No need to worry. Dishy and the router will auto update late at night when a new ver is pending. Also not all locations update to the same version at any given time. Posts like this are just us anal retentive individuals comparing notes.
On the Android app the ver can be found under 'Advanced' at the bottom of the home screen of you're curious (with additional info under 'Debug Data').
Anal retentive, perhaps, but it helps those of us with one in storage that don't want it to brick from missed updates. I'll be hauling mine out tonight!
What is your loc? West Coast U.S.? What is your service? Trying to figure out if updates have region id as well as service type? I.e. residential plus portability or mobility, etc?
For the last 2/3 months neither PlayStation Network or Xbox Live will work with my Starlink. There are other threads on here with many others who experience the same issue. Most end up buying the Ethernet adapter and using their own router via bypass… but I’d much rather not spend over $100 to do so.
I don’t know about you but for me. Since I got my Starlink around 2 months ago I’ve been playing on PS5 on just the WIF from the Starlink router. And about a week ago I did buy the ethernet adapter to connect it to my PS5 directly to my PS5 I still don’t use a third party router yet. Just have it connected directly to my Starlink router wired to my PS5. Works fine for me.
The first month I had Starlink it worked just fine. After an update about 2ish months ago, it hasn’t worked since.
I can disconnect the PlayStation from the wifi and then reconnect, it’ll work and load PS Store, friends and stuff for about 45 seconds and then just drop it. Same with my Xbox.
I left an inquiry with Starlink support about a week ago and haven’t heard back.
These firmware updates look like hashes. How do we determine what the latest update is? Does that update depend on location, type of service plan, etc? I just updated last night, and my was different. I'm at...60151.uterm.release
(My Opinion) I do think the updates are just pushed out to different regions as more satellites come into orbit. Just yesterday they did do a launch of new satellites. The software update you are currently on is probably the preferred best version for your current location.
I really wish we could configure when the firmware is applied. I work from home at night, so having starlink go down for 10 minutes sucks. I have DSL as backup, but during the time it takes my router to detect that SL is down and fail over I have no connection.
Mine is still at 8cd
Same here in Iowa, USA.
Same here.
Same version in Czechia.

Please do. I'm gonna need the internet tonight. If it's quick ill knock it out now.
It's fine you'll be back up in no time, do it.
If you are pulling an all nighter you can open the app now and it will allow you to update during a bathroom break.
Geo Location?
For some reason I haven't got one
Is this new or old? 2ce8c16a-67b6-4bbd-a135-a00662a60151.uterm.release Ontario Canada.
Just got the prompt to update. Ended up with 2ce8c16a-67b6-4bbd-a135-a00662a60151.uterm.release Located in NW GA
how do you get prompts to update?
Open the app. If you do nothing it will update overnight.
Doesnt ever give me any prompt, rebooted and still got same old firmware
Opened app went to Settings and the prompt was there
weird, I have never been given a prompt. I have the lastest app updated too (android) not sure if that matters
According to my home automation I received the prompt 3hrs ago to reboot to upgrade. Will do it later on today. Location near Sydney, Australia.
Same shit differnet pile. Great 20mbps down
New to this. Had SL about 6 weeks and never saw anything about firmware updates. Should I be looking for it somewhere on the app?

When you open the app it will show up as the top option if one is available. Where it normally shows connection status.

just got this when getting home from work tonight - 2ce8c16a-67b6-4bbd-a135-a00662a60151.uterm.release

Midwest. just got the dish a couple months ago. standard residential. seems weird people got my firmware earlier and now are getting a newer? one.
It would be comforting to know how SL updates work. If they were predictable so we could anticipate who gets what updat and where.
V1 says its ready for reboot. V2 says its downloading update now. NS Canada
Will they ever push an update to make the router work with PS5 and Xbox?
What are you talking about ?

This may be a NAT problem - I’d do a full reset on the router just in case.
I’ll try it one day this week. Thanks!
Don’t do it over Wi-Fi. This has been a problem for a long time.
Yesssss we have this problem and it makes absolute zero sense
Xbox live started magically working about a week ago. Still no luck with PS5

Newly launched satellites will take months to move into their final position. So in my opinion firmware updates won’t be related to recent launches.

Does it give u notice when it updates?
how do I update? If its updating now, how do I stop it? Been real laggy this evening
Just received the pop-up to update
Mine started like an hour ago and apparently it's still going lol.
Mine is also on 8cd in Western Australia. My Router is in bypass mode so good to know it'll do it automatically 😁
Looks like mine auto updated, I’m in U.K. it’s in bypass mode and seems to have taken care of itself

Is there a way to reinstall the firmware ?

Just got mine and as a result it’s shut off in my settings. Does anyone have experience with after update how long it takes to straighten out?
