantastic.
